  1. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Jan 7, 2006 -> 12:39 PM) So what I am hearing is that XM radio is really a good thing for us out of the Chicago TV area (except for WGN on cable)? I have considered buying me that there new fangled contraption to listen to Sox games. Please tell me it's the right thing to do if you want to hear all games during the season. I bought it last year and liked it alot. I got the portable one that you can use in your home, car, or on its own with a rechargable battery. I didn't even have to miss anything when I walked my dog. One cool thing about it is that it actually transmits a signal that you tune in on your radio. Last summer a group of us took a little road trip in 2 cars and the car following us was able to tune in the XM also. I didn't really use it that much after the baseball season ended, but you can subscribe monthly, so you don't have to pay for service if you're not using it.
  2. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 08:37 PM) MLB.com has all of the regular season games radio broadcasts for much less, maybe free, I can't remember. I definitely wouldn't recommend getting XM just for that. Unless you wanted to leave your house or something.
  3. I heard they offered Abreu for Tejada a little while ago.
  4. Anyone know what the line on this game was?
  5. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jan 3, 2006 -> 10:33 PM) http://media.putfile.com/VT-THUG-1 Thank you Gene.
  6. Does anybody know if there is a clip of young Vick stomping on that dude?
  7. Tony Graffanino made a real nice play in the ALDS.
  8. QUOTE(gar102 @ Dec 30, 2005 -> 10:53 AM) If they start off winning the figure will easily get to 2.75 million and KC will be a sellout. Do you mean the games in KC? Cause they were nowhere near sold out this past season.
  9. Maybe St. Louis? I know they just picked up Spivey, but is he any better than Willie?
  10. Right now, I guess McCarthy would be considered a part of the bullpen, but hopefully we get another RP for Garland.
  11. QUOTE(The Critic @ Dec 19, 2005 -> 09:12 PM) I wasn't going to reply, but since you asked.... I didn't like them. The "garbage as drums" thing was fairly interesting, although Metallica seemed to use trash cans as drums on their last CD. They seem to be capable musicians, but they didn't leave me wanting more. The idea of covering crap songs to be ironic/funny/"bad on purpose" has grown tiresome to me as well. If you have time, check this out. This girl is making a rockumentary blog about their US tour, click on "see the films". They are listed most recent first, the first clips were posted on Nov. 1. The Crushing Blow
  12. Nobody liked this? Or did anybody even watch it? I can pretty much guarantee you have never seen a band like this before.

    Here is a video of Hurra Torpedo, a band from Norway who has instantly become my new favorite. Hurra Torpedo
  14. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 01:29 AM) Ya, with the Yanks (or did he not pitch when the Yanks were in the playoffs?) 11.1 IP in 2004.
  15. QUOTE(knightni @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 01:19 AM) Hilarious.
  16. QUOTE(hi8is @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 12:51 AM) just read its a done deal, i couldnt stop myself from getting up and running around the room with my TOOL blaring. we might miss young... thanks duque, contreras will be fine..... and vazquez, you'll love it here on the southside... your gonna be just fine big guy! but he's a fly ball pitcher and wont pitch well for us... and jeremy reed is going to be sooooooo good in CF for seattle, he will win rookie of the year....and garcia will suck, he is a fly ball picther! Where did you read that?
  17. It is a difficult question to answer, not knowing whether cash or other players are involved.
  18. Sounds ridiculously hilarious. Does Damon carry a home plate around with him everywhere he goes? Anybody got a clip?
  19. QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 08:14 PM) I could give you the password though...if no one has a problem with that... Thanks, but I can't really shell out that much scratch for them right now. My buddy got 2 seats from Busch stadium, as well as a seat back signed by all the living Cardinal Hall of Famers.
  20. Can non-season ticket holders get them?
  21. Leonard Zelig replied to bogie's topic in Pale Hose Talk
    Why?
  22. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 01:29 AM) Ken Rosenthal's winter meetings rumors: http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/5141070 Is non-tendering Crede really a possibility? Unless his health is worse than we know, I would not like that move.
  23. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 4, 2005 -> 10:03 PM) Do you know what I love? The fact that the Cubs just got John Mabry while we are going after former Batting Champ Bill Mueller to be our Utility Infielder. Did they get Mabry? A buddy of mine told me that, but it's not on their website.
  24. Why would the Sox be pissed about that information coming out? If they want to resign him, wouldn't that only help their chances?
