Can someone explain to me...
QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 17, 2006 -> 05:02 PM) BMac has been in the pen all year, his arm is not stretched out, they had to keep him to a low pitch count in order to avoid any possible arm irritation. The last thing the Sox need is for thier 6th starter/best bullpen arm to go down. 83 pitches is actually more than most suspected he'd pitch. Them why did he start the 5th inning?

Triple Play
Wasn't Buehrle telling him to go to first?

Rex Hudler
Well, last night, Hudler did break the story that Chicago is not called the Windy City because of weather, but rather because of the politicians in the 1940s-60's.

Sox vs Angels Game Thread
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 10, 2006 -> 01:59 PM) It'd also be the most single game strikeouts from a person from Livonia, MI, or a Person who's middle name is Wallis. What's your point? My point is that when Haeger throws a perfect game with 27 Ks it will be a rookie record.

Sox vs Angels Game Thread
QUOTE(beautox @ May 10, 2006 -> 12:08 PM) My Guess for tonight 9IP / 0BB / 27K / 0 ER. A perfect game. That would be the most single game strikeouts for a rookie.

Ozzie and the ASG
QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ May 2, 2006 -> 02:17 AM) When all is said and done, Ozzie gets to pick 7 players I think, 4 pitchers and 3 position players, or the other way around, depending on the final man ballot. Wouldn't he choose all of the pitchers?
-
Ozzie and the ASG
Ozzie first has to see who the fans vote for. Then choose at least one player from every other team. I doubt any Sox players get voted in, so his choices could be somewhat limited. The Sox haven't had a position player start since Frank in 1997.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 08:36 AM) Well, Carl had the last laugh last night. His single was the eventual winning run. Umm, it's April, I don't believe the last laugh has been laughed yet.

Cotts, Politte Draw Concern
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 06:24 PM) One of the problems could be(might not even be a problem) is that our starters are going to go far in ALOT of these games, and Oz is going to be hard pressed to find spots for these guys. I think rust has alot to do with Cotts and Cliff struggling. I also think we are putting Boone in a bad place. Logan is a young kid that needs to see batters. He isnt getting that here, and when he is, its 7 or 8 days at a time. Get another SOLID arm this pen, and send Boone down, maybe even Thornton... Wouldn't Thornton have to clear waviers? Do you think he would?

Baseball Myths Busted...
QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 10:51 PM) I have a book called "The Physics of Baseball". It's very scientific, but part of the book is dedicated to the "rising fastball". It's VERY interesting. To expand on what the above article says, basically the when a ball rotates faster it doesnt drop as much as a ball that rotates less. So, that rotation causes it flatten out and seem like it "jumped" because your brain is preprogrammed to how it SHOULD be dropping. Who wrote it?

Greg Maddux
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 10:29 PM) What'd he say? I think he said "Who's Mark Buehrle?" or something like that. The answer of course is the #1 starter on the defending World Series champs.
