  1. QUOTE(BamaDoc @ Jun 25, 2006 -> 07:05 AM) Sorry I don't know how to link, but it is on the official site. Bauman writes a good article about how the Sox are now coming together and hitting on all cylinders. I am bewildered that Ozzie's dugout tirade in which Ozzie stated he called out the team (not just Tracey) for not standing up for each other is not listed as a contributing factor. Possibly due to the recent controversies, it is not politically correct to praise or defend Ozzie if you are in the media. My take is that Ozzie's tirade had the exact effect on his team that he wanted. Article
  2. QUOTE(Sox Machine @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 07:23 AM) Maybe he's just waiting until the offseason so they can televise it. That could possibly be the best reality show ever.
  3. QUOTE(steve @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 12:20 AM) Arnie Spanier on Sporting News Radio Last September, Arnie Spanier was seriously pulling for the Sox to choke. I mean he talked about it every day and was loving the Cleveland comeback. He's an out of town guy relocated to Chicago who roots against the local teams for attention. I wanted so badly to call in after we clinched last year, but I never did.
  4. Yeah, cause Mulder had been pitching so well until that game.
  5. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 17, 2006 -> 01:12 AM) Thome and Vazquez were as well as Junior except that was nixed at the last second by Cincy. Who were we going to have to give up for him?
  6. The totals are for the channel which that particular game is being broadcast.
  7. QUOTE(bmags @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 03:16 PM) are the guys in elbow a bunch of pricks? They came into the store where I was working. The lead singer was looking for a wah pedal. We didn't have the one he wanted, but they were friendly enough.
  8. Does anybody think that maybe the pitching coach's son was not the best guy in the line up to retaliate against, or is this over?
  9. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 06:24 AM) I predict one of these will make an appearance: or

  11. I'm watching the Texas station and they just showed Tracey in the dugout. He was obviously very upset with something. They also showed Ozzie's reaction after he got Blalock out and he was pissed.
  12. Crazy college kids Just in time for the World Cup
  13. I have been offered Randy Johnson & Jermaine Dye for Ichiro & Jimmy Rollins. Normal 5x5 head to head league.I have Vizquel to stick in there at SS. I am last in the league in HR and tied for last in RBI. 3rd place in SB & OBP, middle of the pack in runs. I an first in WHIP and second in ERA, though middle of the pack in Wins & Ks. Rollins is just now starting to heat up, but of course I'd love to have Jermaine on my team. What do you think?
  14. Didn't Jim Bouton write about this about 35 years ago? This isn't exactly news.
  15. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 09:53 AM) Perhaps. Nobody likes to be taunted and, personally, I point to the Kansas City games early on in our season when we were, what, 1-4, and the KC fans began chanting "Overrated" at our players (we beat them the next day) and then started our hot April. I was at that game and I didn't hear any "overrated" chants.
  16. Did anyone see the error Scott Rolen made the other night? That guy's almost as bad as Crede.
  17. QUOTE(Big Hurtin @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 07:03 PM) Anyone else watching on Directv. 742 in the guide says Tigers at White Sox, but there's poker on. Where's the game? Yes, and it's pissing me off.
  18. I can't remember, who was the genius who started GeoffBlumTalk last year?
  19. They can't trade him now. Maybe in 2 months, but not in the position they are in now.
  20. QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 09:48 AM) Brace yourselves! That's Hurrah Torpedo. I posted this clip awhile back and nobody seemed to appreciate it. However, if you liked this, you gotta check this site out: Hurrah Torpedo They are touring the US this summer.
  21. PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Former major league umpire Eric Gregg, known for his big personality, extra-wide strike zone and oversized frame, died Monday night, a day after he was hospitalized with a stroke. He was 55. Link
  22. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 5, 2006 -> 06:26 PM) I think I might pay attention for a month or so and see if Hawk is really winning these competitions or if they are just throwing up random scores. Because I cannot recall a time when he was ever losing, he is always in the lead. Every year. Seems like they have different totals for the games on CSN & WGN, either that or they're just screwing with us.
