  1. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 09:57 AM) No s***, when Scotty walks, you might as well call it a double. I guess doubles are insignificant too....idiots. maybe a triple, there was a good article about three weeks ago in the tribune about how spod steals bases, if i can find it ill post ilt
  2. should be a good matchup too bad bradley is on the DL
  3. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 09:48 AM) Kevin Millar was in my backyard this morning playing on a swingset!!! It whas wicked awwsome i found that funny for some reason go sox
  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 12:31 PM) This is part of the problem around here lately. If you don't like the thread, there is no reason at all to post in it. None. If everyone else feels it is a bad thread, it will drop off of the front page quickly. If you don't like the topic, there is no need to post that, as it only takes away from people who might want to discuss something. what can i say i just like arguing my point
  5. QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 12:30 PM) Chi-Guy- You can think what you want... The only thing I care about is making the playoffs and kicking some team asses when we finally get there.. doesnt everybody
  6. QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 12:22 PM) Balta- I totally agree with you nobody on the Sox should think about the wildcard .. I believe we will the divison by 7 games.. Im just looking if somehow the Twins do overtake us we will have a playoff spot and thats the main thing because I think with our rotation and if KW makes this team better we will go to the World Series to play St.Louis IMO who cares what lead we will have, nobody wants to see crap like this posted or a thread made about it,
  7. lets not look at it this way, were in first so stop this twins overtaking the sox nonsense
  8. this is ridiculous, theres nowhere to put mike cameron, we have spod how does just as much as him, and we own the best record in baseball, need i explain more
  9. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:23 PM) I agree that it would suck to downgrade our defense at 3rd base. The best and cheapest likely solution is probably this one... http://www.usatoday.com/sports/bbw/columni...08-majors_x.htm Randa is just about as good defensively as Crede at 3rd base and his bat is light-years ahead. randa is also more experienced, and id imagine hed hitter better in the cell also
  10. perhaps we should change the thread title to edgar alfonzo to the white sox
  11. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 01:51 PM) Tell that to chi-guy2.
  12. QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 01:50 PM) Alfonzo is expendable for SF. He is getting older and SF knows that they need youth and speed to make a run in the future. The Giants are done this year, why not take a flyer on Ed Al and see what Sabean would want? makes more sense than feliz
  13. the problem with players these days, you horass them if they are doing bad and then once they have a good game nobody wants them to leave, for example jermaine dye, maybe coors field woke our bats up and we might not need to trade crede
  14. QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 01:41 PM) No one else thinks that Alfonzo is worth a look-see? 3.5 mill + Alfonzo for Willie and a low SP minor leaguer might do it. and throw in timo :rolly Edit: when is the trade deadline
  15. QUOTE(nvxplorer @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 01:38 PM) http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/cst-spt-doug09.html KW is wary of making a trade. I just don't see Kenny trading for Pedro Feliz. It doesn't make one bit of sense. Reading KW's statements, it appears he would make a deal only if it was one he couldn't refuse. Pedro Feliz? Sorry, that's laughable. I'm wondering whether the thread at WSI is in fact a rumor, or just something started by a Crede/Konerko hater. that just took away the smile on my face, but i agree, we wont get him but we have players that offer what they would need, it seems like every year we make a trade are team ends up doing worse in the second half, or at least we fall farther behind in the playoff race
  16. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 01:31 PM) Bullpen help, I would assume. They have found out that LaChoke Hawkins doesn't have it anymore. alright, so shingo takatsu could be a fit, or perhaps they would want kevin walker back
  17. First of all: Who would we trade for him? Where would he play?
  18. QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 01:17 PM) Feliz is 31 years old.. they still wont trade him
  19. the giants are going to rebuild their team in a couple years or so, but they wouldnt trade feliz a young player who would be someone good to build a team around
  20. giants would want mccarthy at the least, their pitching is utterly horrible
  21. too much time and effort put into the thought of us getting arod, yanks still have the rest of the season
  22. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 12:23 PM) On a similar topic (although not exactly Shingo)...last night during the game, the Rockies' announcers (MLB Extra innings) were talking about how Vizcaino has been very good against left-handed hitters. I believe they said that lefties were hitting under .200 against Viz, and his tailing fastball might have something to do with it. Well, i checked this morning, and lefties are hitting nearly .400 against Viz. Did anyone else hear them say this? Am I looking at the wrong stat? (btw, righties are only hitting .218 against him, which isn't bad if he can avoid the walks) so we should use shingo against lefties and viz against righties
  23. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 12:19 PM) I was very surprised to see last night that leftys are only hitting .269 against him. I always thought that lefties gave him the most trouble. Anyways I thought it was a good outing for him and he seemed to be throwing a lot of 1st pitch strikes or he was just missing. it was a good outing, id like to see him get used a little more in san diego, because it is a pitchers park
  24. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 11:57 AM) A bit of topic here, but does anyone else feel A-Rod lost a bit of his luster when he went to the Yanks? if anything id say it helped him, a lot of legends played for the yankees and if he puts up numbers that are respectable he himself would get praise, plus who wouldnt want to be in the hall of fame they have in the outfield
  25. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 12:16 PM) are you implying that you are a baseball god??? You are spot on in your explanation. If there hadnt been a double, the runs would not have been earned. The scorer at the game was bad in my opinion when they gave the rockies a stolen base in the 9th however. there was a lot of ridiculous calls in the series, they still need to straighten out that yellow line rule for home runs
