  1. I love Purdue's layout, I don't think much of Xavier if both teams win their first rd matchups and I'd love to see Duke vs Purdue. I know I'm jumping ahead but two similar style teams that could be fun. Baylor over Purdue won't happen, at least it better not.
  2. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 16, 2008 -> 02:45 PM) Pretty much completely agree though I think Tenn winning it all is more of a stretch than GTown. Honestly, if I were forced to pick a team to win it all that you didn't mention, it'd be USC and that's obviously quite a stretch. I actually like Louisville too, they have a better shot than Georgetown in my opinion. They usually do well in the tourney.
  3. QUOTE(Brian @ Mar 16, 2008 -> 02:47 PM) If the game stays at this pace, Illinois will win. It will stay at this pace, from what I've seen in past games Wisconsin likes to set things up generally.
  4. So to answer everyones question about who was the last team to make the tourney with a sub .500 record...... Coppin St. Thats for this year but still counts.
  5. Lets hope Ark and Wisc win tomorrow. I know a rule is a rule but when you play awful all year in your conference have a below .500 record even if you win your conference tourney I don't think I could stomach seeing a team with these credentials in the dance.
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 15, 2008 -> 02:44 PM) and I'll leave it at that. As for back on topic, I'm sure some will whine about the refs in this one, especially if the Badgers win, but they do this all the time. I'm not sure how you can coach a team to not foul and to on the other end draw fouls, but it seems like Wisconsin is able to do it. I really hope Michigan St. wins this game, my guess is Hughes most likely won't play tomorrows game due to his ankle sprain in this game and hes one of Wisconsins better players. If Badgers win Minny and Illini would have a solid shot, both these teams just seem to be catching some breaks.
  7. Have a real good game brewing between Wisconsin and Mich St. Spartans are really hurting with all their fouls though, three of their big players fouled out.
  8. Surprised nobody has set up a tourney group yet so I went ahead and created one. Heres the info: ID: 66163 PW: soxtalk http://tournament.fantasysports.yahoo.com/...oinprivategroup Default scoring. Join up
  9. Wow, I switched it off a bit early. Props to Minnesota hopefully they beat Illini tomorrow.
  10. Thats the worst I've ever seen Indiana play, I don't think they hit one three pointer. Also probably the worst I've seen Gordon play.
  11. QUOTE(farmteam @ Mar 14, 2008 -> 08:43 PM) Even if IU beats Minnesota (It's a toughie), I might give Illinois the edge in the semi, it would at least be 50-50. We've been playing awful recently, and we need to win the BTT to have some good momentum. Illini need to win the tourney to have any momentum. So any early line on the odds Brian Randle fouls out tomorrow?
  12. That had to be the worst coached game I have ever f***ing watched. Ok maybe I'm exaggerating a bit. Honestly, 25 f***ing seconds left in the second half, Purdue is up 3, do they foul? No, of course not lets let Mccamey shoot the f***ing 3. Genius, nice job Purdue, really I would love to know why they didn't foul and give them at the most 2 points putting Purdue up one with maybe 20 seconds left. Pisses me off. For the love of god I hope Indiana wins tonight and kills Illini tomorrow, you all just don't understand how much I despise Illinois.
  13. Um Purdue, why is Garret Mocas in the game, he hasn't played more than a minute all year and all of a sudden hes playing in a pretty big game. Wow Purdue, awful game to watch, why would you not foul them and put them on the line up 3 at closing seconds of second half.
  14. Huge game for Ohio St today, they have been pretty hot lately so I would not be shocked to see the upset.
  15. Sox commercial I dont remember ever seeing air:

    School Reunions

QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 13, 2008 -> 07:31 PM) My tenth reunion was scheduled on Sept 15, 2001. Yeah, they canceled it. Haven't really bothered since. Maybe on my 25th, but I couldn't give a damn about 90% of the jackasses that I graduated with. Stole the words right out of my mouth. The people I know I keep in touch with and it will stay that way.
  17. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 13, 2008 -> 04:22 PM) New to college basketball, eh? More like far from new I never have paid attention to this bid stuff really till this year, usually just wait to see who gets in on selection sunday. Something just told me theres been teams that won conference who didnt get bid, just gut feeling I was wrong big f***ing deal.
  18. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 13, 2008 -> 04:17 PM) The only league that doesn't determine their automatic bid based on who wins their league tournament is the Ivy League, because they are the only one that doesn't have a tournament. I thought everybody knew that though. I guess I just can't recall the last time a team making the tourney who had a record below .500. Yes I do know the ivy league has no tourney, their season was over last week or something.
  19. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 13, 2008 -> 04:14 PM) Why is it ridiculous? It is the same for every conference in the country (except for the Ivy league who doesn't have a tourney). If you find a way to win 4 games in 4 days and win your conference tourney you deserve to go to the dance. That didnt really answer my question. Your right so if Northwestern the epitome of bad wins the Big Ten its justified they deserve a bid. This is a rule they gotta get rid of, no team who only won one conference game deserves any reason why they should deserve a bid even if by winning they get an autobid into tourney. I'm really gonna pull for NW to win their game today and win out just to show how much of a joke it would be.
  20. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 13, 2008 -> 04:10 PM) You couldn't be more wrong. Illinois pulls off their .1% chance of winning the BTT and they get an automatic bid to the tourney. You sure, that seems pretty ridiculous. Then heck Northwestern could win out and get a bid which would be bs. Edit: Nvm, thats a pretty stupid rule. Hope Purdue kills Illini tomorrow.
  21. QUOTE(Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 13, 2008 -> 03:06 PM) That's why I've got Illinois winning the whole thing and extending their NCAA streak to 9 years (or 10, can't remember). I really hope your kidding. Even if Illinois wins the Big Ten they still couldn't make it to the dance. Pretty sure on that.
  22. QUOTE(Brian @ Mar 12, 2008 -> 05:59 PM) Pop goes Syracuse's bubble. Thank god, hate Syracuse

    Films Thread

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Mar 11, 2008 -> 07:47 PM) I actually saw Apocalypto for the first time a few days ago. It was good, but can someone explain to me what was so incredibly great about it? A guy I knew back in school said it was the best movie he'd ever seen. Personally, for me, at the time I saw it I was in a history class and we discussed the Mayans, Incas and Aztecs so I found it interesting and from what we discussed the movie was pretty dead on compared to those ancient tribes' cultures. Overall after the slow beginning the movie had lots of action and I guess found it to be interesting and different compared to other movies.

I know some of you said it looked awful but I did see 10000 BC. It surely didn't wow me like Apocalypto did but i thought it was alright. Highlight of that movie was Camilla Belle, um wow....thats all I have to say. I don't know if it was the theater I was at but the picture was kinda fuzzy in parts.
  25. Another option is you could lock adds and drops when playoffs start and if someone wants to make a change it would only be if they have no DL spots left and need to make an add also if they need to take someone off DL.
