  4. I feel pretty good about this series, even if we lose we have a trophy they dont.
  5. QUOTE(rudylaw @ May 17, 2006 -> 10:10 PM) I would love it to see the jack asses in D-Town go down. Bron for Pres. I would like to see an NBA champ game of Cleveland vs Phoenix, would be more of an up tempo game and more exciting.
  6. I like it, I tend to like the solid background with the player pic in the middle like Dep has been coming up with lately, i like a more open backgroundl.
  7. Good game, took some time for our bats to heat up like they always do in Tampa but a win is a win.
  8. To set things straight, as pointed above the past between Springer and Bonds hasnt been to good as Nokona noted, Springer obviously has no liking for Bonds, you all saw the clip on espn he was definitely aiming for Bonds and will get fined for it because he hit him. The fans standing up and giving an ovation is just their own opinion, there are those that respect him and those that dont. Hitting a player shouldnt be tolerated but yes it is apart of the game. Lots of people hate Bonds, just the other day someone was telling me how Bonds agent Anderson is in prison and Bonds told him to give the drug to other players (Sheff and so on). Yet when I ask him if Bonds broke the record would he be mad he said no, everyone wants to see it happen, unfortunately for some it is inevitable and others it is a gift to see such a feat, drugs or no drugs as you can see right now Bonds doesnt always hit home runs. Personally its a shame to see all this hatred towards him, hes a good player and a statue will be built for him as the owner of the giants had noted in the TV show Bonds on Bonds for those who dont watch it.
  9. QUOTE(whitem0nkey @ May 16, 2006 -> 02:04 PM) Is there a place I can go to see today’s lineup for all the teams. I just get real frustrated when I start a player cause i see his team is playing that day, but its his day off and I could have slotted some one else. I usually just check mlb gameday, they have lineups posted about an hour before each game starts.
  10. QUOTE(SoxAce @ May 14, 2006 -> 11:12 PM) I know it's your opinion, so I'm just gonna say I agree with basically everyone listed except this kid. Barely his first FULL year in the bigs and he's on a list with alot of quality pitchers who have been in the league for years? I don't agree with Blanton and Duke eigher, even though Blanton is worse right now. I'll take Duke and King Felix's era over say the others right now. Sheets, Burnett have got to be on there. And like another poster said, Oliver Perez has so much friggin potential and GREAT stuff, yet he can't even get a good era in the bigs (1 good year.) Man you talk about a waste of talent. Yep Oliver just needs a scenery change like that of Jose Contreras, maybe move to the AL which in my opinion wouldnt help (look at Randy) but some players just need to find a new home, being on the pirates isnt very motivating, they are horrible and no player would enjoy pitching for them.
  11. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ May 13, 2006 -> 05:49 PM) IMO, of course. List yours too. 1. Brad Radke (7.75 ERA, 1.70 WHIP, .360 BAA) 2. Jon Garland (6.75 ERA, 1.59 WHIP, .333 BAA) 3. Andy Pettite (5.66 ERA, 1.64 WHIP, .318 BAA) 4. Dontrelle Willis (6.22 ERA, 1.58 WHIP, .305 BAA) 5. Joe Blanton (6.38 ERA, 1.61 WHIP, .310 BAA) 6. Livan Hernandez (6.52 ERA, 1.65 WHIP, .307 BAA) 7. Kevin Millwood (5.13 ERA, 1.46 WHIP. .304 BAA) 8. Matt Morris (6.20 ERA, 1.51 WHIP, .284 BAA) 9. Felix Hernandez (4.58 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, .277 BAA) 10. Dan Haren ((5.03 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, .270 BAA) 10. Zach Duke (4.02 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, .268 BAA) I have a 10th place tie between Dan Haren and Zach Duke. I expected a healthy Matt Morris to pitch well in SF based on his first half numbers from last year, but it's not working out thus far. Brad Radke is only 33 years old. It's not like he's over-the-hill. He has to turn it around at some point, but his numbers are atrocious right now. That's actually an understatement. Most of these guys play in great pitching conditions (Willis, Blanton, L. Hernandez, Morris, F. Hernandez, Haren, Duke, etc), so their numbers are all the more disturbing. If your BAA is up over .300, you're just killing your team. Garland is at .333 right now. Livan should improve hes doin better his last couple games but thus far makes the list. Willis is on a poor team with no run support I didnt expect much, smart fantasy owners like me were smart enough to not draft him. I dont know if i consider felix eligible but he has some hype around him. Ill throw some names in there, i agree with all of yours: 11. AJ Burnett (6.30 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, .279 BAA) Yes hes only started two games but thus far more was expected of him. 12. Ben Sheets (6.64 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, .325 BAA) Same case as Burnett. 13. Oliver Perez (7.71 ERA, 2.11 WHIP, .321 BAA) Alot of people expected more out of him this year, but it only got worse for him.
  12. QUOTE(LoFiStew @ May 14, 2006 -> 09:07 PM) OK, when was the last White Sox triple play? That was so cool. Let's not waste it by losing the game. 2 yrs ago on a liner to credey

  19. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 12, 2006 -> 02:39 PM) Garland is pitching stupid Yahoo
  20. Garland Record: 2-1 ERA: 6.05 3.99 ERA vs Twinkies Santana Record: 3-3 ERA: 3.69 3.46 ERA vs White Sox Should be a good pitching matchup big jon has faired well against the twinks.
  21. Haha the rumor was true, well Ill miss his start, stupid work, but hopefully we can score runs to keep him in the game.
