  1. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 20, 2006 -> 12:09 AM) Evidently you didn't start enough new accounts, sending us PM's, to get in. Well I guess for rookie of the year you have to be smart, evidently im not lol Guess this means there will be a chwrock3
  2. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jan 19, 2006 -> 11:55 PM) If Ben makes this team he better be willing to SWING the bat when he comes off the bench. I noticed some Cub fans still remember when he came up to bat in the 9th with two outs and struck out without removing the bat off his shoulder. He also pissed off Lou in TB making a comment along the lines of "It doesn't really matter" when striking out looking in the 9th. Is it just me or is he like another Ross Gload, they strike me as similar players, frankly instead of Grieve Id like to give some of the younger guys a shot at pinch hitting. I dont necessarily think we needed him, not like hes done anything impressive as a pinch hitter for the Cubs that comes to mind.
  3. QUOTE(AirScott @ Jan 19, 2006 -> 02:31 AM) I'd also like to see Matt Millen draft Santonio Holmes or some other wide receiver in the first round, just out of spite. the people of Detroit would tear that city apart. He would be canned in a second, but just imagine them getting Vince Young, I bet he could work wonders with those young receivers not that it would happen anyhow, I wouldnt be too surprised by a wr selection figuring theirs tend to get injured but I bet they change it up and go with a defender.
  4. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Jan 19, 2006 -> 11:05 PM) Actually, if you ask me, a player like LenDale White is even more rare than Reggie Bush (watch Ryan Moats last year). The kid wieghs 235+ and moves like he wieghs 215. He doesnt have that change of direction or big play ability like Bush, but he'll basically take a drive and put it on his shoulders. I dont think you can really judge between Reggie Bush and Lendale White who is going to be the better player until you see what team drafts each player. Right now I would give the edge to Reggie Bush, remember last year everyone was wondering the same thought between Ronnie Brown and Cadillac, speedster vs power, who excels more, I cant quite remember who everyone liked but this is similar and cadillac did a really nice job in TB. Ronnie Brown did alright he didnt exactly go to the greatest team and his QB didnt exactly help. Bush just seems like a more versatile player, he can take kick returns, running back, and can catch the ball out of the backfield, sort of like a prototype of Brian Westbrook, I like lendale but I feel hed be better off waiting a year, just to show people what he can do when hes not backing up Reggie, but he does have the power with some speed.
  5. My roommate actually just bought the game and I was watching it a bit, it looks alright, I dont know if all the stadiums are detailed by their surroundings which I doubt but its an NCAA game it cant be perfect, Ill test it out sooner or later, other than that it seems like a good game from what i watched.
  6. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 19, 2006 -> 05:32 PM) http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2298240 AD got 5 games. I don't agree with it. At least the punishment was minimal. That isnt too bad, its hard to judge how much time a player should get off, theres one thing to throw a fight and turn the game into a wrestling match but when a man sees someone makin a move towards his wife I think most people would be a bit upset, Davis overall is a good player on and off the court this was just one incident. Im sure he knew that right when he went into the stands he was getting a suspension. In my opinion you cant predict how anyone would react after the whole Artest incident the next time a player decides to "take a visit" into the audience, and therefore the NBA gave him a 5 game suspension which is understandable.
  7. Good for Willie, I always thought that he has huge potential but just didnt get the chance to show it, hope he does good over in boston.

  11. Anyone hear of the whole Antonio Davis incident.
  12. Really nice article, hope everything goes well for him in the offseason and he trains well so he doesnt get injured.
  13. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 09:57 PM) Pitt starting to seperate themselves a bit from rutgers, pretty impressive. That team can play. Um no, Pitt has to be the most inconsistent team, everyone ranks them high but they are usually one and done in the final four, i fail to see the good in them
  14. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 04:11 PM) I use limewire. limewire pro found a free version
  15. I tend to think that omar jacobs would be a nice sleeper pick hes a damn good qb just not out of a big school, could be a nice future qb
  16. Just reading some other posts the Indians did imrprove a little, who is to say that Paul Byrd and Millwood are about the same pitchers, they arent very different, and Jason Johnson is truly more of a starting pitcher than Elarton, really other than that the only places I saw them improve at were first base with the whole Perez deal but they added some depth with hollandsworth and possibly Graves if he forgets about his 2005 season, but still we didnt have any dramatic losses that hurt us and we gained Thome and Vaszquez, and also a utility man in Mackowiak. If anyone improved the most Id have to say it was the twins in our division out of all the teams with exceptions of the White Sox. The twins let me remind you did add luis castillo who helps them on the basepaths and is a good leadoff man, and even with the loss of jacque jones signed rondell white, however I just see him as a DH option based on how well lew ford has done in the outfield. Batista is a question mark and you cant really judge this move yet till the first week of the season. During spring training I think we should get a better idea about the teams in our division and really see who improved and upraded.
  17. so um where do I vote, havent seen a thread or anything?
  18. This guy is an idiot, the packers have Gbaja kampan jackson and jenkins for their D line, they have no need for another DT, because they have donnell washington and kenny peterson in the waiting. Their best option is either Dbrickshaw or aj.
  19. Green Bay Packers Picks: Rd-Overall Player Pos School ---------- ------ --- ------ 1-24 Aaron Rodgers QB California 2-51 Nick Collins CB Bethune Cookman 2-58 Terrence Murphy WR Texas A&M 4-115 Marviel Underwood S San Diego State 4-125 Brady Poppinga DE Brigham Young 5-143 Junius Coston C North Carolina A&T 5-167 Michael Hawkins CB Oklahoma 6-180 Mike Montgomery DE Texas A&M 6-195 Craig Bragg WR UCLA 7-245 Kurt Campbell CB Albany 7-246 Will Whitticker G Michigan State Seeing how Favre did this year Rodgers was an alright pick even though they really needed defense so ill give a C-. Nick Collins got some playing time and probably was their best pick because he played the most so I give a B-. Terrance Murphy didnt really see action so F and he wasnt needed. Underwood made an occasional appearance at safety so a D. Whitticker was on the starting o line and if continues to improve will be an anchor for their line, and probably their best pick so I give a B. Future: I hope they take AJ Hawk, if he plays up to his abilities him Barnett and Diggs could really help their run stopping defense and they also would have some good depth with Rob Thomas and Navies as backups. As for other positions I think their best option is to sign a safety and cornerback out of FA because recent players drafted for those positions have failed to play well. But also draft some offensive linemen.
  20. Great news, I think our team is about set now.
