  1. Stewart did a nice job as the host and i thought it was funny how they said three 6 mafias real and nicknames when they announced them.
  2. This was no surprise lots of people I knew kept saying hed sign with someone else or just for a year, i told them hed sign for four or more years.
  3. well looking at our team we could use a bullpen arm and outfielder: The following id love on this team: Duaner Sancehez-young with potential Bobby Abreu-all around player Carl Crawford-just imagine crawford pods at the top mike gonzalez-young pitcher Carlos Lee-no reason I just really liked carlos
  4. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 5, 2006 -> 09:09 PM) I really dont think I do. Peavy-Stud Webb-Solid #2 Doug Davis-200+ K's, solid ERA Livan-15 game winner, but I will probably trade him if a Peavy deal goes threw Vazquez-I think he is going to break out this season Liriano-If he starts for the Twins, going to put up VERY good numbers. Pitching is so overrated in fantasy, and I think I have a good core. However, I rejected the current deal. I dont like the Chavez for Blalock part. My view on pitching is completely different, i rarely take young players like liriano and dont trust them, and if a player has a bad year i probably wouldnt take him next season. I can see what your aiming for a guy to help you in each category.
  5. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Mar 6, 2006 -> 01:04 PM) This team just got more interesting. I was able to pick up Pods off waivers, giving me a ton of speed. I'm in the process of trying to deal Ichiro, Pods, or maybe Rollins for some more power. Do you guys think I should try to get a pitcher? I'm not entirely sure about my rotation, but I think my lineup probably needs more help. your team could use some power, many people tend to think lee wont post last years numbers and theres no telling what thome will do this year, a power hitter might help more , i kind of like your staff personally
  6. wood and prior are pathetic the only stats they are putting up are in the emergency room
  7. Whatever works, give him a shot, anything can happen, we truly need a lefty and at this pace if he keeps up what he did to thome and mack then he has a good shot. Both of them.
  8. QUOTE(Felix @ Mar 5, 2006 -> 09:03 PM) What's unbeliavable? And if last year showed us anything, its pitching wins championships. There's a reason both Chicago and Houston were in the World Series. Good point Yankees will go to the playoffs no doubt and knowing steinbrenner if they have pitching problems hes willin to make a trade. You cant call them out now.
  9. Thats a tough decision Tony: If thats Luis Castillo on your bench you wouldnt need Loretta because Luis should post good numbers with the twins and steal alot, perhaps you could see if he would offer another pitcher in place of Loretta, because your staff would still need a pitcher even if you do get Peavy. Dunn and Chavez are good players and Blalock just cant make up for that power loss
  10. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Mar 5, 2006 -> 08:01 PM) Starters: Randy Johnson, Mike Mussina, Chacon, Pavano, and Wang. Bullpen: Rivera, Farnsworth, Wright, Myers, Villone, Small, Sturtze. I certainly think they have a good chance to get to the World Series this year. They do have a good staff and pen, but problem is they are injury prone, chacon isnt a great pitcher, pavano is injury prone, wang is still young and not ready, their bullpen however looks really good.
  11. Actually about the mets they have a really good team, I think they have one of the best chances besides the cards to go to the world series. Mets made alot of good additions: Delgado Lo Duca Nady (risky but if he has a hot start like last year he could be a good player) Wagner Julio duaner sanchez Their starting pitching is a little weak but im sure if they are in contention a trade will be made.
  12. Bout damn time they get rid of him he just hasnt produced at all for them.
  13. QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Mar 3, 2006 -> 10:41 PM) Ah i see. - the one thing that is behind my philopshy is Hitting is a key. Get that. Then pitching, prime closers are good, Duno if mine on this team are really "studs" but anyway Starting pitchign is easy to makeup for, at any point in the season really, so its not as much of a need. Thanks for the team review, appreciate it, and i may do a trade of some sort like that. interesting I always try to draft a balance team but then my team just ends up being really horrible, never can ge the right combination. Id rather have pitching than hitting, theres always a hitter in free agency that busts out and I will go grab him to fill a gap in my hitting. Its always hard to find a pitcher in free agency usually they will start off hot and just fall down the line as the season goes on.
  14. guess all of our pitchers have to give up runs
  15. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Mar 4, 2006 -> 04:53 PM) casey rogowksi is going to be a major leaguer some day. i just want him to be on the sox so he can charge the mound and fight kyle farnsworth. dont know bout that part but hes gonna be something
  16. nice pick by the dbacks shortstop that took a high bounce
  17. this is an improved outing for redding since the other day
  18. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 4, 2006 -> 03:17 PM) I love how they have the trophy behind the "Sox" in the little stat bar at the bottom for the hitters. yeah that is pretty sweet
