Is WAllen Wyatt Allen? I hope not. I think I have started an epidemic and the whole damn minor league system is gonna start posting here.
-
I am about 95 % sure that the new guy on here is McCarthy and I think Tracey is on here as well. They are living together this offseason, and the posts sound an awful a lot like those two retards. Sorry guys if I blew your cover and if its not you then whoever it is does a good job of acting like those two. PS Way to name drop your own names on here. Thats kinda lame. Anyway Im sure Ill see you Thursday at the workout if it is you two! :dips***

Well I was 8 of 10 on the prospect list. Not bad for a rookie! I only missed Munoz and that Japanese dude we signed. I didnt realize a 35 year old could crack a top 30 list, let alone a top 10 list. Oh well Baseball America is s*** anyway.
-
You're damn right he slept in the clubhouse with Meaux during the playoffs. He slept on my couch for a night and decided the clubhouse would be more comfortable, go figure!
-
Hell I was the worst high school pitcher of all time and the greatest hitter
-
JimH, I am probably gonna be back in Bham to start this season b/c of all the older dudes we've signed. Also, Sanders, Munoz and Meaux, all 40 man guys, are lefty relievers like myself, so which ever of them , if any, dont make the big club will be in Charlotte. Which in turn bumps me to Bham. But as i see it, I need to do well wherever I am at and AA and AAA are almost the same thing. I need to put some numbers together this year to get a serious opportunity at some point.

He is borderline crazy. If you thought Wally was intense, wait til you see Razor. The man is the ultimate in intensity. Its fun to watch and to be apart of. He brings out the best in his guys.
-
Rex I cant wait til you get a chance to see Mr Shines in action. He is one hell of a good show.

Perfect a wrestler telling me what to do I'm f***ed!!

Fullerton can suck a dick! We swept their ass in 2001.
-
Neal you are crazy to donate to Illinois State. They suck. You might as well of donated it to me because at least I could be constructive with that cash. Or at the very least you could have donated to the prestigious University of California at Santa Barbara where there is some real baseball being played. ISU sucks and doesnt deserve your hard earned money.

1A Bullard 1B Reed 2 Honel 3 Cotts 4 Borchard 5 Wing 6 Sweeney 7 Anderson 8 Young 9 Pacheco 10 McCarthy There it is ladies and gentlemen, my 2004 predictions

Ok, I think I remember everything that you guys were curious about. 1. Cotts- He pitched well in Afl, until he hurt his back and got to go home early. Dont worry he is fine now. I think it was more precaution than anything. Secondly, he started working on a cutter and from what he has told me it is coming along quite nicely. That will be a good complement to his curveball and changeup. Neal is back home in Illinois, so if you get a chance go bother him, he loves to be bothered! 2. Malone- He struggled early on this year and actually went to Kanny for awhile, but when he came back in August he looked more like the Corwin of 2001. As long as he throws strikes he will be alright b/c he has the s*** to pitch in the show and he is a hard working dude as well. 3. The rule 5 draft is coming up on Dec. 15. I think the list of the guys taken will be on baseballamerica.com later that day or the next at the latest. Who knows good ol' Bull might be changing addresses. We got some quality arms and bats protected on the AAA roster, so dont be surprised to see at least one of us gone at least through the end of ST. 4. I am in the middle of finals right now at UCSB. So pray for me b/c I have no motivation what so ever take them and actually do well. I just wanna pass. I am too old to still be hangin out with 18-20 college kids. I feel like I am in Bristol all over again!! But I only have to endure to college life until Dec. 11. Then I am done until next fall. Anyway, I hope I answered some stuff that was relevant to the questions aforementioned above. i'll check in when I get a chance. Peace

What do you want to know? I'll do my best to answer any questions

I am 6'7. So I think I won!!

It is not really a good idea for myself, nor Neal to really comment about coaches in our org. regardless if it is positve or negative. I love Wally, thats all I can really say. No matter who ends up managing (assuming JM is gonna be fired) somebody is gonna be fore the idea and others will be against it. That's human nature.

Rex, The drop down deal was our pitching coordinator, Kirk Champion's, idea. I am all for it because from what he and the other coaches have been telling me that I could be in the bigs quicker this way as a Kelly Wunsch type guy. So I am going to give it a go and see what happens. It is really weird. Its feels like I am 5 yrs. old again and learning to throw for the first time. After 7 days of it I have found an arm slot that will work but I havent been able to throw strikes on a consistent basis yet. It gets a little frustrating but hell its only been a week!! I am gonna continue to work my ass off to get it before I leave instructs. If it just aint gonna work then I'll go back to the old bull and pump sliders and 2 seamers all day. I just hope I can remember where my old arm slot is. Bull -
Hey Manhands, I think I know who you are. Actually I am very positive that I know who you are. Welcome to the board Jeff and Alyssa. It took you long enough Baj to start posting. Neal and I are hanging out in s***ty ass Tucson representing the Barons staff here in instructs. Neal is leaving me soon to go to the AFL. I dont know how long or how many innings he'll be pitching. I on the other hand am dropping down to a sidearm/high submarine arm slot. It is a hell of an adjustment. I have lost all the command that I possessed from the 3/4 slot and my velocity has dipped a bit as well. I am working hard to get it down and consistent so that I may get to the Bigs quick like Champ is telling me. I guess a 6'7 lefty with an above average slider, 88-90 fastball, and solid command is not what they want me to be anymore. Hope all is well in Ca. and dont be afraid to call Neal and I. We get bored easily. Peace Bull :fthecubs

Borch and Rauch didnt get called up mainly because in the thick of a peenant race the number of Sept. callups are limited as to not mess with the team chemistry and to wait money calling up guys who are gonna sit the bench. Both Miles and Adkins outplayed Borch and Rauch and that is why they got called up. I assume Joe is gonna go back to PR for winterball, but I dont know about Jon. Winningugly dont get so caught up in Joe returning to football becuz it aint gonna happen. I bet Joe has a really good year next year. I would think he is still definitely in the Sox plans. But for Rauch I dont know. As for Neal and I, Neal is heading out to the Fall League on the 25th and Im stuck here in instructs till Oct. 4 then I m heading back to school to get 5 more classes under my belt. Rex you may be interested to know that I am being totally changed into a Kelly Wunsch clone. It felt a little awkward at first but I actually have picked it up pretty quick and I think its gonna end up getting me to the Show a lot quicker. -

Rex, it seems that every first rounder's velo is always over hyped. 90-94 means 87-92 in most cases. Also most scouts that scout amateurs use the JUGS gun which is always 2-3 mph's faster than the Stalkers we use in pro ball. I mean when I pitched at Fullerton before the draft the scouts had me at 89-94 but since ive been in pro ball I havent hit anything over 91 and I pitch as you probably know at 88 89. Honel is good but he does need to gain more command of his curveball to pitch at the higher levels beacuase they will not chase it like they do in A ball. His velo, since I have seen him in Bristol in 2001 and in Bham this year, is always around 88- 90. He'll probably get a full year at AA next year so you will have plenty of time to evaluate him. -

OK everyone here is the real list according to Bullard and Cotts. (We are really bored here in instructional league so we thought we would throw out our list.) 1. Reed - He's freakin good! 2. Cottsy - He's really good too! 3. Honel - Ya you guessed it, he's really good too! 4. Pacheco - He really put himself on the radar this year and he was our ace in Bham 5. Winger - He has flashed some serious s*** and is only gonna get better. 6. Borchard - Even though he had a tough year he is still really good too! 7. Morse/Lopez/Valido/Yan/Gonzo - They are so similar its tough to pick one. They all had decent years but they also all flashed some tools that are definitely projectable. 8. Munoz - Had a bad start but finished strong in AAA 9. Bajenaru - Came back strong from TJ and had a hell of a year. Probably the best reliever in our org. 10. Anderson/Sweeney - they are like the same dude. We couldnt pick one so they will go together. *Others who arent quite top ten worthy include Meaux, Biko, Bull, Gload, Diaz, Adkins, Phillips, Fields, Deiny, Majewski, McCarthy, Sanders, Rauch *One thing we must say is that age is not a very big factor for us to include or exclude someone but the class of 2003 were ostly left out because they havent really done s*** yet, but Anderson, Sweeney, and Valido must be included not only because they are good but because we have seen them in action in instructs. PS Insrtucts is going well but its hot as piss out here. Peace -
Ya Juan coaches Bayamon. And yes Jason I'm still at SB. This will be my 6th yr. there. Im that old guy in class that everyone stares at. I shouldve just stayed in school 1 more yr and graduated before I signed!
-
I'm going to instructional league and then I'm going to go back to school and knock out 5 more classes towards my degree in History. I am hoping to maybe play in Puerto Rico next year for our pitching coach Juan Nieves.
-
I think its gonna be Pacheco, Castillo, Yofu(if he's healthy), and An. With Pacheco going game 5 if necessary. And Malone and Wylie being available as well if someone falters early. And then of course you got the core of the pen with me, Meaux, Smitty and Baj ready to role
