  1. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 05:23 PM) Would Anderson have had that? yes. yes. yes.
  2. QUOTE(G&T @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 05:22 PM) As long as that 2 hitter isn't Uribe. julio lugo?
  3. Tim Reddings fastball makes Freddy's look like Joel Zumaya's.
  4. QUOTE(SouthsideNorthsideFan @ Aug 1, 2006 -> 09:06 PM) stick with cool original sox-esque things like the rally-crede...errr...uhhh fireworks in the scoreboard. fields with lights. harry carey. recent world championships. competent ownership. those sound pretty sox-esque to me.
  5. I dont think Uribe is a free agent at seasons end. Other than that, I love the Carl Crawford idea, no matter how slim the chances. Id put Tracey in the long relief role, it doesnt seem that the market has many better options.
  6. Id be willing to trade just about anyone to get Crawford (and I say I because Im the new GM).
  7. The best part about watching Konerko's Grand Slam in Game 2 of the World Series, is seeing Damaso Marte jumping up and down hysterically in the bullpen. good times.
  8. QUOTE(S720 @ Aug 1, 2006 -> 08:27 AM) It seems as if year after year we've been picking weak-armed pitchers in the draft while other teams are loading up with powerful arms! Why did we skip over Matt Garza or Cesar Carrillo to select Broadway? Matt and Cesar are in AAA, while our very owned is in AA! Once again, in this past 2006 draft, again we selected one more weak-armed pitcher in Kyle McCulloch. Can someone please show me the light to the reason why our scouting team is so afraid of selecting powerful-armed pitchers? WE NEED MORE NICK LEMONS, WYATT ALLENS AND WES WHISLERS!!!!!!!!!!! but seriously, with the 20th pick or worse, there arent going to be many premier power arms left on the board. Garza seems to be a bit of an anomaly...no one was complaining about him when we selected broadway (although there were some carrillo rumblings)
  9. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 1, 2006 -> 06:08 AM) For some strange reason, teams don't want to trade the guys who are really good, and have no problems...
  10. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 06:51 PM) WHY THE gosh darn ISNT IGUCHI IN!!!!!!!??? HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA gosh darn?

  12. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 06:49 PM) Pods gets on, know lets see if he can still steal a base hes got no chance QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 06:50 PM) hes got no chance unless its thrown away
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 06:46 PM) People say he's supposed to be a decent outfielder because he has speed. However, he's so tentative out there, and he looks slower than hell now. I laugh when people rip on Manny's defense when trying to stick up for Pods. I watched some Red Sox games this weekend, and Manny made 5 throws in those games better than any Pods has ever made. so true, so true
  14. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 06:42 PM) It was the right thing to do. Unless we could have acquired another leadoff hitter/left fielder to replace Pods. i still dream of carl crawford.
  15. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 06:26 PM) Tampa up 2-1 on Detroit. maybe last night loss was ultra-traumatic and they will start to spiral.
