I take back everything I said about not exercising Jim's 2009 option. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 02:55 PM) Richard...Broadway has been an absolute disaster this season since the first month. We're going to have to acquire another starting pitcher if the organization gets the balls to demote Contreras. Did anyone see Richard today in the future's game. He looked like he could be a fine #5 starter, which makes him better than Jose right now. -

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jul 12, 2008 -> 09:29 PM) They this to the Angels too. They are just hitting on another level right now. This team is just plain good. Their offense is amazing. -

Is this Jose's last year under contract? -
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 3, 2008 -> 07:15 PM) Are you kidding me Javy? What a terrible 1-2 pitch. I'm so f***ing sick of him getting burned on that fastball that tails right over the plate. Take your pick, it's that, or the flat-slider that Cust hit out.

we are going to score more runs off justin

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 3, 2008 -> 07:09 PM) And what a shocker, we can't get the runner in from 2nd with no outs. Not for lack of solid contact at least.
-
that ball was hammmmmmered.
-
horrendous pitch.
-
God. This team can be so exciting.
-
Say what you want, Wise has a really pretty swing. Effortless.
-
John Danks is f***ing tough. Awesome.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 24, 2008 -> 09:10 PM) You should know I was joking. Anything to wipe that f***ing smirk off the face of their fans. God its great watching the whole stadium let out a collective sight of disappointment. -
and to think I groaned when I saw that he was in the lineup.

I'm not necessarily advocating lineup changes, but it is interesting that our hottest hitters (Dye, Swisher, Crede, Sexy Alexei) are all bringing up the rear. -

I swear, Josh Hamilton's swing is completely perfect. I've never seen anything like it in my life. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 17, 2008 -> 08:22 PM) 2 for 30 with RISP and 2 outs....'nuff said Just think about how you feel when he's up in those situations. It's amazing to think that I'd rather have BA, or Alexei, or even (seriously) Uribe with 2 outs and RISP. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 17, 2008 -> 08:19 PM) I think it's funny when people put him in a group with Thome and Konerko among players that are hurting the Sox. It's insane. Even a cursory glance at his numbers should make people who complain about him shut up. Although I do think he should DH next year. -

This game is going to be awful to watch, no matter the outcome. I'm turning on gameday and letting the computer tell the tale. Javy nibbles like no other pitcher I've ever seen. It's nothing short of embarrassing. -

QUOTE (Cubano @ Jun 14, 2008 -> 08:50 PM) Guillen is going to mess up Ramirez timing now with all this crap about benching him. Ramirez must thinking what do I have to do to play on this team regularly? Do I need to hit a HR every time? I want somebody in the media to question Guillen hard on this decision. I do not want any reporter being pay by the White Sox asking stupid question, but somebody independent. I am mad as hell. If Alexei sucks, I will be the first one saying send him back to Cuba. I am going to sleep now. I can't take this nonsense anymore. Alexei will be starting tomorrow.
