A's @ Sox
QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jul 4, 2008 -> 06:58 PM) In 2004 at the same date we had the 2nd best run differential with a +68. That was the epitome of on again, off again offense. Our hitting was incredible in 2004 and we won 90 freaking games. Are you guys freakin serious?

QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 4, 2008 -> 06:57 PM) you know, like, when you actually watch the season. And you are saying we've been good for one week and bad for 2 months? I say again, what the f*** are you talking about. Have we lucked our way into the 4th fewest losses in the majors? I mean, wtf is wrong with you?!

QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 4, 2008 -> 06:46 PM) It's like you guys are surprised by this. We've been good one week, bad another for 2 months. We have the second best run differential and the 3rd or 4th best record in the majors. What the f*** are you talking about.

Athletics @ White Sox 7/3/2008
We've hit some balls pretty hard. Just right at people. Not too upset about the way we're swinging against this guy. We were bound to have a game like this.

Indians vs. White Sox 7:11 CSN
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 1, 2008 -> 08:31 PM) This is definitely not the time for our offense to go into a slump. Yesterday we scored 9 runs. Today we faced the pitcher with the best ERA in the league.

Tribe @ Sox, Game 1, 06/30, 7:11 PM
QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 30, 2008 -> 07:34 PM) God forbid I think that 2 guys who are hitting so well should make contact against Sowers. I am sure if you polled both of them they would be upset as well. I know! They should be expected to get hits in every AB! I mean come on. Players strike out. Even against crappy pitchers.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 30, 2008 -> 07:31 PM) Nothing like strikeouts in the middle of the order with men on to kill a rally. 2 men on, with a dude with a 6 ERA on the mound and we get back to back strikeouts. We need a better job than that. Damn those rally killers! Especially two of the hottest hitters in the AL! Damn them!

And that's a Tigers sweep
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 01:38 PM) Rogers and Verlander have both been a lot better lately, and we did nothing to impede that progress for them. Although they are both overrated, Zumaya and Rodney are coming back soon. They blowtorched two of our better starting pitchers in this series, and then somehow won when the other one was great. Outside of when the atrocious Nate Robertson pitched, we did nothing on offense against a pitching staff that as a team has been lousy all year. Now, their pitching staff will still struggle since they don't get to face our hot and cold offense everyday, but this series has run starter and giant awakening written all over it. I hope I'm wrong, but if they don't make a run soon, aided in terms of it's start by this series, I'd be very, very surprised. Of course they'll make a run. Everybody makes a run.

And that's a Tigers sweep
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 01:29 PM) We're not laughably bad, but the notion that we are a good team is pretty laughable right now. People can make all the excuses they want, but Detroit has been mediocre/bad and asleep all year, and we woke them up in 3 days. You can't do that, period. How the hell do you know we woke them up!?! They haven't even played anymore games yet!
