  1. Logan cruises through and somebody finally gets Hudson out.
  2. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Mar 28, 2006 -> 03:52 PM) Cy Vargas has been replaced by Terry Muholland. We should start raking right about now. Haha. We went 1-2-3 taking a bunch of "It's time to be out of spring training swings" Logan in to pitch.
  3. Here is a cool stat. Jim Thome's ratio of one home run every 13.8 at bats is the best among active AL players. On the alltime list only Mark McGwire, Babe Ruth and Barry Bonds have a better rate.
  4. LOLLOLOLOLOL. Hawk said that Vargas stuck our bats in the wrong spot today (basically saying that he stuck em up their asses), talking about him dominating. DJ says, cmon Hawk, I've been having a enough bad things to visualize today. It was definitely funnier if you heard it. Much funnier than I described it.THey've been pretty funny today. Talking about which pitchers they sucked against.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 28, 2006 -> 03:39 PM) Was Jenks the pitcher who allowed the runs? Javy
  6. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Mar 28, 2006 -> 03:13 PM) Through 4 he has only given up 1 run on a solo dong, and scattered three hits. I am going only by the score on mlb.com, and cant give you walk and strikeout totals. This is our freakin 5th starter also. 2 years ago the former tee ball stand by committee of Felix Diaz, Arnie Munoz and crap on a stick was marching out there. Now Javier Vasquez. LOL How times have changed. It's crazy isn't it. If you would have told me that Javier Vazquez would be our 5th starter in 2006 two years ago I would have said you were nuts. It's amazing how much things have changed in our staff.
  7. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 28, 2006 -> 02:33 PM) Vazquez not looking sharp today, Quinten with a lead off double... Their hitters have gotten 1 hit in every 3 ABs this spring. He's doing pretty good against them. Haha.
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 28, 2006 -> 02:20 PM) Does anyone know the rotation match-ups for the first series vs Cleveland? Burly/Sabathia Garcia/Lee Contreras/Byrd I'm about 80% sure of that. I read that's what they were planning last week. Cleveland that is. I know that's our matchups.
  9. QUOTE(SouthsideBlitz @ Mar 28, 2006 -> 02:19 PM) I think you mean player or batter ... Yah. I saw that. Was too lazy to fix it. I figure most everybody on this board knows he's a hitter.
  10. LOL. Hudson owns the Sox. It's incredible how a fairly mediocre pitcher seems to hit some bombs off of us.
  11. QUOTE(Wanne @ Mar 28, 2006 -> 02:09 PM) I haven't had squat for rain today NW Valley. Tomorrow will probably be a washout though. Man that sucks. I know you guys need it. Looked like it was covering mainly just the south AZ this morning.
  12. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 28, 2006 -> 01:46 PM) If It's raining/had rain in the area, I wouldn't risk it if I were them. Hopefully the weather will be the only reason. Yep. It's been raining all day out there. It's good news though. AZ needs the rain bigtime.
  13. I think it was supposed to rain out there today. They sure as hell need it. That might keep some of the guys out if they do try and get it in.
  14. Did those who got it from deep discount get free shipping? If you did do you have it already? Thx!
  15. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 10:31 PM) Not unless Gooch is hitting about .190. Pretty much.
  16. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 10:20 PM) Fangraphs.com, whatever the Hell that is. nice! Thx.
  17. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 10:17 PM) No, I “trash” them because Rotoworld has–in my estimation–an agenda against the White Sox. Thought this would have been clear if you continued reading past the first sentence. I don't know how you and Jabs concluded my posts as implying anything different. I invited anyone willing to browse through their comments section and locate such quotations matching the criticism seen in Podsednik’s box. My purpose was not to suggest Rotoworld has the audacity to post truthful statements. I’m noting their biased attitudes. If they fairly critiqued other players aside from ours I wouldn’t have a problem. I've definitely seen it too fwiw. Not just with a guy like pods. Here he is. Aaron Gleeman. Big Twinks fan. Look at his AL sleepers. Google cache story His Twinks website
  18. Anybody know a site that includes the number of infield hits a player has?
  19. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 09:33 PM) True, yes--but far from unusual. Rotoworld has taken every opportunity to insult our ballclub the last several years. This isn't merely a conspiracy theory--I'm positive someone working for the website despises our ballclub. Just look at their comments section from the last week and locate one comment where they judge another player based on a perceived injury and label them as a "lousy regular." It's really a "no s***" situation. Remove the most important attribute of someone's game and their bound to become a "lousy regular." Will Gagne still remain a dominant closer without a 98 mph fastball complimenting two outstanding offspeed pitches? Yep, just another Sox-hating website. I want to say one of their writers is a hardcore Twins fan. I could be thinking of another site though.
  20. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 09:32 PM) What I posted is fact. I'm not calling it whatever I want. Podsednik had nagging groin problems most of last season and just had a problem with his groin today. I'm not disputing that. It's quite obvious that he had a twinge. Lots of people who have sports hernia surgery do. It doesn't really affect them. however. Especially the farther you get from the surgery. He had a nagging groin injury last year because he had a sports hernia. Good thing they caught it and went ahead with surgery in the offseason.
  21. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 09:14 PM) Podsednik had a groin problem all of last season and he just felt a twinge in his groin running the bases today. It sure seems to be a "nagging" problem to me. I don't need the Sox to tell me. Well if you want to classify it as that, I don't care. You can call it whatever you want. It's just great news that he could have gone back in and should be good to go in a day or two, and it wasn't a heck of lot worse than it is. Good news all around. Glad to see everybody having good ABs too.
  22. I thought Logan had no chance to make it. I need to go look at that long thread about Logan. Great job kid. keep it up.
  23. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 09:09 PM) But we all know that nagging groin injuries aren't good and especially suck for Podsednik. He keeps trying to steal bases and gets thrown out easily. Well, yah, if they said it might be nagging or be a problem I think that would be a big problem for Pods. But he was getting ready to go back in there, which is a big sign considering how high maintenence and worried he gets about his body/conditioning.
  24. Guillen was talking about contingency plans because a reporter asked who would play in his spot if he were unavailable. More of a question about what would happen if Pods went down during the year. Looks like it would be a split between Pablo and Rob. Herm said he would have gone right back in the game if he hadn't told Pods to stay out because there was no sense in throwing him back out there. Real good news. FIgured he might have hurt an ankle or knee or something when I heard he went out today.
