  1. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 07:18 PM) it's like you're rooting for it. Enjoy! I've never been so frustrated as a White Sox fan. It scares me to death that this could be our future for the next 3 years.
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 07:18 PM) He must be injured, not be able to pitch in the AL, or is on steroids. Call off the season and his contract, pack it in boys. We can call off his contract?
  3. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 07:16 PM) Keep blowing on your effing hands there sport. What's his freaking problem? Must be cold in the dome!
  4. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 07:15 PM) It's going to be a long season if he can't adjust to AL hitting. Season?
  5. AJ would be a pretty decent hitter if he could hitter better than .250 with risp
  6. QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 05:53 PM) lol @ all the peavy nonsense, I think some of us here may have thought he would post a sub 3.00 ERA, he's not that kind of pitcher in AL. I expect 3.85 ERA ish. He's making too much money to be a 3.85 ERA guy.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 05:47 PM) Really? 1919? 88 years without a world series? The game where they wore shorts? Disco Demolition night? 2007? David Wells? GM Harrelson? Well, worse than David Wells and 2007 for sure. We've got 22+ million dollars locked up for several years that could be used for other, really good players.
  8. The summer of 2009 is going to be the worst thing that ever happened to the white sox.
  9. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 05:20 PM) I want Pierre to prove that he is better than Pods, starting tonight. LOL. Let's work on Pierre getting the same number of hits this season as Pods got today against Detroit.
  10. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 05:10 PM) This is ridiculous. weren't you saying earlier the bullpen was bad? The one that's been good? I didn't see most of yesterday, but every other game I've watched, and Rios has looked a world better than last year. Are you just going by the week's worth of stats? The bullpen has blown a save or a hold in 2 of our 6 games. Now while our hitting has been super awful, that is not good at all.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 04:28 PM) It's amazing how low the expectations for him are. It's not like he's making 10 million dollars or anything. Thinka bout the players we could ahve for 10 mil. Ugh
  12. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 04:16 PM) I disagree. I would actually say the way Rios has been hitting the ball has been one of the few bright spots of the offense. He seems to always be hitting the ball hard. I know he's only hitting .174, but he has looked so much better than last year. He hit the ball hard a couple times against the Indians. Since then he's looked terrible. Just like last year.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 03:09 PM) Eh, we're not giving up on Pierre so early. I actually like tonight's lineup a lot, though I think I'd flip Rios and Andruw. Neither can hit. Maybe Andruw can carry some momentum from his PH yesterday.
  14. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 04:18 PM) Grass is always greener jphat In this particular case I very much wanted Pods over Pierre.
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 04:13 PM) I called for the Pods signing last year and loved it and loved his performance. That being said, his getting picked off was unacceptable, and I trust Pierre will give us what Pods can. It's hard to not get picked off when you're never on base.
  16. QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 03:30 PM) Wonder who's gonna start the Pods / Pierre stat tracker. I've been counting every day. Pods has more hits in one game than Pierre has all year. I'm keeping up with Getz/Teahen too.
  17. Podsednik has more hits today than Juan Pierre has all season. Awesome.
