  1. QUOTE(brijames @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 08:20 PM) What the f is wrong with you guys? Was counting on you giving us some help this weekend. Bad streak.. that's really it.. Flores did nothing to help that inning.. allowed 2 runners on and no outs.. Pooper is now in!
  2. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 08:15 PM) A slam gives the Cards a 2 run lead. If we can get into the 9th with it the same score my bad.. Due up: Eckstein (0/4), Spiezio (0/4, 4 ks) or PH Edmonds or someone, Pujols (3/3).. Hmmm.. I dont think we get this one either.. we'll try!
  3. Detroit is stealing signs off our Crapenter.. LOL Sorry guys.. didnt think we'd play like s*** still
  4. Carpenter isnt an ace.. last year he was just to fool us.. we are in deep doo doo if this is our team much longer..
  5. Inge just went yard on an 0-2 pitch.. 3-0 Detroit.. we're done for the night
  6. The Cards have b****ed, besides Duncan? I dont see anyone b****ing.. Just a source.. big deal? They could have very well been tipping pitches but it had more to do with Mulder being injured and pitching and Marquis sucking to me.. and Reyes being awesome..
  7. QUOTE(Spiff @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 08:00 AM) Hyperbole and ignorance. Regular season means s***? Ok, then why bother watching at all. The regular season is more important in baseball than in any other sport. After the season's over and your team has lost then you can make the claim that it meant nothing, but if you make the playoffs by one game or you get home-field in a series you can't say it means s***. Winning 100 games in the regular season means NOTHING if you dont show up to play in the playoffs.. or if you take it easy in September and fall apart because you play no meaningless game.. it doesnt mean a whole lot.. that's why I'm hoping the Central actually goes down to the last week for the Cards.. I want my team showing up in the playoffs.. but it does mean something.. just not when you when you win your division by like 20 games the last couple years.. that was my point!
  8. They do.. doesnt mean they are the best in the NL.. Regular season means s***.. the Cards would know!
  9. QUOTE(BFirebird @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 09:59 PM) Sweaty Freddy with a gem...within a half game of detroit and charging hard. Watch out Kitties....here come the Chi Sox!!! And a pissed off group of Birds
  10. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 09:30 PM) 0 for 4 night for Albert. Hopefully he worked out the kinks in his swing tonight and he goes off on the Pussycats. Well considering it was the first night of facing live pitching for a while.. he's still learning and tonight was the night that gets him going..
  11. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 09:14 PM) Gotta take out all that aggression somewhere right? Yeah but we have Carpenter, Suppan, and Ponson pitching.. kill me Anyways this wasnt a great series for us by any means but it didnt surprise me.. well it did a little.. It's fine.. never have disliked the Sox and their fans (not saying that to suck up, it's the truth).. Perhaps, we shall meet later on and have a better series from our side? I can only hope!
  12. I could take this and say.. I hope the Tigers sweep us just to piss ya off more but I think we'll show up after this game
  13. Now that was a tough one to take.. but I'll take that sweep against us with Reyes awesome performance... Good luck the rest of the way guys!
  14. A shocker.. not.. Cards killer ends the no no and the game.. Very happy with Reyes tonight tho!
  15. Great first time through the lineup.. now I'm scared s***less this next time around!
  16. Yahoo has a different Cards lineup but FSMW just showed the lineups they had.. what I posted earlier..
  17. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 06:18 PM) As a Cardinal fan I want your opinion on something. Do you think Pujols would be back in the lineup if this series hadn't gone the way it has? Do you believe this is a desperation move on LaRussa's part to stop the bleeding? My honest opinion.. I think he's back because of what's happened and that Cards wanna try and take at least one of these games.
  18. Albert's work ethic is very very well.. I knew when he went out he'd be back in no time.. I didnt think it would be 2 weeks or so though.. but he said he wanted to play 1st when he returned over DH'ing because he feels fielding is just as important to the team as him DH'ing.. or something like that.. crazy I know.. Yes I'm worried he's coming back too soon but I'm not at all surprised he returns tonight.. Afterall they probably want our best out there for the Rookie pitching tonight..

  20. Pujols in, Mulder out Posted by Matthew Leach on Thursday, 22 June 2006 at 04:56 PM [Link]
  21. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 04:48 PM) Yeah, I agree. I'm saying, I don't think there's even the slightest chance they're just taking his word for it. Btw, no link yet.... I tried CJE15's link, but it mentions nothing about Pujols. No it has nothing yet.. they havent got a link up but it's on their site now.. so I believe he's back..
  22. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 04:44 PM) That's the 2nd NL Central pitcher in a week to go to the DL due to "sucking at his job" (Glendon Rusch did earlier this week). He's going on the DL with a 'sore shoulder' but believe what you want.. I think he's been hurt for a while now but who knows..
  23. The Cardinals will activate slugger Albert Pujols from the disabled list before tonight's 7:05 CT matchup with the White Sox. Mark Mulder heads to the DL to make room for Pujols, who returns from a strained right oblique muscle. Anthony Reyes gets the start. Full story >
