Maybe it was just my imagination
I kept my eyes open the entire time and saw the above. They actually gave some props to El Duque and the Sox.

.216 AVG. That's all that needs to be said.

Sox starters have only allowed 4 runs in 27 innings. That's good for a 1.33 ERA from our first four starters (Buehrle, Garcia, Contreras, and El Duque). Keep the ERA down tomorrow, Garland!

Sox @ Twinkies: 4/9/05 Game Thread
Agreed. Vizcaino threw a week's worth of pitches in that one game.

Garland may not be able to go tomorrow.
Phew.

Opening Day at Wrigley!
So it's not LaTroya's fault that he choked and gave up a single and a double back-to-back with 2 outs?

Pablo Ozuna may start on Sunday...
Unfortunately it won't be at 3rd base in place of Crede... http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...t=.jsp&c_id=cws How nice it must be to get your first start of the season against Johan Santana. :banghead

Ughhh, bad news. Buehrle against Santana is a dream matchup.

What is wrong with Joe Crede?
Indeed. I would hate to trade Carl because he would be a stud bat off the bench once Frank is healthy. But with the way Crede is looking ONCE AGAIN, we will most likely need a good 3rd baseman by the All-Star break. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...t=.jsp&c_id=cws Hint: They are talking about Crede.

Yeah, lay off the bright green chat qwerty. My eyes are still burning. 50 year old El Duque's performance brought a tear to my eye, especially since it was against those damn Twinkies.

Sox vs. Hostess Cakes: 4/8/05 Game Thread
DJ interviewing Pierzynski... They just showed an old replay of Pierzynski slamming into Frank at 1st base when A.J. was with the Twins. A.J. basically saying that he isn't the Twins' friend during the game. After the game is over, he will be cool with them though. Jacque Jones told his teammates not to listen to A.J. behind the plate.

Yes, it was. They actually delayed the game for that crap. It was supposed to be a 7:10 PM start.

Lineups are announced on ESPN 1000 prior to the game. Also, the MLB.com GameCast has it listed early. By the way, no Justin Morneau is nice.

Jay Williams coming back to the NBA next year?
He HAS to be better than Frank Williams. I don't see why the Bulls wouldn't give him a workout after this season.
