  1. What can you do then? Try to trade for every top player available? Some other team will trade for the top talent. You can't always something about it.
  2. Sheets has been garbage today. He just gave up his 5th and 6th runs of the game. 6-4 Flubs. He's being pulled after 6.2 IP. EDIT: The Brewers just scored 2 runs in the 7th inning to tie it. Sheets it off the hook for the loss.
  3. Ben just gave up his 4th run of the game. 4-3 Flubs. Like I said, the Flubs have his number. EDIT: Chad Moeller just tied the game at 4-4 with a solo jack. Sheets is still the pitcher of decision.
  4. Well, I'm not saying he is going to trade for Lilly but why is there a Sox scout looking at him then? Lilly isn't better than El Duque but would he be a better 5th starter than McCarthy? Yes.
  5. All we need is a 5th starter if El Duque can't stay healthy. Our top four guys are all good enough.
  6. He always sucks against the Flubs. They have his number. But Carlos Lee has the Flubs' number. He just hit a game-tying 2-run bomb.
  7. If he picks up another starter, I honestly don't think it's going to be a stud. It's going to be a 5th starter-type guy like Lilly.
  8. He said that we'll be 9.5 games back.
  9. They aren't trading Greinke. Get it out of your head now.
  10. You are assuming that El Duque can stay healthy. Kenny isn't.
  11. Ummm, he got rocked against the Sweeney-less Royals. Lilly isn't great but he would probably be a better 5th starter than McCarthy at this point in their respective careers.
  12. WSCR 670 The Score is reporting that the Sox are scouting Ted Lilly.
  13. If you had to knock on wood before you typed it, why did you type it?
  14. And they scored all 4 runs with 2 outs because of an error. They should have scored no runs.

  16. Maybe, but the Astros would just want prospects or young, cheap MLB-ready players.
  17. For THIS season, they would move Cruddyer to 2nd base. They would move him back to 3rd once Randa is gone. And yes, I could see them going after a guy like Randa. The Twins have a horrible infield, offensively and defensively, and Randa would be a guy they could actually acquire considering he is only on a 1-year, $2.15 million contract. They would only have to pay his prorated salary if they acquired him at the deadline.
  18. Why do people still think Crede is going to turn it around and hit .290? There's a reason he had a s***ty May -- because he's not that good of a hitter. Crede's career stats: .254 AVG .305 OBP Crede's 2005 stats: .245 AVG .309 OBP Is anyone actually surprised by these numbers? That's just what he's good for.
  19. Ummm, no? The Astros aren't in contention. They want to get younger, not older. Why in the hell would they ever want Everett? Answer: they wouldn't.
  20. If the Twins trade for Randa, they would just move Cruddyer to 2nd base.
