Why is a game in which we hold only a 1-run lead and that we can gain another game in the standings on Minnesota, Cleveland, AND Detroit if we win considered a "low risk" game?

So we should risk losing a game to see if Shingo can get another scoreless inning? There's a reason teams have closers. Last night was a save situation and that's what your closer is for.

Kenny Rogers has a broken pinky, ON HIS NON-PITCHING HAND, and he can't pitch. This has nothing to do with his injury. He is having a hissy-fit about his contract extension talks. The reason Rogers wants his contract extended now is because he always falls apart in the second half of the season. Look at his career numbers. He isn't this good. He has a 4.20 career ERA. Possible Cy Young canidate? LOL, not a chance in hell.

People say that every year. He wins 12 every season. It's not like it was a bold prediction to say that he would earn a whole 3 more wins.

So why would they want to trade him? They want to add a reliever or two. They DON'T want to add a reliever and subtract one of their starters.

I'm just thinking that they will want an outfielder that can be productive now and in the future for them. Everett is older and more expensive.

I'm not so sure they would want Everett. I think they would want a younger and cheaper outfielder. They would also want a better reliever than either Vizcaino or Shingo.

The D-Backs are in contention and need bullpen help. Why would there ever be a bigger trade and what would it be?!?

They DID use Herges and he sucked. They designated him for assignment and no other team claimed him. That's why he is in their minors right now.

The Diamondbacks want to ADD a reliever or two. I doubt they will be trading any of theirs. I think they would deal either Cintron or prospects for a reliever.
