  1. QUOTE (farmteam @ May 8, 2016 -> 10:48 PM) Silicon Valley continues to be great...and Gilfoyle continues to be the best character. I couldn't stop laughing for an hour after that show ended
  2. Indians definitely beat us in pitching depth right now until Rodon can pick it up and we find a 5th.
  3. QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ May 9, 2016 -> 03:19 PM) Jon has plenty of reason to attack Winterfell though - the Boltons killed Robb, and Ramsay raped and beat Sansa. More than likely, it provides an obstacle for Jon and Sansa to overcome when they inevitably attack Winterfell. But none of those would be immediate reasons to move the plot, especially when he at this point clearly believes the end is nigh with the white walkers.
  4. She's better on baseball tonight, but I just don't get feeling she cares about more than AL/NLeast and dodgers.
  5. QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ May 9, 2016 -> 02:41 PM) So, I don't disagree that there's reason to think that turning over Rickon is part of a ploy. But in the world of GOT - which is supposed to be a world of gritty realism - the Umbers have a much higher success rate if they quietly used Rickon to rally the North to their side before trying to retake Winterfell. I think describing that plan as a gamble is understating the level of risk involved. Everyone knows Ramsay's reputation. Rickon would either killed or flayed in order to preserve Ramsay's place... Finally, I also don't disagree that it would be stupid to keep Rickon hidden away for 4 seasons only to return him to be killed. But in the world of the show, any other result for Rickon strains credibility. My take? With Sansa and Theon gone, and Roose Bolton dead, there's no remaining character inside Winterfell for Ramsay to interact with. Turning Rickon over to Ramsay - as part of a ploy or because the Umbers are really, really pissed at Jon - gives them a reason to give Ramsay screen time and keeps Ramsay as a viable threat. It also may give Jon Snow a reason to attack Winterfell.
  6. I liked it, bit long. Still crazy feature of marvel movies how hard I have to think back to remember parts of the movie. They are incredibly forgettable.
  7. I don't think she's bad but she definitely suffers from the same shallowness that all of the other espn announcers suffer from (kirk fowler, my boy).
  8. QUOTE (lostfan @ May 9, 2016 -> 12:20 PM) I have a couple friends there. Plus, meeting kapkomet's goofy ass in person. Ah. Have to say Arlington is low on my list of stadiums to see.
  9. So you are telling me there is a network called the U and a network called METV and they pass sox game right sback and forth? I'm going to stick a qtip in my ear to forget that I thought about this.
  10. QUOTE (3GamesToLove @ May 9, 2016 -> 11:20 AM) Psst...they're not on the U anymore. Things I don't care about: carrying water for the rebranding of the U
  11. Do they have the same equipment then? Sure seems like games on the U look like a garbage factory.
  12. Because we have had a lot of exciting plays this year and I'm sure we are watching more than last years unwatchable mess. Wanted to point out that CSN games are the best. Aside from it being really hard to watch games without pitchtracker, the production value of their games are fantastic. I am ignorant of who produces what, and if the same group produces across WGN to the U to CSN, but the in the moment cuts during hits to base runners and outfielders/infielders have been amazing. Add to that there have been a bunch of tremendous shots they've cut to mid hit of long views of outfielders chasing a ball to show how far they have to run. Kudos, CSN
  13. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 9, 2016 -> 09:47 AM) I've long thought that Jon would leave the Nights Watch since his "watch has ended" and go to Winterfell to take it from the Boltons and help save Sansa. So now he has Sansa and Rickon to worry about. Also, I don't think Jon becomes Lord of Winterfell, I don't think he wants that as I think he's still worried about the walkers and that war, but he knows that having Winterfell supporting him will be key and helping is family is a priority and something he can actually do now that his vows are over. Right, I thought so too. What threw me off was how he left, basically not as leader of the wildling army or ensuring support of the watch. I wonder how he patches up power.
  14. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ May 9, 2016 -> 09:27 AM) Would Rickon kill Shaggydog or allow him to be killed, just for the sake of a ploy? I did notice that the wolves head we saw looked small for a direwolf. Yeah. That part I don't know what to say. It's possible they do get tortured as a catalyst to turn john.
  15. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 6, 2016 -> 06:13 PM) Don't think for a second that that would have actually mattered. His crowds love this incoherent nonsense. I am surprised that the question over defaulting the US economy never came up during those debates.
  16. QUOTE (lostfan @ May 9, 2016 -> 08:51 AM) I wanted to travel to this game, but it's like they are ALWAYS in Texas in April or May before I'm ready. Why Dallas?
  17. I have to believe in Kalapses theory on them being in on it, however, there is too much "good things" happening for Game of Thrones for me to feel comfortable.
  18. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ May 9, 2016 -> 02:19 AM) I don't know but it could make teams scared of drafting him. I'm willing to be that the teams who are looking at him, have brought it up. Even if he did, it's unlikely it affects his career in any way. So I would put the odds of it scaring teams away at 0.0%
  19. That was a really great shot by CSN crew on Abreu double
