I am somewhat here but also share @maxjusttypeds horror at the pitching depth. It is shocking how bad it is in AA and AAA, and isn’t much better aside from notables in lower levels. We really need paddy to start finding more depth for us here from international. We haven’t found even a bullpen at that I can remember from him since he took over.

It is brutal. And worse is how brutal even the bullpens are at lower levels. None of the denlingers, Lunas, etc provided any help. It’s all udfas in a ball, all minor league FAs in AA/AAA. Just an org incapable of handling every aspect of team building at once.

There are probably only 5 aces left in this game, and everyone ace-adjacent is still getting paid like one. He's still a very durable starter whose had long stretches of dominance. Would I pay him? No probably not. I think Jerry's pitching heterodoxy was perfectly understandable. Problem is his orgs also didn't invest that money in scouting, development or ...anywhere else to take advantage.

sometimes Giolito gets out of sync with his mechanics, then he gets in sync with his mechanics.
