  1. QUOTE(MarlinFan84 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 01:44 PM) I agree with them when they say JJ is a good shooter...great from the free throw line, and pretty good from 3. Not as good as ESPN makes him out to be, no where near the greatest 3 shooter in history...NCAA or ACC. When you add in the rest of his game...poor in pretty much every area...not a good pass, not a good ball handler, cant create his own shots...I see a good yet extremely overhype college player with little to no pro career. JJ is one of the best pure shooters the college game has ever seen.
  2. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 01:23 PM) Interesting little shoving match in the Duke-BC game. Sure is taking them a while to sort it out. Nothing big. Paulus got up and swung his arms in celebration, accidentally hit Hinnant who thought he got blind sided because he didn't see what happened so he pushed him back. Just confusion really.
  3. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 01:03 PM) Mike Patrick might actually be worse. Every time Redick hits an even moderately difficult shot it sounds like he needs to change his pants. Ha can't argue there. This game though, Vitale is splooging himself over bc. He's said like 30 times already "BC is no doubt a legit team to make it to indianopolis."
  4. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 12:23 PM) Nice to see BC rolling over for Duke after playing the game of their life yesterday... Someone's bitter.
  5. An interesting tidbit, might not mean anything but you never know: George Mason's AD is on the selection committee, who right now sits squarely on the bubble.
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 01:15 AM) Nebraska and Wake were soundly beaten today, Nevada defeated Utah State, San Diego State defeated Wyoming, and Pacific defeated Long Beach State. Good day for the bubble teams. Yup. One spoiler left, there will be a lot of Florida fans tomorrow.
  7. Bubble teams come away relieved as Nevada pulls this one out.
  8. Besides the others that have already been mentioned in this thread, the 3 other auto bids that have been handed out today are: Southern from the swac, Hampton(heads favoritey team) from the meac, and kent state from the mac. Two more auto's go out tonight in the Wac where Nevada is leading Utah State by 3 with 7 and a half left; also the mountain west title game between san diego state and wyoming is just under way.
  9. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 07:42 PM) Nova, Memphis, Texas, LSU 3 of those 4 are still the same for me but one has changed.
  10. Congrats to cuse and especially Gerry. A very impressive 4 days of ball for them.
  11. UCLA just got angry I guess and is blowing out cal again. Great game on espn between Xavier and St Joes for the a10 championship and the 2nd berth from that conference.
  12. Brand is better then Tyson, there is no doubt about that. That being said, get over that f***in trade already. It was a long time ago, and Tyson is a pretty damn solid player in his own right. Cheer for Tyson and stop bringing up that trade over and over again.
  13. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 06:15 PM) Leon Powe is still the most underrated player in America, even though he's out of gas today. Oh, and UCLA is VERY dangerous.....a Pac 10 team that actually defends doesn't come along too often anymore, but is damn dangerous when it does. Powe is an absolute stud, period.
  14. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 05:38 PM) Plus while the Pac 10 is down, they typically get strong play in the tourney. Washington is another team on the rise, but not near as loaded as the Bruins. Arizona just isn't clicking this year though. I love what Howland has done and UCLA has some stellar recruits coming in. They will be a dynasty in basketball once again thanks to Howland. Plus I love West Coast schools and its great that the best college basketball school ever is on the west coast (thats right UCLA; thank you John R. Wooden). I'm actually thinking UCLA has an outside shot at the final 4. They are a really talented team whose deep thanks to all the guys that were inserted into more important roles earlier in the year when the starters were dropping like flies. I also love the playmakers they have on that team. As long as Bozeman is healthy when having him and Farmar out there, you got two tremendous creators. With a team that has this much talent, that's pretty scary.
  15. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 05:34 PM) You know whose really playing great right now..UCLA. I realize they are beating up on the down pac 10 conference but they are playing strong defensively and the team has grown a lot and responded well to all the injuries. Plus Ben Howland is a very good head coach. The only thing is they'll need to get Bozeman back healthy. I'm putting them down as an elite 8 team. UCLA has absolutely everything to make a run. They're number 3 on my big board right now. With Hollins playing well now, they got a 7 footer who can play down low, they're one of the best defensive teams in the nation, and their guard play is absolutely fantastic. I love this UCLA team.
  16. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 05:23 PM) Trenton is a beast of an athlete though.
  17. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 05:10 PM) BC beats UNC by 3, more good news for us. lmao. That game made me laugh a ton. A lot of dumb mistakes down the stretch by both teams.
  18. QUOTE(Timoperezrulez @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 04:16 PM) Why does everyone hate timo? I'm one of the few here who don't but don't ask others why because it'll go on for a while.
  19. QUOTE(bmags @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 04:13 PM) that Cintron will replace Timo as the whipping boy. Both were traded for in spring training for flailing AAA pitchers. By all accounts Cintron is more talented*, but i think he will be it. More like Cintwrong, amiright? *impossible not to be true. Well you just gave jabroni a nickname to use if Alex gets off to a bad start.
  20. Welcome, you're not going to be well liked here with that name though.
