  1. Well once this Melo thing becomes official we can go back to pretending we're in the race for Kevin Love too!
  2. I also expect NOTHING to be done by today. This is the "lets make everyone sit at their computer and update twitter every 20 second just for nada to be decided" day.
  3. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Jul 9, 2014 -> 01:16 PM) I come here just for Jason's optimism. Ha seriously. Wish I was as optimistic as Mr. Gage. And yes, LeBron going to Cleveland is scarier than him staying in Miami.
  4. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 9, 2014 -> 01:04 PM) Theory is Melo wants to play with Lebron in NY, that could happen if he signs a 2 year deal with opt out in a year to stay in Miami. No one thinks he's signing with Miami long term. That is why a lot of people are starting to speculate Melo is waiting on that to decide whether he stays in New York or bounces for another option. I happen to think that other option is a place like Chicago where he can win and the Bulls / Knicks will start working on a S&T. I literally think Melo wants to stay in NY badly but only if he thinks he has a legit shot at winning. That gets a lot less likely if Lebron is off the list (plus Aldridge is gone too) and we might find Love off the list of available FA next year as well. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jul 9, 2014 -> 01:04 PM) many theories, main one seems to be if he goes 2 years with Heat he'd go back to NYK and hope LBJ comes after the current run with Heat, if he goes long-term to Heat or Cle then Melo would consider other than Knicks I guess that makes sense in theory. Thanks.
  5. So why the hell does Melo even care what LeBron does?
  6. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jul 9, 2014 -> 09:56 AM) ...in a loss. Which was somehow celebrated. They won 1 of 4 games, and got absolutely dominated in their last game. If not for goaltending, that would have been a 7 spot as well. The whole "they tried hard!" mentality needs to go before US soccer can be a thing. Well it was celebrated because they got out of their group...the group of death. No one wants the US to stop getting better but they've continued to get better and better on the international stage and overall this World Cup should be seen as a success. Doesn't mean we'll be happy just getting out of the group next WC.
  7. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 8, 2014 -> 08:40 PM) I love it when you use logic. It doesn't happen very often so enjoy it when it does.
  8. I knew Beckham was struggling but wow have his overall numbers really plummeted.
  9. QUOTE (Tmar @ Jul 8, 2014 -> 07:28 PM) How many ounces is Eaton's bat tonight 4.
  10. Argentina almost tied Iran.
  11. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 8, 2014 -> 03:44 PM) Plus when's the last time that Brazil lost a meaningful home match? Today. Germany has been better all WC but wow.
  12. New leader for LeBron: http://www.theonion.com/articles/breaking-...eview:1:Default
  13. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 8, 2014 -> 01:32 AM) That is quality trash talk. I agree. Witty kid.
  14. Ha Wite opened a can of worms here.
  15. Ya, no reason to trade Q unless an absolutely insane offer comes along.
  16. The Pistons are going to sign Aaron Gray. Figured everyone here needed to know that.
  17. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 7, 2014 -> 09:07 PM) That also got retweeted a bunch with the source being another no name twitter. Unless you saw it somewhere else? NY Dailey news reported it I guess.
  18. Melo narrowed his list down to Bulls, Lakers, Knicks supposedly. Which you know, isn't really earth shattering.
  19. I wish Raw was in Chicago soon, CM Sandow would be amazing.
  20. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 7, 2014 -> 08:40 PM) Fandango is great He's the creepiest person ever and it's amazing
  21. Sign me up for a Ziggler-Fandango feud. And huge props to Cody, this Stardust gimmick is growing on me.
  22. Huge f***in pop for Ziggler.
  23. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 7, 2014 -> 06:35 PM) So you're saying we should just live with the status quo if we strike out on Melo and Love? I'd like to remind everyone that Joakim Noah is going to be 30 next year and is a free agent in 2016. We don't have a large window here. Nobody wants the status quo but Parsons isn't the answer either. Get creative and figure something else out, we're always settling for 2nd tier players and f*** that noise, lets not do that this time around. And agreed about Jo, so lets not waste another year being stuck in NBA hell.
  24. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 7, 2014 -> 06:22 PM) Yeah, except we had a lot of that already. And let's not pretend that Parsons is somehow a defensive liability. He's 6'9 and he's pretty athletic. We lived with Mike Dunleavy at the 3 last year. I think we can live with Chandler Parsons. We'd be fine with Parsons, I think Steve understands that but Chandler isn't going to be the piece that wins us a title.
