  1. Hmm good scouting report.
  2. Nice play Conor. As much as I love Jose, I will say that it sucks to be nervous about routine catches at 1st base.
  3. Mercy. That ball, damn.
  4. Good job Conor! Light him up Jose!!
  5. Seems that Marcus' biggest improvement needed at the moment is his situational hitting.
  6. Hahahaha Hawk, loved that call!
  7. Much needed quick inning for Christopher.
  8. Sale going to throw a 300 pitch cg.
  9. QUOTE (Señor Ding-Dong @ Apr 11, 2014 -> 06:54 PM) This really took the wind out of the early season excitement sails for me. But we got the W yesterday, so hopefully we can keep hovering around .500. I wouldn't be surprised if Danks forces De Aza to be the 4th OF in due time. I'd be shocked if that happens.
  10. Carrasco was pretty nasty that inning, pretty decent job by our hitters outside of Marcus to battle with him.
  11. Chris decided he was too good and needed a challenge, no big deal.
  12. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 11, 2014 -> 03:46 PM) They're about to talk about Abreu on MLB Now on MLBN. They say he's good.
  13. QUOTE (TRU @ Apr 11, 2014 -> 12:04 PM) I don't see any way that Undertaker was not involved in the decision to end the streak. Further more, I don't believe that the official didn't know the finish. You're telling me that when his arm got to two and a half he was like "I guess this guy isn't going to kick out" and in that split second ended the match even though going into it he was told Undertaker was to win the match? I absolutely agree with this too. The ending was so shocking that it's bringing out all these crazy conspiracy theories.
  14. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 11, 2014 -> 10:02 AM) The tragedy of Garcia is it sets the sox back a full year in identifying whether he is going to be a future starter or not. Garcia loses a year of development and working out the kinks. Absolutely. On the other hand we now have a full make or break year for Dayan.
  15. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 11, 2014 -> 01:05 AM) What do you mean about DDP? He basically saved the lives of Scott Hall and Jake Roberts. Long story short, brought both of them into his home and helped get them sober when they were both basically goners. There's obviously more to it if you want to google the whole story but that's a real quick summary.
  16. Ya this is excellent stuff per usual.
  17. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 10, 2014 -> 10:07 PM) Holy f***. Going from watching the Sox game to in this thread with no knowledge of what's going on has been fantastic with your last 2 posts.
  18. If we make the playoffs do we play our home games in Cuba?
  19. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Apr 10, 2014 -> 10:03 PM) If Danks can eliminate his tough innings he'll be ok. If his arm doesn't loosen up and his velocity stays where it's at this might be what he is. Obviously he wouldn't be living up to his contract but it's also not the worst thing in the world as he's still a valuable pitcher.
  20. Webb might be too good to be the closer at the moment if that makes sense.
  21. Cotts-Politte-Jenks to close this out.
  22. What's nice about Abreu is he was really scuffling for a few games and was able to get himself out of it pretty quickly and go on a tear right after.
  23. Seems like there were some defensive issues behind Danish but he also struck out 5 in 3 innings. Have we had any reports on his velocity so far this year?
