  1. He's coming in August........ Did I forget the in my last post? my bad i cant read tonite.... was at a party eariler today.... and well....those were some killer margaritas....... Shoulda figured alcohol was involved. LOL
  2. Crowd looked decent enough to me. The Futures Game has never sold out, as far as I know. This was my 3rd one. Crowd seemed bigger then last years, IMO. And those that were there were into it. The Celeb game was fun, too. Some really funny moments with Bo. Standing O's to most of the players. Classy crowd there. I'm sure tomorrow there will be some assholes booing. I would have really enjoyed that game.
  3. ill watch... and no i cant recall more than one design cut in the grass at a time......well not since the last time we hosted the all star game.... My understanding is that Roger Bossard never varies his design cut like other teams do. So anything is different from the normal striping. true, he does not vary the cut in the grass.....im sure hes having a b**** fit right about now... .. hes very protective of his field and particular about how it looks........ I'm sure he knew that MLB would provide a design for him, so he has prepped himself for it. I do know that he is very good. Just kinda vanilla compared to some of the newer groundskeepers these days.

  11. watch Sportscenter and you will......... Have you ever seen more than one design cut into the Sox field??
  12. Hey, the concept of this thread was to help young BigHurt have a pleasurable trip to the Windy City, not have you harass me over my selection of an occasional beer. Let's stick to the subject, k??
  13. So what did you think about the new cut in the grass that MLB brought in?
  14. You trying to tarnish my sterling reputation?? Did I forget to call and wish you sweet dreams last night?
  15. That is not why I like it......... is it why you DON'T
  16. Rex Hudler replied to aboz56's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I think he might have been fired if the Sox lost both games yesterday and/or lost today. They finished the roadtrip 3-7 or 4-7?
  17. The highest the Cell Gun was showing Cotts at was 87. I think it was a bit slow, but not as slow as ESPN's made it out to be. I got kind of curious when Nagoette was only hitting 92 or so. Ring did not hit 90 at the Cell, I think his highest fastball was 85 or 86. He was nowhere near 90, IMO. So thie big question is......... Which is right or more accurate? Cotts hit 88 a lot and got to 90 or above 4 or 5 times. Ring was consistently at 90 on the few fastballs he threw. The readings I have seen this year were more 87-88 for both.
  18. Cerb, read back a few posts. I asked about Cotts radar gun readings. I think you missed that one..
  19. I noticed that recently. Did you see him with his hat off? He definitely is sporting some curly locks.
  20. Cerb, what is the highest you saw Cotts register on the gun? The TV gun showed him at 92 once or twice and 90, 3 or 4 other times. I have generally seen him in the 87-89 range, but I know there are variations in different guns. Also, Ring hit 90 mph 3 or 4 times in the two batters he faced, so I am wondering if the TV gun was a couple miles an hour fast.
  21. Cotts is the kind of pitcher you will appreciate much more after watching him several times. He only threw one inning today and the hitters battled very hard, fouling many balls off. The RBI single was on a great pitch (actually a ball) down and away. He can look shaky one inning and then you look up and it is the 5th inning and he hasn't allowed another hit. He is by no means overpowering, but no one ever claimed him to be.
  22. Can't argue with that list at all.... Pacheco could be a dark horse candidate, that is if the Rangers don't take him from us.
  23. They do need to give him a good look, because I believe he would be a free agent again next year if they don't put him on the 40-man roster.
  24. It won't be Loaiza leading it off if he pitches Tuesday night.
