I just can't believe people are still putting stock in spring training games. They pretty much just are there so pitchers can get prepared for the season and to make the final 25 man roster decisions. Wins or losses mean nothing. Bad pitching performances mean nothing. Especially the first game. And I wouldn't be surprised if Colon bombs on Sunday. He has said he didn't pitch to his fullest on purpose in the intrasquad game and is easing into it. Just a warning before people go crazy. He might pitch well but either way I don't really care.

Go to Whitesox.com for a box score.... I can't believe people are worrying about our pitching because of this one game. Am I the only one who remembers last year? Everyone sucked in spring training. Our team ERA was in the 7s. Buehrle had an ERA in the 7s. Wright had an ERA in the 8s. Wake up people. Our pitching will be there when the season starts.

Well Whitesox.com has a little info but basically it only says Koch,Colon,Buehrle and Garland pitched, everyone is healthy and Daubach and Miles were impressive.

http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/audio/gd..._2003/index.jsp On any given game there should be either a broadcast from ESPN radio or the opposing teams radio network so you can basically listen to all the games.
-
And also of a prospect that they have already reviewed.
-
What high school is that?

March 15 vs Milwaukee will be on WGN TV March 14 vs Cubs will be on Fox Sports Net I'd just MLB.com radio to listen to games. THey had most of them last year and it is free to listen.

I went last year to the Cubs/Sox game at Wrigley where Caballo had those 2 big home runs. It was great. I've got tickets again this year at Wrigley.
-
Well Adkins did have a 3.69 ERA in 7 starts starts in Charlotte
-
He must not like him too much because at Soxfest he refered to him as Byung-Hyung Kim...or maybe he was just dreaming. Anyways, I'm just as confused as you. Baggio is probably right. Notice how Neal Cotts is there too.

WOW people at Soxtalk.com like Hawk and DJ! Seems like everyone at WSI and appearantly whitesox.com think they are terrible. Obviously by my username you can tell I love listening to them. They do have great knowledge and are entertaining too. Just very fun and easy to listen to. Some people knock how they are "homers" but I like how it feels that they are not only announcing the game but truley rooting for the Sox...something other broadcasting teams don't really give the feeling of. One of the greatest moments of 2001 for me was getting 2 of my e-mails read on air

Who is your favorite White Sox player?
HawkDJ replied to WhiteSoxPride3035's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Tough to say...I like them all. I really like Billy Koch but he hasn't played a game even in a Sox uniform so I can't really vote for him. I love his attitude and intensity though. Same goes for Colon. Olivo is my favorite prospect..but hes still a prospect in my mind. I went with Maggs since he is such a great player and is not outspoken about it like a certain right fielder in Chicago. He just plays and doesn't care if he is famous or not. -
We can always look forward to spring training games starting in 10 days. Not as good as the regular season but it will releive some of that anxiety.
-
I think D'angelo Jimenez needs to be on that list considering he will probably be our leadoff hitter and isn't exactly proven. Him and Frank I'd say are the 2 biggest. Garland is another one.

Oh yes...that's the Giant Drop. As for Shockwave.....When Six Flags decided to build this new roller coaster (superman) they had to chose a ride to tear down because appearantly they didn't have space for a new one. They announced the Whizzer would be torn down only to get a number of phone calls and letters complaining. So they then decided to tear down Shockwave which not many people cared about.
-
Yeah except they don't have the Shockwave anymore and I'm not sure waht "tower of terror" is. That's Disneyworld.
-
If you don't yet know, Six Flags Great America announced their latest coaster Superman: Ultimate Flight a while ago which will be a flying (lay-down) coaster. If you're not familiar with flying coasters well basically you start off laying on your back and then most of the ride you are flipped upside down so you are on technically lying on your stomach but there is nothing underneath you besides the ground. SHould be a fun ride but it doesn't have a whole lot too it if it weren't for the fact that you are laying down. Just wanted to post some construction updates if there are any other big coaster freaks out there like me.

How can Bonds be #5? When you have an on-base percentage of .582 you better at least be in the top 3. Maggs, Pujols, Soriano,Giambi and Helton are all very close.

Miguel is my favorite prospect in the organization. I think he's going to surpirse alot of people this year at how polished he actually is. I am a little worried about the jump from AA to the bigs but I think he can handle it.
