Yeah but I'm sure we've sold plenty of season tickets this year since the lower deck section for season ticket holders is already sold out and the club level is now season ticket only. I can't imagine the amount of money we are bringing in from this All Star Game.
-
Good thing the Sox didn't sign him (not like they were going to).
-
I'd say its a good move. His numbers won't impress you from last year but keep in mind he pitched for Colorado for most of the season. These numbers from last year in St. Louis are good: 3-1 0.82 ERA. He is another veteran arm for the bullpen which can't hurt. Someone else pointed out it is another arm when (not if) Gordon gets injured.

Am I the only one that doesn't really want I-rod?

omfg that was too funny..............carlos the lawn jockey........ hey hawk dont have to worry about joe anymore he left us in that trade.....and poor hummel will never get a spot on the team with harris and jiminez hanging around.....well unless they use harris in cf and put jiminez as ss in place of jose.......poor guy will end up like miles... never belonging anywhere but in minor ball.......... That's why I brought it up.

Joe Valentine #6?

Read all about it.. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...s_cws&fext=.jsp An important part is that Colon says he feels "Alot lighter than last year" KW: "He looks good to me."
-
Well it would be useful if Olivo was the catcher. He could work as a translator as well.
-
I think its just because he hasn't proved himself yet, he is still a prospect. But either way I like this trade. A good catcher prospect is more valuable to me than a reliever. Relievers are easily replaced.
-
The David Wells trade should be considered neutral. Neither the Sox nor Blue Jays have any remains of the trade. Neither team gained anything in the trade.
-
Well he also trained for the Dominican league and pitched 5 innings before the Expos shut him down so I'm thinking he didn't just sit around and eat for 2 months.
-
KW says he looks the same as he did last year and he has no health problems. But of course thats just KW speaking. Check out this photo from him in the US vs. Japan games. That was November 17 so just over 2 months ago.

I just got a mailing from the White Sox about the 2003 ticket plan and I find out that club level is now for FULL season ticket owners only. Thats right, as of now, you can't buy club level seats individually or with a 27 split season ticket plan. You need an 81 game ticket plan. I think this is ridiculous and once they see that there is barely anyone in club level they will start selling them individually. For some reason they list a price for individual club level seats but it is $40. Much more than any other area. I loved club level the last 2 years and now I guess I will have to sit somewhere else. :fyou

Think about how good Yao is doing now and then think about what he is going through. He is coming into a new country with a new culture and language. He played for team China before the season instead of going to training camp and of course he has to go through all the hype with the 2 billion or so people in China. I think Yao is going to be very good in a few years. This is a good rookie class with Yao, Caron Butler and Amare Staudimire. Williams and Wagner aren't doing terrible as well.

You seem to be almost disappointed that we got Colon because KW made a smart move.
-
No hes not a bust yet. Gotta give him more time still. But what they should've done was traded down for Butler when they had the chance. 10th pick?? Thats a steal. GO UCONN.
-
Maybe a little KW bootcamp during Spring Training?
-
Some stats about our rotation: -Only the Diamondbacks, Athletics and Red Sox have 2 pitchers with more wins in 2002 than the Sox. -Only the Giants have more 12 game winners in 2002 than the Sox. The Sox have 4 (Buehrle,Colon,Garland,Wright).
-
No, its not the only bad part. Colon is reported to being 270 pounds, 35 pounds overweight. Also Colon will more than likely be gone after this season so we better make it count. The trade is great but I'm just saying its not perfect. Good thing is we don't loose a whole lot. (only Biddle in my opinion).

I'm a fan of World Series Baseball.

As if anyone cares....The Uconn men basketball are now 8-0 and the Uconn women basketball are now 10-0. YEAH!!!

The Lofton era with the Sox gives me chills. He seemed to be taking lessons from Durham. "Always swing for the fences!" And how many times did he throw his bat and strikeout to end a game? too many.
-
I just got here. How should I know? It was worth a shot.

I asked over at WSI and nobody had it but I thought I'd try here too. If you do please post your gamertag. Thanks.

Husky: Samoyed: I see your point.
