well worth it would be free On a side note though. 14.95 is a good price ...looks like they just upped the price to $19.95 for the season....still a pretty good deal...

How many multi-home run games do you think...
DaSoxRox replied to BridgeportHeather's topic in Pale Hose Talk
...the exact number I figure Maggs will hit this year although my gut says he'll have 3-4 multi-hr games.... ...as for Frank, I HOPE he doesn't hit 48 homers, cause I think he will be more productive and achieve a higher avg and obp hittin line drives all over the f***ing place hitting .335 and having a nice 32, 125 year... ...but of course if he ends up .335 WITH 48 dingers, I WON'T f***ING COMPLAIN!! -
So what the hell is the Hak part? A second first name, a middle name or the beginning of his last name? Why the hell can't they make life easier for us?

Thanx for the update Yep, the great pitching is showing up these last couple of days, but the offense has been quiet, aside from some solo hrs. Looks like Gordon got hammered in the 8th, we're down 5-3.....

I like guys like Miles. I always liked Craig Grebeck and John Cangelosi when they were with the Sox. The little guys that just hustle their asses off. He's the type of kid who is probably really good in every f***ing sport he plays...I love these kids, because they always had to fight a little harder than everybody else to show what they got because of their size...I'd love to see him make it....

Gulp. Who wrote that? Haven't seen the article, but it wouldn't suprise me if Scot Gregor wrote it....he can be a bit optimistic at times....25 wins in 33/34 starts would be one helleva accomplishment...can happen, but I think realistically the best we can hope for is a solid 20... ....lets not go crazy... Yep, it was Gregor. I'll tell you though, he was DAMN impressive yesterday, and if actually has developed a change that he can throw 3-2, holy s***....we could be in for something really special this year....

My feeling is that the deal won't happen....the Sox definately decided to give it one final shot, but I think the two camps are too far apart...I think the the problem is that the Sox take an historical perspective on how they've dealt with these issues in the past and are looking at the long-term organization strategy the want to maintain while Jeff Berry, Buerhle's agent is looking at what others organizations are paying players now.... ...I heard that they have turned down a 3 year, $9mil offer from the Sox and that the Sox may sweeten the pot before Tuesday....don't know if it will be enough... ...let's hope it is...

Yeah, that long lefty relief spot is definately going to be a nice battle to watch...I'm just giving the edge to Wunsch because of his experience and they may want to give Munoz some innings at Charlotte to see how he handles himself there....will be interesting...

....and isn't Miles kicking ass so for this spring? ...seems like every day, he's getting a couple of hits, scoring a run or two.....where do you think he'll end up playing this year? G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI TB SB CS SF SH HBP SLG AVG 9 19 5 8 1 0 1 4 12 0 1 1 0 0 .632 .421 ...nice start so far....

You can never have too many good pitchers. We've already got one guy hurting (Wright). Seems to be minor, but at this point who knows? Yeah, I totally agree, you can NEVER have too many good pitchers....but, it does keep me wondering: Who will be the 11 or 12 JM takes up north? Looks to me like these guys are definate: Colon, Buerhle, Garland, Wright, Marte, Wunsch, Koch, White and Gordon.....that's 9. Assuming no injuries to the above, who would be the remaining 2 or 3 between Loaiza, Heredia, Rauch, Munoz, Porzio, Almonte, Diaz, Ginter, Glover, Adkins, Stewart, Malone and Sanders? For what its worth, I think Loaiza or Rauch, Glover are the most likely, with Munoz (the additional lefty) possibly the other.... thoughts?

Yeah, I guess they really want to rest Damaso....my guess is he'll start to get some work in next week... I think Sportsline is probably the best, generally speaking, for updates....i find it better than cnnsi, foxsports, or espn....they seem to be the quickest...

Well, since he's breaking the height barrier for pitchers, we'll have to wait and see how a 6'11 guy can fare in the majors. Hopefully for the Sox (and us) he will pass with flying colors. Yeah, he still hasn't proven that he can win at this level....his control, is a concern, in my opinion, and I wonder if they are tinkering with his release point trying to get him to throw more strikes.... It will definately be interesting to see over the next few weeks....Rauch will need to put up some solid innings to over take Loaiza or Heredia....it just seems like JM is making alot of comments over the past couple of days about the advantages of being a veteran....ect, ect....somehow, if feel Rauch has to almost beat these guys by a wide margin to get the spot....
-
Fair enough. Hey, we're all Sox fans, so we're supporting the same cause. in '03 Absolutely. No harm done. Still 2-2....how the hell do we get any info on this f***ing game....all I can get is updates on the score....sigh.... Seems as if Buerhle pitched pretty well....any idea who else is pitching?

Nah, you're actually wrong for once (was that sarcastic enough for ya?). And what does Taco Bell and baseball have to do with violence against little girls anyway? Someone's stretching things a bit too far. And I will take your verbal attacks as a sign of an inner weakness, and I will not hold it against you. You simply cannot help yourself, and I understand completely. See? And this is how is goes....once a person (especially on a board, as opposed in a bar, for instance where we can look each other in the face) makes a sarcastic comment about someone's personal situation (which I was asked by a specific individual), the "obvious sarcastic comment" by one person can be misconstrued....and unfortunately, cause unnecessary bitterness, and yes, verbal attacks... You can call it a weakness, I guess, your right, my 'asshole" comment should have been held back, but...I guess that's what could happen when your bust on a person and they can't see your kidding....it can get out of hand.... ...let's move on...and learn.....

Not obvious.... Something that certainly is obvious is your inability to distinguish a joke from a serious statement. Guess $350k can't buy common sense, now can it? Oh yeah, and my guess is, is that you were the little asshole kid who after pushing the little girl down in the playground, you told the principal that it was JUST A JOKE!....and WHY DIDN'T SHE GET IT??? Asshole.

Not obvious.... Something that certainly is obvious is your inability to distinguish a joke from a serious statement. Guess $350k can't buy common sense, now can it? Nice. Excellent response. The only reason I responded to your nasty little comment was that it actually LACKED even a subtle hint of sarcasm....now, to you, the writer, it seemed obvious....unfortunately, to me, it wasn't....sorry for the misunderstanding.....
-
Not obvious.... That's why we use green. It makes it obvious that way. Cool....noted for the future....hey, by the way, did you notice that the Sox are not listed on the MLB audio page today? Appears they're down 2-1, but it sucks that we can't listen to the game....kinda gettin spoiled by the access over the web sofar this spring......
-
WTF? That is unacceptable. I'd never let my girl take me away from baseball. She can work at Taco Bell for min wage before that happens . Whipped..... Whipped? Hmmmm....let's see......350,000 a year or a job in taco bell.....hmmmm.....gee, fellas, I guess your right, that WOULD be a better scenario for my family ( 2 teenagers) for my wife to give up her career of 20 years for a job at taco bell.....I mean, I wouldn't be acting at all selfish, now would I? (Or, my I add, completely stupid....) Boys, when you grow up, sometimes life requires you to do things that you don't necessarily want to do....ie: leave chicago....but, come on....I challenge both of you to the above scenario and ask what you would do..... And if you both said, f*** the money, I love my SOX!....than I commend you both....for your loyalty and your absolute disregard for your childrens future.... GO SOX!!!!

Nice to see both Loaiza and Heredia come back with good outings....next up is Rauch....
-
Is Borchard a true CF? How would you rate his defensive abilities to Rowand?
-
...how did Loaiza pitch?...didn't catch the game until the 7th...
-
Rowand Hits Another Bump in the Road I don't know, but after the bike accident over the winter, now this sliced finger to deal with....AND the early emergence of JoeyB, Aaron has to be wondering what the hell else will go wrong.... Let's hope the hand heals quick and he's out there battling for the spot 100% by the weekend...

yea he did these guys need to lay off the crack. i hate these annoucers. ....sigh.....these guys are pathetic....talking about their experiences from the 50's and how Yogi Berra was not a very good communicator......whatttttt???? ...I guess folks in s. cal don't really give a s*** about lousy announcers.....
