  1. JPaul did it again and GOT THE HATTRICK!!! 3 AB's, 3 K's....this time with the bases loaded....I think he's personally left 7 guys on and its only the 6th!!!!!

    Pepsi lids.

I couldnt even tell you where DePaul is until you told me... Depaul is in Chicago?? learn something new everyday Where's Chicago?
  3. First time I've had the chance to listen to the bozo's on Sox n Roll.....WHEN DO I GET INVITED OVER ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These guys are great!!!!!!!
  4. He can sit on his ass and watch Lee and Rowand play and maybe get 5 AB's a week, or he can work on his swing and improve on his ability to HIT THE BALL when he swings the bat by taking 25 AB's a week against AAA pitching...there's no reason to rush him up when he's gonna spend most of his time on the pine.....

    Harris/Miles

Yeah, I forgot about that....saw him clutch his left hammy rounding first....didn't look that bad, but you never know with those hamstrings...it cold be a true blessing in disguise.... As for Porzio, although I don't think much of him, he looked pretty decent in his one inning....I think he struck out 2 of the 3 batters (actually, scrubs) he faced with some decent heat....had nothing bad to say about his performance yesterday....that said, he will be pitching in AAA this April....
  6. What are you talking about? They have tons of teams! The city that NEEDS a professional team is Las Vegas. The most exciting city in the US, and they don't have a team? That's absurd. can you imagine if vegas had a team when pete rose was still in baseball What about this scenario.....Selig decides to resinstate Rose.....they move the Expos to Vegas....call them the Vegas Gamblers or some s***....and oh yeah, and the new org decides to give the managers job to Pete...now THAT would be something.....

    Harris/Miles

Quote: "If we're going with 11 and 2, I'd have to give the slot to Miles based on what's happened so far, and Harris can go work on his OBP in AAA." Clujer, If you or I were manager, we would both select Miles based on his spring....he is continuing where he left off and his stock is rising....however, I stand by what I said before....JM, for some reason, likes Harris and his ability to spot Rowand in cf as well as play a solid 2B....I would be pleasantly shocked if he was sent down instead of Miles.... ...and if your definition of Shoe-in includes Olivo, then you've got to include Graffy, Daubach, Loaiza and Wunsch.....imo

    Harris/Miles

Regardless of how well Aaron performs during st, I think he's definately heading back down....but not without opening up the eyes to lotsa folks in the organization...I would not be suprised if we see him called up if injuries occur or Jiminez is hitting Clayton-like.... The organization likes Harris because of his versatility (ability to play 2b and cf) and his speed....he's a shoein to make the team....imo
  9. Rauch will not be coming up north right away....he will definately be going to Charlotte to pitch against AAA-level hitters and get his control in order...... I think they are seriously considering Stewart as the #5 if Wright's not ready to go....
  10. Gordon had a real wicked hook today....these 3 scrubs who faced him had no chance....Hawk was pumped talking about Marte, Gordon and Koch....the fact that we have three guys who could be the closer on any team... Looked as if Harris pulled his left hammy....he grabbed it running around first base.....ok, HSC, MIles just might get his chance...
  11. Geez, JoeyB's gotta beautiful swing....especially when it results in the ball going 400 ft......
  12. I love how the camara dudes are panning into the crowd looking for the chick with the biggest tits.....then, sliding the camara back onto the playing field.....nice....looks like there getting their st work in as well.....
  13. JM said during the game (from the dugout) when questioned about whether he'll bring up 11 or 12 pitchers, that good staffs only need 11 pitchers and we're a good staff.....that said, I wonder if the earlier comments about Glover being a lock all but shut Porzio out.....just a thought....
  14. Hawk just mentioned that his "metabolism usually kicks in around Feb 1, but he so psyched about this year that his metabolism kicked in just after the New Year".........what????????????????
  15. Actually, the Hawk was mentioning that Loaiza's fastball will peek at around 86-87 and he's lost a bit of velocity over the years, however, he was saying that his fastball is"sneaky fast", because of all the offspeed s*** he throws....mentioned that the batters can't tee up on his fastball because he's not throwing that often....
  16. He just LOOKS like a veteran pitcher....in complete command of his pitches...changing speeds, moving the ball around...making the Scrubbies look uncomfortable up there....
  17. Loaiza seems to be in total command of his pitches...he's got great control and he seems to be having alot of movement on his fastball....this is good....
  18. They were talking to JM in the dugout during the game and he mentioned the possibility of Loaiza being the #4 and Wright, if he can pitch 65-70 innings being the 5th and being brought back slowly...the way he sounded, and the way Loaiza's pitching today (just watched him throw his 6th K here in the 5th), he's almost a lock....if Wright is NOT ready, then I think were looking at Heredia or Stewart.....Rauch will be starting the year in AAA...
  19. This is amazing...I'm sittin in Central London watching my beloved Sox on the goddamn computer....thank you broadband!!!!!
  20. Uh, fella's....I think we found our fourth starter....Loaiza looks f***ing sharp.....
  21. I went with Stewart as well.....thw way Heredia talked after the game it looks as if the handwriting is already on the wall....he was making comments like..."I'll possibly have one more start, if it works out, it works out. But I'm not going to beg and dwell." He then joked he might start throwing a knuckleball. "I can still smile about all this," he said....doesn't sound like a guy with a whole lot of confidence about his chances... Rauch? here's his comments after his subpar performance: "I threw horrible," he said. "I couldn't locate. I kept walking guys. It's frustrating." ...my guess is he's a lock for AAA... Therefore, its Wright or Stewart or ????....maybe a KW pickup if he finds a guy cheap/desperate enough for a job.... Isn't that an accurate description of Heredia? Yep, your right....except I think what KW and the rest of us are quickly figuring out....he's not ready, or he's finished.....either way, it doesn't do us any damn good....
  22. You know, as crazy as that sounds, it could happen....I remember when the NHL decided to approve a new franchise in New Jersey, everybody wondered how they could possibly put 19K+ in the Meadowlands every night, but they did it....there's such a huge f***ing fan base in Jersey who are very hesitant to venture into the city to see a baseball game...(it is the South Bronx, mind you)...who knows, there might actually be something to this......
  23. 24. Without a doubt....our biggest concerns are right up the middle....catcher, 2b and cf....I got this feeling we're going to see alot of Harris this year (ouch)and alot more JPaul as well (double ouch)....all the early talk about Olivo (maybe he's not ready to hit at this level yet), Jiminez (ditto), and Aaron might have been a bit optimistically premature....let's f***ing hope not...
  25. Seeing a game like that makes you wonder what in hell JK will do this offseason......sigh.....I mean, we still have 20 games or so to go with this lineup, but JC might be a better fit with Rose....but I just don't think JK will ever part with his coveted #1 so fast.....no way...he holds on to his picks like no other GM in the game. ....and I question those that are saying that Curry is "really starting to gain some confidence"....s***, I think the reason Curry's numbers are starting to become impressive is because BC is actually playing him some decent minutes (as well as TC) instead of pulling him after 3 f***ing minutes because he missed a defensive assignment....I mean, maybe BC finally realized that WE AREN'T GOING TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS SO MAYBE I SHOULD JUST SEE HOW THESE KIDS PLAY WITH SIZEABLE MINUTES!!!!!!!! Let's see if the Bulls can actually put together 2 solid outings in a row tonight in Memphis....
