QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 10:03 PM) This has looked like early 90s Frank. I hope he can get healthy enough to play everyday. It would be great for him to play everyday. It looks as if he is really seeing the ball well and hitting with a hell of a lot of power.

Let Carl be Carl. He may seem...okay he is a little weird, but let him be Crazy Carl

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 09:54 PM) I hate Frank Thomas! I hate Timo Perez! Wait, that shouldn't be in green.

QUOTE(nvxplorer @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 09:54 PM) Columnists get paid to write, not think. I don't put much stock in their opinions. That is very true.

If it aint(and yes i did spell aint right for once) broke don't fix it. Neal is fine, so we should just let him do his thing.

And some coulmnists said that we should trade him. Do you think they still think that now?
-
He finally has the confidence now to become a dependalbe reliever. We should not mess with where we put him. Just leave him there.

Frank is going to be a big part of this team's success. If he keeps up his hitting, it is going to help this team tremendously.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 04:02 PM) Oh no, you musn't forget Ozzie's hard-on for Marte and Vizcaino! I thought he only had one for Timo? Ozzie's got some side action. Timo's gonna be super pissed.

QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 06:02 PM) Neal has been a real success story this year. It bodes well for the future. As for Shingo I think Shingo=fragile psyche. He struggled and lost confidence. But, the last few games I think he is regaining some of that and may be on his way to straightening himself out. Hopefully he has regained some confidence and that's why he is pitching well.

QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 03:08 PM) Just did a fantasy draft yesterday and set up my dynasty. Roster looks like this. C: Barajas(Might try to move him) 1B: Morneau 2B: Sean Burroughs 3B: Teixiera SS: Brian Roberts LF: Aubrey Huff CF: Randy Winn RF: Vlad Guerrero Bench: Jeremy Reed Keith Ginter Robb Quinlan Chris Gomez M. Ghafouri (Highly Rated Young Catcher) Rotation and Pen: Peavy Harden Vazquez Garland B. Meyers JC Romero Hermanson Ray King Rafael Soriano Eddie Guardado Guillermo Mota Joe Nathan This was all straight off the draft, no trades or anything yet. Any thoughts? Trade suggestions? How long did it take you to do the entire mlb draft. I always wanted to do it, but I got sick of it after the 8th round.

If I could change it to make it right I would. But I can't so I'm stuck with it. -

QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 04:32 PM) The red sox have no need for crede and even less with tracey. So in other words... no. But if that was what they wanted in order for the trade to happen, why no do it. Let them worry about their needs, not us. -
He and Viz were both decent last night and as of lately.

QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 03:17 PM) Nothing he said there makes me squeamish. He's pretty much correct on everything he said in the Maxim article. I love the way all the PC media idiots are outraged over his recent comments! LOL! Carl isn't crazy. Carl rules. But Crazy Carl is a cool nickname.

QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 03:12 PM) Is there a reference to the moon in the bible? If not, I'm pretty sure Carl doesn't believe the moon exists either. I don't think he does.
-
QUOTE(nvxplorer @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 03:10 PM) I wouldn't put too much faith in conpiracy theories. First of all, we landed on the moon several times. If it was going to be faked, why would we fake it over and over? It doesn't make sense. If they were going to fake it, they would have done so once, and be done with it. Secondly, where did the capsule/module go? It obviously went TO the moon. Every advanced nation at the time was capable of tracking the capsule. The radio transmissions are trackable. If there were no transmissions coming from the moon, but we were pretending there were, the Soviet Union would have called us on that immediately. Therefore, if we did go to the moon, why would we not have landed? That also makes no sense. I'm just talking about the Race to the Moon with Russia or the Soviet Union or whatever they were called back then.
-
QUOTE(nvxplorer @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 03:02 PM) Yes, it looked like the moon to me. Of course, never having seen the moon, I didn't know what the moon should look like up close. The earth in the distance was a definite clincher, though. Also, the idea that it would be faked doesn't make sense. The USA was in a race with the USSR at the time, and the Soviets would have discredited the mission if they could prove it. If the Soviet Union had no evidence to do so, there's no reason to believe the various conspiracy theorists do. It's impossible to judge by the quality of video. On top of that, it was obvious that there was much less gravity. I would have to conclude that the government had the ability to alter the earth's gravity, and chose to do so rather than actually go to the moon, a technology which everyone knows existed. It just doesn't make sense that it was fake. I was watching some documenteries on the moon landing being fake, and i looked at some pictures of the moon landing and listened to their explanations and it seemed like they were right. Im not trying to say that we never went there, but the evidence against it is there.
