Is anyone staying in the White Sox "haunted hotel"?

QUOTE (mreye @ Apr 17, 2009 -> 08:39 AM) Do the visiting teams pick their own hotels or do the home teams "provide" one? By "provide" I mean the visiting team still pays, but the home team selects. If the Rays pick the hotel, I think this is a brilliant strategy - get Ghost Hunters to come out and declare the place haunted, etc. Before anyone responds with a definite answer, I think you should sit back and think of reasons why a professional sports team would allow the opposing team to pick their hotel when they have a staff of several people whose job it is just to select hotels and rooms in hotels. -
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 01:38 PM) I'll tell you this, his swing is better today than it was 4 years ago when he was raking in Bham, etc. His swing was always horrendous but back than he could get away with it. Against major leaguers he has no chance, none. Ah yes, that swing where somehow his back leg stepped through the box in his follow through.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 01:36 PM) I wish we could of convinced Beane to take Anderson over Sweeney. I would rather have no power from Sweeney and a constant line drive swing than the group of fail we have that are candidates for CF right now. I cosign on that. Pretty sure we would have had to send 42 virgin hookers with BA to compensate for the talent downgrade.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 01:31 PM) BA is a fastball hitter. In Arizona, breaking pitches don't have the same depth that they do here. He can cheat a bit more, and look fastball. He has never figured out how to address pitches that move. His approach was so much different. That little move that he makes now to bend down while the pitcher is in his windup is something he didnt do back then. That hitch is awful for him.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 01:16 PM) Atlanta tried to convince the speedy small Lillibridge that he wasn't a power hitter and to put the ball on the ground and run like hell. For some reason, he thinks he is a mini-power hitter. If he ever gives that up, and tries to use his tools he might be worth something. Maybe we can have him do pushups everytime he lifts a lazy fly ball. He pops up everything that is away. Thats never going to work at the major league level.
