  1. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 12:50 PM) I just wish we had an offensively competent utility player. Looking at what Lillibridge did in his brief stint in the majors last year is just scary, I don't think he knows what kind of hitter he is. Low contact, high FB%, almost non-existent LD% and his K rate was dreadful at both levels, he has the peripherals of a power hitter but the body and ability of a slap hitter. I dont understand why he doesnt get a bat much smaller than the one he has and scoot up on top of the plate. He should be checking out how Polanco hits and try to copy that. He needs to wait until the pitch is deep and then swing a small, light bat at the ball.
  2. Gerald Laird tips pitches. He has trouble giving the "3" sign and has to bend his elbow a certain way to do it.
  3. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 12:38 PM) He definitely does not look like pure muscle right now. He is a tremendous athlete and is in great shape, but continue with your health assessment.
  4. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 12:37 PM) I agree. I think it would help him. LOL, how many 3B in the league beat out that play?
  5. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 12:36 PM) Nice play on Fields.. but he needs to lose 15 pounds. He was chugging on that triple, and should have beat out that long throw. and losing 15 lbs of muscle will get him there? Thats makes no sense. There is maybe 1 or 2 players on our team that can beat that throw and expecting your 3B to be one of them is pretty unrealistic.
  6. Strike zone has grown since the first inning. First pitch on Josh was a ball in the 1st and second.
  7. QUOTE (north side chi sox fan @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 12:30 PM) Is it me or has BA been talking a lot of walks? Spring training and last few games.... He should take walks and strikeout looking alot more than he actually does. He has one of the smaller hitting zones on the team and needs to wait for the pitches to get there. Lilli missees the hit and run.
  8. everyone is scared of BA, he needs to start taking second on first movement.
  9. If the Count get that side arm 2-seemer on the outside corner he will have a good game.
  10. The decline of Roid Hafner should be a bigger issue than it is in the media. He seems to get a free pass for whatever reason.
  11. I would have rather had Delwyn Young or Felix Pie.
  12. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 14, 2009 -> 12:47 PM) And I can almost guaran-damn-tee you that Ozzie will use Pods in CF over BA most of the time now. Ok, guarantee it then. I'm up for a wager.
  13. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Apr 13, 2009 -> 12:28 PM) As a Steelers fan, I love seeing the joke of a franchise that Cleveland has become since rejoining the league. However, as a Texas Tech fan, I'm terrified of Crabtree ending up in Cleveland. Well, the real Browns are in Baltimore anyway.
  14. Actually no. Hawk is much better with Stone next to him. Both the radio duo and the Tv duo have improved tremendously this offseason.
  15. Heres to hoping he just plays a backup role. BA needs his shot. Also, I wish Kroger would have been called up, at least he can hit.
  16. I think Twins fans have seen a bit of how much Crede has eroded in the past few years.
  17. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 12, 2009 -> 12:38 PM) I'd love Braylon on the Bears, but we don't have a 1st round pick to deal. /Michigan homer Not even, I would take him in a heartbeat. No homerism needed.
  18. QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 12, 2009 -> 03:43 AM) Anyone see the NCAA final? Miami-Ohio was up 3-1 with 59 seconds. 59 seconds later, it was 3-3 and then Boston U. scored in OT to win. Wouldve been Miami-Ohio's first NCAA title in any sport I believe. Yes I did. And its Miami University, not Miami-Ohio. It was a top school before Florida was even a state.
