  1. Yeah, I think the G35 has traction control. And like I said, even though I love AWD, I really only used it maybe 4-8 days this winter.
  2. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 05:01 PM) With salt, that nasty blck snow and lack of controll, I can't see any reason to drive a coupe in the snow. If you get something like that make sure you have something else to drive for the other 4-6 months of the year. I dont, but I also drive about maybe 300 miles a month. I walk or take the bus to and from work, the only time I drive is for pleasure, errands or small trips. I live right in the city. So far, only one guy with a rear wheel drive car?
  3. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 04:24 PM) If you love Lexus you could always go with an IS. Otherwise, I would suggest the G. Beautiful car, lots of gadgets and very quick. Be sure to get Navi with it Oh yeah, my car now is fully loaded and I couldnt have it any way. I love the IS, but if im going to get a car, its gotta be a coupe. SOmething about 4-doors makes me cringe. Im just nervous of the snow.
  4. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 03:33 PM) Rock, I like the choice of car. I would suggest that or the 350Z if you are looking for a sports car with kick that won't break down ala Mustang/Camaro/TA. I drive an RSX now and would gladly trade it in for either the Z or G35. Edit: Also not bad that the G is 290 HP stock. Cool. Im apprehensive about leaving the awesome value of my lexus, and of course the gadgets, but as far as jap cars go, im in love with the G
  5. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 03:17 PM) How is Floyd doing exactly? http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...&pid=425856 total team stats for the knights: http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...ue&sid=t494 To note: Jerry Owens 9k's 11BB
  6. QUOTE(Dan @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 03:13 PM) That Infiniti is a piece of s*** dont buy it. If you want something with nuts, look no further than a 2003-04 Mustang SVT Cobra. 390RWHP stock and modded it sees upwards 0f 6 bills. RWD is not as bad as you would expect, dont hammer it around corners or you'll spin out, anything above 3 inches of snow, its worthless. Bang for your buck the best is a 98-02 Trans Am or Camaro Z28/SS. No offense, but im not looking for the horrendous build quality of an american made muscle car. As evident by my current car, i dont want to be running 9's on the track.
  7. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 02:51 PM) 14 GS 81 IP 6.44 ERA 1.64 WHIP those were Buehrle's second half numbers. Josh Stewart or Felix Diaz would have pitched better. Meh, Diaz as a starter: 2-4 8.27 ERA He would have been worse.
  8. QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 02:20 PM) I used to have a Z-28 and it was absolutely terrible in the snow. It was rear wheel drive and had a pretty big V8. Im not sure what kind of car you were looking at but I had problems driving it in the snow but the longer I had it and more I got used to it, it wasnt by any means undriveable just more of an annoyance. I also had a Grand Am GT which was pretty quick, but it was a 6 and front wheel drive and I never had any problems with that in the snow. I have been looking at the infiniti g35 coupe.
  9. LIKE APPLES? As of Saturday, the two pitchers the Sox traded this offseason -- Freddy Garcia and Brandon McCarthy -- are a combined 1-4 with a 9.15 ERA. What the Sox got back in return on their 25-man roster is John Danks and Nick Masset, a combined 1-2 with a 4.67 ERA. But if you factor in the minor-league seasons of Gavin Floyd and Gio Gonzalez, who came in the Garcia trade, the four new Sox arms are a combined 5-3 with a 3.13 ERA.

    Car Discussion

So after having my new car for several months I have decided that its really not fast/sporty enough for my tastes. I have a Lexus SUV, and although its a really nice car, I need something with a little more balls. My question is: Does anyone in chicago drive a rear-wheel drive coupe or car, and what are your experiences with our weather? I have only owned SUV's with 4 wheel drive and I am a little apprehensive to move to a rear wheel drive car.
  11. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 21, 2007 -> 04:39 PM) He had a lot of questionable talent last year in the pen. Jeff Nelson, nuff said.
  12. QUOTE(WCSox @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 12:27 PM) Agreed that Ozzie isn't into developing younger players, but the 'pen had been used heavily over the past few days and they'd already won the series going into Sunday. Managers need to pick their spots and to give their best relievers a day off every now and then. Ozzie is pretty excellent at developing young pitchers though, especially bullpen guys.
  13. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 12:01 PM) I voted "No" mainly for this reason... It's a known possibility when one signs up, though tragic all the time. Well lets say one guy signs up to be an ice cream man, and a Lion eats him. Another guy signs up to be a lion tamer, and a lion eats him. Which one is more tragic and surprising?
  14. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 11:22 AM) The main thing I see is that Ozzie sets up young guys to fail, not succeed. Why else would he throw a young situational lefty out there against RH batters in an extra inning tie game? Because they (Oz/KW) wanted an excuse to send Logan down to AAA. Knight, come on. He has nothing but young guys in the pen and his handling of them has been masterful to say the least.
  15. Well, the obvious debate is that the VT students didnt sign up for possible death, the servicemen did.
  16. Watching the beginning of the show during the recap showed me a piece of foreshadowing I hadnt seen before. When they do a toast for the goodbye og Johnny, Paulie is clearly in the background foreshadowing his upcoming death.
  17. 2 out of 3 in detroit and there is this much b****ing. Yeah it shoudl have been a sweep, Thames put a really lucky swing on a fastball heading towards his hands and it was tied. The rest went on the offense. Masset pitched well agsin.
  18. PK is absolutely killing this team right now. He needs a rest or something. He sucks.
  19. I was at the game today, the refs were incredible bad, but for both teams. if Deng plays like this the whole time, we are golden. The kid is the next superstar in the uni.

  22. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 08:02 PM) You have your slow DH run on a flyball shallow. Oh and BTW, My uniform said Saint Xavier University, what did yours say. wnage?
  23. Man, I just had a great laugh with myself. Do you remember when we were counting on Jeff Nelson to pitch out of our pen? Jesus how far we have come with these kids.
