  1. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 03:06 PM) L - Sabathia GAME #1 W - Sowers GAME #3 L - Santana GAME #5 W - Kennedy GAME #8 L - Sabathia GAME #11 W - Robertson GAME #16 Key being games STARTED by a lefty. 3-3 Yes, but I was talking about the losing pitcher being a lefty. So we are both right.
  2. So im still in negotiations, we will see where it goes. Here is the link to the ride http://www.luxurymotors.com/inventory_deta...INITI+G35+COUPE
  3. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 02:38 PM) The Sox are 3-3 in games started by LHP. we have ONE win against a LHP (gooble) from what i heard.
  4. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 02:08 PM) Did you happen to mention the White Sox 10-8 record vs the Royals last season? All the Royals bashing was one thing that really bothered me. No, I complained about the soxtalk show. I cant say much else on the public forum.
  5. Perez would be ideal right now. Especially considering our record against LHP (1win)
  6. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 11:41 AM) I am sorry, but something needs to be done. There is no reason that ESPN HD should be blacked out on nights that WCIU has telecasts. This always happens, and I don't believe Comcast should have the right to blackout a better feed to show us a s***ty WCIU feed. I was so frustrated last night when I went to turn on the game and had to watch it on awful WCIU, when a gorgeous ESPN broadcast was out there... Also, what is up with Comcast Sportsnet's HD broadcast? It's awful compared to other stations. When ESPN shows highlights, I see NESN and YES and Fox Sports West or whatever all have gorgeous HD broadcasts... what gives, why can't they get their s*** right?? thoughts? Write a well composed email to Comcast Sportsnet chicago. I wrote a complaint email about another issue and it ended up in the president's hands.
  7. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 01:32 PM) the sock in cooperstown is from the WS game, so you cant really test the sock in question. Also considering the blood spot didnt change at all throughout the game in the ALCS, it was pretty obvious that something wasnt right with it. So obvious that you never said or thought something until now?
  8. They said the sperm counts are very high on the island and they had unprotected sex.
  9. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 11:42 AM) There really is no way to accurately come up with the White Sox rotation 2 or 3 years from now especially if you are doing it mostly with minor leaguers. So many things happen. True. But my best guess is that Gio and Danks will both be in the rotation in the next 2 years. Two nasty lefties.
  10. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 11:25 AM) Broadway, McCullough, Phillips, Haeger, Egbert, etc. I think most would agree they would profile as 4 starters at best, 5 most likely and career minor leaguers just as easily. That leaves Floyd, Gio, Danks and Russell to POSSIBLY take Buehrle's or Garland's place. Other than that, we have to trade (since we won't sign a FA pitcher) or convert Thornton, Sisco or Masset to a starter. Masset is a future guy in our rotation for sure. The guy has the stuff, makeup and size to be durable. Its possible our rotation a couple of years down the road will look like this: Gio Danks Masset Russell Fill in the blanks Eggy, Heath, Floyd etc
  11. QUOTE(quickman @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 11:13 AM) First nobody cared or even considered Russell until spring training. Jury is still out on him. GIO will be a bullpen guy. But we will see who makes it, most won't but I do agree they will keep GIO. Trouble I see, is most people here believe we have some great talent in the minors, which we really don't, we are a C grade minor league system, so I think we tend to over evaluate our system. Ryan Freel is a good outfielder with speed. Giving up our crappy minor league players won't cut it. need not worry about belaboring the point, they won't trade him anyway. Taking your minor-league negativity with a grain of salt, I disagree on the pitching in our system at this point. Gio has the ability and the stuff to be a top of the line starter to go along with Danks. Russell could be a sleeper, judging on his stuff he could be an adequate bottom of the rotation guy. And Freel could be traded now that they have the wonder kid who can play CF everyday. Gio's stats this season BTW 3-1 1.69 ERA .094 WHIP 21 IP 30k's 8 bb
  12. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 11:09 AM) Was Luis on the 40-man? no http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/team/roste...an.jsp?c_id=cws
  13. Terrero is coming up. I can forsee it.
  14. I have a great idea for a new sig, but I have zero talent in photoshop. If anyone can help me put something together I would appreciate it. PM me please.
  15. Danks was awesome IMO last night. his control hurt him in the 1st, but after that he looked great. His curve changed from a sweeper to lefties to a hammer to righties. Ive never seen him do that before and throw it for strikes. His straight change barely drops at all, that is almost impossible to judge as a hitter. This kid is going to be something.
  16. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 10:23 AM) Yeah, that was incredible. Now we have to figure out who would set that up, and why. Damn. I know people get frustrated at times by this show, but if you look at it from a big picture standpoint, I fully believe there is nothing better on TV now, well except the White Sox. Heroes is right there for me as well.
  17. Dewon Day is sexy as hell. Apparently his fastball has improved to go along with that nasty slider. I believe that he should be ready for MLB play by the second half, if needed.
  18. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 09:49 AM) Yeah, the end really left you with a different feeling, once again. Now we see Juliet's true feelings for Ben, and that makes it seem like her trying to get Jack to kill Ben on the operating table was for real. The scene with the Russian showing back up was awesome. That was the last guy I ever expected to see come running out of the jungle. I wonder what the deal with the security gate really was now? No kidding. That and the (spoiler alert!!!) parachute girl saying that they found the plane and they were all dead, made me scream at the top of my lungs.
  19. OMFG what an episode.
  20. QUOTE(hitlesswonder @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 09:31 AM) What's ironic is that Terrero and Anderson are very similar players. If Anderson doesn't hit this season, I think his career will look a lot like Terrero's. BA needs to be in AAA figuring out his swing. Right now its notchy and too mechanical. Terrero is better suited for 1-2 appearances per week than BA.
  21. QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 10:53 PM) So assuming Mack, Dye, and Thome can't play for the next couple of days I'd say someone is getting called up. If it were up to me it would be Owens. Dye and Thome are supposed to be back tomorrow or the next day. There is no DL for them.
  22. BA is as close to an automatic out as they come. The kid is just a horrible hitter.
  23. Once it got cold outside again, we went cold. Hilarious.
  24. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 09:11 PM) Question. Can you put Anderson in RF, then pinch hit Thome for Danks, then replace Danks with a RP after the at-bat? A half double switch? Dont know
  25. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 09:08 PM) We just have to hope he continues to develop with command and possibly tinker with his fastball's release. There isnt much that would stand in his way by watching the kid pitch. He seems to gain control each time out. His curve has looked great tonight, his change is fooling hitters. Im encouraged.
