QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 23, 2015 -> 03:03 PM) I think it's more likely the police are covering up their cover up. It's multiple police agencies as well as a lab and a hospital. Thats a lot of covering up that needs to be done.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 23, 2015 -> 02:55 PM) If it's the official sealed and tagged evidence, it's what verifies that everything is still legit and controlled. If the evidence is out of its proper storage, then the chain of custody is broken and it's basically useless (remember Ryan Braun getting off on this technicality a few years ago?) But the police are saying the coc is legit so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Jeez what the hell is going on? The bag left at her mom's house only serves the defense correct? So is it within the realm of possibility that its fake? I dont understand anything that is happening here.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 23, 2015 -> 02:24 PM) This is just nuts. A lot of it feels like a circus because the results didn't go the accuser's way. That said, part of me feels like Kaner hired some asshole to bust in, steal evidence, and deliver that empty s*** to the accuser's mom's house! This would make a great Lifetime movie assuming Kane does go away for rape. The thing is that it was just the bag holding the evidence so it wasn't the evidence itself. That's what makes it weird.
-
Apparently the police have documentation that the chain of evidence was not compromised. So they are calling her lawyer a liar.
-
It sounds like it wasn't. Kane's lawyer just put the smack down in his statement
-

Now it's being reported the evidence bag was empty. I didn't see that before. So did someone dumpster dive or do they destroy those?
-
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 23, 2015 -> 01:14 PM) If there is no evidence of intercourse with Kane how exactly do they expect a grand jury to bring charges?
-
All he shows is the paper bag. That could have easily been from after it was opened and someone took it. Doesn't the kit go straight to the lab and then to the police? This is all very strange and weird. His comments were equally strange. Placing blame on everyone else and giving up kinda. Does anyone in the media not feel weird about this whole thing?

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 23, 2015 -> 12:46 PM) I could be wrong, but I think that if the evidence bag has been tampered with, then chain of custody has been broken and any evidence contained within that back is inadmissible. As for the results of the DNA tests, isn't that still just unconfirmed leaks? I get that but all he shows is this paper bag. There are about 4 more seals in there.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 23, 2015 -> 12:43 PM) i dont even think Law and Order would find this a plausible story. So messed up You know they'll try

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Sep 23, 2015 -> 12:41 PM) No, it was her name. Tim Graham from the Buffalo paper said it had her name, DOB and the nurse's initials. What an idiot. And can you selectively take out DNA of someone in a rape kit and insert others? Was the sample tampered or just the bag? The sample is also sealed inside of a sealed bag.
-
This whole thing is weird. Almost like a commercial for this lawyer saying it wasn't me, I'm competent, remember that next time.

Are you saying Greg doesnt have "faith" Gage?

QUOTE (LDF @ Sep 23, 2015 -> 08:36 AM) wow talking about extreme examples. Hitler was just a victim of meth addiction, everyone knows that.

Wow. This thread is a microcosm of the different types of voters each party must impress.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 23, 2015 -> 07:38 AM) Isn't alcohol really a drug? Not according to about every legislator in the country. Either is nicotine. Hamilton was consuming over a fifth of Crown a day for several years. That's on top of his crack cocaine use. Dude liked to party, alone.
-
The additions look pretty good so far.

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Sep 22, 2015 -> 08:59 PM) He's done significantly more damage to the Blackhawks brand than Hamilton has done to the Rangers brand. I don't believe Hamilton has been accused of a violent crime. It's less fair to Hamilton. Kane is in the position where he needs a babysitter. lol what. You do know Hamiltons addiction took him completely out of baseball for several years right? Such a strange comparison you are making.

Tom Herman would be a good hire. -
Not sure I'd compare Kane to a crack addict. I'm not sure you've actually looked up Hamiltons past

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 09:28 AM) These bears fans calling in to the Score saying Pace and Fox's system doesnt work and everyone needs to be fired are just extreme meatball. Bears loss mondays are just bottom of the barrel Its every fanbase. Call in shows are the worst. Some guy I know this morning said the same thing, that the players werent even trying when he watched the sidelines, then immediately called for Ditka to come back. Lots of brain cells in that head.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 08:57 AM) Rock, you're the resident OSU fan on the board, thoughts on Bosa? Will he be the consensus #1 player come April? Also, JT Barrett seems like the best option for Ohio State, but if that's the case, it seems to me that Cardale Jones should have gone pro last year. Bosa is very very good. Hes probably a top ten pick IMO. I am not sure there are many college DE's not named Watt that deserve to be the #1 overall pick. The defense is loaded with future NFL players, Darron Lee is basically Ryan Shazier 2.0, Vonn Bell is a stud. The best option at QB is to pick someone, they are both playing tight. Jones has little experience reading defenses and it shows.
-
QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Sep 20, 2015 -> 10:22 PM) A lot of scouts says Bosa is similar to Ryan Kerrigan: good but not great. Tunsil hasn't played at all this year and that worries me despite his great 2014 season. Smith is good but not #1 overall pick good. I'm up in the air on it all but Jared Goff is a stud. If it's not Goff I want Jalen Ramsey or Vernon Hargreaves. I literally cannot agree with anything in your post. Goff is not even close to a good pick for where the Bears will be selecting.

Welp.
