Who would people consider to be "great" presidents?

QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 21, 2015 -> 07:07 AM) Poor Diem. Than they show Knight being as ass. Honestly, MTV is trying to be classy with her memory but I dont agree, I dont think they shouldve aired it, especially when you literally see her dying right in front of the cameras.

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jan 22, 2015 -> 09:16 AM) so after next season either Gase is gone (HC) or Cutler is gone, because offense failed That is why I think they were looking at Weiss. We do not have to eat or hang out with Weiss, there is no doubting his ability as an OC. Head coach he sucks but OC is a position he thrives in. He is not a leader of men but he is a damn good OC. Weiss has no reason to work as he is still collecting fat paychecks. -

QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 21, 2015 -> 01:28 PM) Is "2 pounds of air" that noticeable? If I'm looking at a tire gauge, is this like seeing 38 register rather than 40? You have to consider the container, 2 lbs of air is HUGE in my road bike tires, next to nothing in my jeep. -
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jan 21, 2015 -> 01:51 PM) Baxter? That's the last big one that I know of. And man Astellas wasn't like that at all when I was there, of course I was in their IT department and that's always barren... LOL, leave it to me to only list my customers when trying to list all pharma. Forgot about those guys.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 21, 2015 -> 02:01 PM) Thought the movie was rather great. I blocked out the political stuff as I watched it. Michael Moore obviously hasn't seen it. I sort of get Rogen's comparison but not to the effect that there should be big outrage over it. I get Rogen's comparison as well kind of, I actually thought about it as I was watching it.

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Jan 21, 2015 -> 10:42 AM) Not necessarily, it might only be noticeable when squeezed, as when making a catch, which I think is the reason for doing it. And IIRC, Illinois played part of a B1G game with a smaller, womens basketball a few seasons back before anybody noticed. In college bball and football each team uses it's own brand of balls. IN football when the offense switches they switch out the balls the teams use. Each team could use a different brand and model of ball. In bball, you use whatever the home team supplies. The ball is kind of important but not by as many points as NE won by. -

So the Brad Johnson thing is about scuffing footballs, I know thats legal in college as they use a machine thats kind of like a shoe shiner/buffer. Not sure how they do it in the NFL. -

QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 21, 2015 -> 09:51 AM) Maybe I'm crazy, but in a head to head matchup of videotaping practices vs deflating balls, I don't really care about the deflated tactics. Take away some picks, sure. But I just don't think playing with a very slightly modified ball changes the game that much to matter. Isnt it harder to throw a spiral with a flat ball anyway? I dont get how its this huge advantage. -
QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 21, 2015 -> 09:28 AM) Eggcorn I find myself typing emails sometimes and ill type half of the dialogue of the show Im watching.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 21, 2015 -> 08:33 AM) Brad Johnson admits to paying a $7500 bribe before the Super Bowl in 2003 for someone tamper with 100 footballs to make them easier to grip. I wonder if the Patriots aren't the only team to do this, just the only ones dumb enough to get caught. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/...the-super-bowl/ Lane Kiffin has even done it, its not a secret tactic. -
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 20, 2015 -> 08:12 PM) So Blackwater was using a French name for the same corporation? That wouldn't surprise me in the least, public relations. How do you know they were shipped in from Europe? http://www.cbsnews.com/news/stars-voice-su...ftag=YHF4eb9d17 Moore gets ripped to shreds on Twitter. Is that the same Jane Fonda or Jane Seymour (Bond Girl) married Peter Fonda? Rob Lowe usually not aligned with the conservative side of the entertainment industry. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/incredible-t...r9UwEYALRuTmYlQ On the truths and fiction of Kyle's life...as well as some poignant comments from Bradley Cooper at the end about the movie not being a political statement but more about returning from war and dealing with domestic life and family. I mean, I didnt watch it as some sort of political statement, I saw it as a good movie with a message regarding PTSD, thats kind of the end of it. Its not nearly close to Band of Brothers as far as giving me hero worship.

QUOTE (raBBit @ Jan 20, 2015 -> 01:58 PM) What do you mean when you say collaborated? Like all of his killings weren't his own? Or do you mean corroborated? Lol, Yes. Ever had your mind say something but you type another thing?

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jan 20, 2015 -> 03:54 PM) I work for big pharma so all the women here are really intelligent and probably intimidate the crap out of men. In Chicago? Takeda, Abbot, Abbvie, Astellas?

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 20, 2015 -> 01:44 PM) Amidst all that chaos though? I dunno, I wasn't there, but I seem to remember pandemonium for a few days there. These guys make a living of being unseen. It wouldn't surprise me at all. There were alot of deaths and crimes that went unreported even to this day. It wouldnt surprise me.
-
QUOTE (raBBit @ Jan 20, 2015 -> 01:27 PM) That should give you a sense of where Kyle's head was at in the end. With the extent of PTSD this guy had, his idea of reality was really f***ed up by the time he died, however many of the things that happened over seas have been collaborated.

QUOTE (LDF @ Jan 20, 2015 -> 11:57 AM) lol..... it didn't come across like that. i was wrong. but still it is a masterful way of drumming up a good will for the northsiders. s Most of the Cubs fans I know were embarrassed by it

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 20, 2015 -> 11:46 AM) FWIW Kyle told an almost definitely made-up story about him and a sniper buddy going to New Orleans right after Katrina and shooting dozens of people from the top of the Superdome. That would make him a mass-murderer, but it was something he was trying to brag about. He also just seemed to have incredibly simplistic "good guys versus bad guys" views of the world. I thought it was just his sniper buddies who were actively deployed to keep order and not him personally?

QUOTE (LDF @ Jan 20, 2015 -> 09:50 AM) my point is snipers are a necessary piece of equipment that is needed in war. whether most like to think it is cowardly or not, they saves life. my point is in WW2, a sniper / commando's saved life, in the long run. killing this mad man who is worst than hilter caused an additional 10,000 people and a complete town. but it still saved lives. no matter what anyone say, his kills are certified by the military, so there is no false numbers there. he saved or helped saved lives. To be fair, in WW2 the Germans used snipers to defend against the oncoming Allied Armies so it was slightly different circumstances. They had guys hiding in vacant cities just picking off dudes to slow down the advance.
