  1. I'm still hearing the sox think they have him.
  2. Oh we did? And how much was it? Hmmm. Someone called that months ago...........
  3. Its a realistic problem because from the outset the Sox have been in on this kid hard. They firmly believe that they are going to land him if the bidding doesnt get super outlandish. I've mentioned this in PM's since the beginning of this guy becoming available. The Sox knew it before it was official and have made plans to land him.
  4. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Oct 14, 2013 -> 09:21 AM) With some rare down time on Saturday I was able to watch The Purge and This Is The End. Both were very good. The Purge did a good job with the suspense. My wife and kids said they expect a sequel. I hope not. I think it would be nothing more than a re-hashing of what happened in the movie. I'm not sure they could tell another story that would be original in any way. This Is The End was hilarious. There were so many little jokes mixed in that I'm sure I didn't see all of them. I think it's a movie that has to be watched a few times. Extremely true. The nuances are hilarious especially considering the actors are playing "douchey" versions of themselves and make really funny comments about it the whole time. The Pineapple express 2 montage killed me.
  5. QUOTE (ChiSoxFan05 @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 04:25 PM) Say we sign Abreu and Konerko requests to return...... Adam Dunn is probably the odd man out in that scenario.
  6. QUOTE (ChiSoxFan05 @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 04:09 PM) Which sources have reported this? I only have Heyman, Olney, MLBTR, Rotoworld, and other various MLB websites. Soxtalk.
  7. QUOTE (Sockin @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 03:44 PM) Jon Heyman ‏@JonHeymanCBS Hear #chisox strong on abreu bidding. Only a few months late on that Heyman.....Just sayin
  8. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 03:51 PM) Any good waivers QBs out there? No, its a big league and our points system isnt default. Dalton scores about 3-7 less points than Rodgers weekly
  9. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 12:47 PM) I'll defend Teague. College PG to pro PG is a lot harder than other transitions, and he came in as a 19 year old (He's only 20 now). His learning curve was going to be a lot higher but he has gotten better. Problem is bulls don't have time for projects. I have yet to figure out what his plus tool is though. He doesnt seem overly athletic, and doesnt seem to have natural instincts.
  10. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 12:44 PM) Aaron? Whose on your roster? Are you getting Charles? Need way more info but gut says whomever is getting Charles is winning the deal. I had Rodger and basically no RB, I would be getting Charles straight up. My QB would then be Dalton by default.
  11. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 11:48 AM) More likely it's from some nobody that made it all up to look cool on a message board. BRAD STEVENS IS ON A PRIVATE PLANE TO CHAMPAIGN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What they didnt know is that it was a connection to Boston.
  12. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 10:31 AM) My same random internet post I read explained that Jones doesn't want to go to Duke because he's not assured of playing time. And supposedly Kansas has been giving Jones/Okafor the hard sell on going there. Alexander, in turn, is option 2 which is why people think he's more of an Illinois lean. But no one really knows anything. Sounds like it was from an Illinois "insider." Jones and Okafor would be option #1 if I was a school that was looking at all of those players, but Alexander/Turner would be a nice second prize.
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 10:42 AM) Teague was "best available" at the time. He didnt make sense for the Bulls, but like Steve pointed out, it wasnt like they missed out on something big. If they can flip him for a pick or a player that Thibs can use, that would be great IMO he is still a good option as a backup PG for some teams. He lacks offensive ability at this point and seems to not know the offense very well.
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 10:16 AM) If he can simply shoot like he did last night, he'll be very valuable. I like his length on defense when it was Rose, Deng, Snell, Taj, Noah. They were almost shut-down capable.
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 09:00 AM) Snell can shoot, but man that boy dribbles like a goofball. He brought it up a few times and looked adequate. If he can run the pick and roll, hit the 3 and play defense he'll be very valuable.
  16. Snell is going to get minutes. Teague, not so sure.
  17. I think Jones/okafor to Duke. Alexander/turner to Kansas.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 16, 2013 -> 07:52 PM) Any impressions of Snell for anyone watching? Twitter says just made his first 3. If he plays like this the Bulls are going to be good. He's very long defensively and can shoot. He's also brought the ball up a few times.
  19. Im on GTA if you have PS3 The_Rockraines
  20. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 16, 2013 -> 03:33 PM) Come on SB, you know that 14.whatever figure is a joke. Bo Ryan teams get away with murder, especially at home (even though I agree with you they don't really tackle guys like other teams *cough* Purdue *cough*). The home team advantage in the conference is pretty big no matter who we are talking about. Wisconsin's is probably the most one-sided because of the addition of the stupid ball they use.
  21. Wisconsin is physical in the paint. Purdue hacks on the perimeter. MSU is dirtier than both especially in the paint. All Big Ten teams are physical compared to other conferences. However I can see how an IU fan would perceive playing defense as being unfair.
  22. Anyone have residential VOIP? Vonage used to be the standard but now costs the same at ATT and Comcast and I am not planning on getting any of those three.
  23. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 16, 2013 -> 09:47 AM) From memory he doesn't really use his hands that much, he's one of those guys that uses his chest/mid section to body up on guys. So he'll still be a very good defender. That said, I still think Craft is overrated because of the "white guy gym rat" mentality. Maybe so, but it's more than his performance on the court, the guy is the type of player coaches love because he makes other players work harder. First guy in, last guy out, sometimes sleeps at the practice facility. He's really going to be missed when he leaves. If you look at the performance of other team's players that he guards it's clear his value is spot on as a defender. Offensively, it's still debatable.
  24. QUOTE (Boogua @ Oct 16, 2013 -> 07:36 AM) I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if they call the rules as strictly for known "good defenders" like Craft. Some guys get away with more than others, or they did under the old rules. Craft and Kramer from Purdue a few years back were just guys that seemed to get away with murder. Craft moves his feet better than any defender in college bball. He'll always be a plus defender.
