QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 5, 2013 -> 07:47 PM) Rumor Okafor's final 4 is Baylor, Duke, Kansas, Kentuckt. If he and Cliff both go to Kansas, that'd be insane. Turner is apparently also Kansas bound. -
Rose said his vert is 5 inches better than pre injury.

Great amount of respect for what NW did tonight. Made the Bucks make mistakes and capitalized. Fitz needs to stay there for life. -

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 5, 2013 -> 11:15 PM) The play was never confirmed so you are wrong again. The line judge didn't even know. He started back beyond the first down, then inexplicably came in front of it at the last second for the spot. Didn't make sense. On ESPN.com they have an angle that shows he got it. Should put any doubt away. That sucks. -

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 5, 2013 -> 10:52 PM) His knee was absolutely not down. No idea what replay you were watching. He fell forward. That's all he had to do for a first down. Pretty obvious he got it. Really obvious he was short. -

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 5, 2013 -> 10:48 PM) Im glad they did, but he got the first down. It was clear from the back angle but you cant spot the ball so refs made the correct call for the review. The back angle where there is no depth perception? His knee was down and the. He was short. The 75 holding calls that were blown help nw anyway. Escaped and advanced. -

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Oct 5, 2013 -> 02:39 PM) Pitt's defense was top 20 last year and returned 9 starters. Maryland was one of the best defenses in the country coming into today. Defensive rankings before conference play doesn't mean much. Regardless there are other QBs who are probably ahead of him. -

Bridgewater has been just as good. IU has more talent than PSU. First ever win again them. Awesome. -

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 05:03 PM) I don't think anyone cared about NU until the Chicago's Big Ten team campaign On sportsnet they just polled viewers, NU vs OSU got 0% of "what do you want to see this weekend". Blackhawks, bulls, bears and even playoff baseball beat them. -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 03:24 PM) I wouldn't say that I like them, but I certainly like them more than OSU. Bunch of free tattoo-getters. BOOOOOOOOO -
QUOTE (sircaffey @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 03:36 PM) I'd look into pre and during workout nutrition. It's more important than post workout. Yeah, its hit or miss for me. Sometimes I can fuel up adequately and sometimes not. It's something I've fought for most of my life.
-
QUOTE (sircaffey @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 03:18 PM) Strength training makes us more sensitive to protein synthesis. Consuming protein itself increases protein synthesis and slows protein breakdown (the net determining the ability to create muscle). Nutrient timing has been researched to death though, with nothing proving conclusively that there are added benefits to protein post-workout. There are people on both sides of the argument however. It does seem to make a little sense to me given the above information, so I will continue to do it. At the very least, it ensures that your body does have enough protein to do work. Plus it's a liquid meal which is digested within an hour whereas a solid meal takes 2-3 hours. I get super weak sometimes during and after workouts, protein shakes with carbs really save me from having a hard time and possibly passing out.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 01:57 PM) One way or another I hope NW gets beat tomorrow. It's going to make me throw up in my mouth rooting for OSU, but so be it. Come to the dark side..... -

our scout insider just came out and said Goodluck committed to OSU on his visit then took it back after going to UNLV. -
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 12:23 PM) A question for you then: I rarely weigh myself. A number isn't nearly as important to me as what I actually look like. With that said, my weight has consistently gone down over the last week or two, despite regular strength training. Am I being too short-sighted? I woke up today at 202.5 and I want to be at about 215. Youre probably burning off some of that crappy weight. Keep it up and keep eating and you should see gains. Its a marathon not a sprint.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 11:35 AM) Obviously I'm no doctor but I almost think that he was hit right above the knee where it f***in kills for a few days but nothing that'll keep him out for a long period of time. I thought Hoyer's looked much more serious.
-
QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 11:26 AM) If EJ Manuel's injury is serious, I wouldn't be surprised if the Bills went after Freeman as their starting QB for the rest of the year. Speaking of, I havent seen anything definitive on that yet.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 11:02 AM) I guess I view conference championship implicating game as more important than an early big ten matchup, even if on national tv. Of course, I'm also probably understating how awful NW football was in the past compared to where it is now (even though I don't think the "now" is anywhere close to where Greenberg and Wilbon think it is). There was a time when they set the NCAA record for most consecutive losses. They had one spike of success with Barnett, but other than that they have been bad. -
QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 11:22 AM) Even if Andy Dalton is bad, which I don't think he is, you don't replace him with Josh Freeman thinking he'll somehow be better. No, but you have him as his backup. Freeman isnt going to be handed a starting job anywhere.
-
QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 11:19 AM) He is? This is news to me. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/D/DaltAn00.htm Dalton's not a pro-bowl caliber QB (although he did go to one...because pro bowls are a joke), but I don't think he's terrible. He's bad, and cincy media largely think this is his season to prove himself to be that pro-bowl caliber player.
