  1. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Feb 6, 2013 -> 11:50 AM) This is probably good for the conference overall. We have a 4.0 star avg, I cant remember a class like that since about 2002.
  2. #1 on rivals and Scout for the moment, look for Bama to hop us on Rivals. Ole Miss is either recruiting better than anyone else or they are cheating, I cant see any other way that they are pulling in these strange recruits.
  3. Boom! Clark and Bell both to buckeyes. Should be enough for #1 on scout.
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 27, 2013 -> 02:06 PM) Dontre Wilson James Clark Von Bell Corey Smith Clark and Wilson are on officials right now. Rumors thought he may be close to flipping. I would be shocked if Elliott flipped, they change status to soft verbal when they take visits. His family said he's solid. Wilson and Smith in. Von Bell would give us the #1 class on scout.
  5. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 06:55 PM) If we're getting in a homer fight, Tony Young was a better on ball defender than both Oladipo and Craft. I'm sorry to say I have no idea who that is.
  6. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 04:00 PM) True, it just seems option stalls more close, part of the reason why Meyer would go to the Tebow jump pass move. I still think a run/pass roll option is a tough one. Try and get a lb on a fb/te in the flat having to make a decision on which play to commit to. Yeah they it failed 1 time. I just thought when Wisconsin had Wilson that the pass/option inside the 10 was pretty devastating as it usually gets a lb isoed in space. Away from the blitz would have been really effective.
  7. QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 04:01 PM) Exactly, neither one of us is budging. It seems it'll be Withey, Oladipo, or Noel for NDPOY. I would imagine Oladipo will get BTDPOY with ease. We shall see. Lotta time left for anything to happen. A few short months ago everyone was calling Zeller as NPOY and now he's probably not even the best player on his own team. Shoot back then it was considers a two man race, now who the f*** knows.
  8. QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 03:51 PM) I think that would be a big miscall. Brad Stevens and Izzo would agree. Stevens came out and said he's never seen a better defender in his life. Beilein singing ridiculous praise Saturday night as well. Burke said today "I had much more fun playing against Craft than Oladipo". Who can out homer who huh? Burke played a hell of a lot better this season against IU so not sure why he would say that. Should we start posting quotes from opposing coaches? Izzo called craft "the best on ball defender he's ever seen". Coach k and Billy Donovan said much of the same. SI wrote a 6 page article on him last week full of quotes. He's also the reining DPOY in the conference. Stats? Efficiency? What else can we compare?
  9. QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 03:38 PM) Craft is great, but Oladipo can guard 1-4 and not miss a beat. He'll be on Thomas for sure. Craft is definitely up there, but if Oladipo isn't the DPOY, the award is pointless. He can completely take over the game on both sides of the ball. Craft has been the best on ball defender in college bball since he was a freshman. He guards the pg of the opposing team completely dictating the pace of play. You are correct he doesn't guard 4 positions, doesn't change the fact he's the best at what he does. Opposing coaches and experts echo that statement. Oladipo is a great defender playing in space and passing lanes but one on one he is not superior. Oladipo remindse a lot of David Lighty, versatile as hell. Craft should be a lock for DPOY. He's already the all time leader in steals at OSU one third through his junior year.
  10. QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 02:05 PM) He's unbelievable. Best defender I've seen at the college level in a long time (obviously leaving out big men that block shots). It seems like he's everywhere. Aaron Craft is shocked that you've missed the last 2 seasons of college ball.
  11. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 01:58 PM) Option is harder to use as the field condenses. That being said, I think that the 49ers would have been better served trying a roll out with a run/pass option for Kap. That's true of any offense actually. The penalty was big in that it almost eliminated the running threat so there was no constraint of the blitz. Otherwise an inverted veer or counter would have been a nice option call.
  12. I bet Tha U fans were pretty salty about that non-PI call last night. It was almost the exact same contact/hold as the one in 2003
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 2, 2013 -> 10:12 PM) Thank you for bringing the #1 ranking to Assembly Hall, Wolverines. Let's see if we can keep it for a while. What a game by Zeller. Seriously. You most likely wont, it's a trend. McGary was a huge p**** tonight. Burke shot the ball 20+ times. Not a great recipe. I'm sure folks will now talk about how overrated the conference is again.
  14. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Feb 1, 2013 -> 11:19 PM) Wow, I love the hate that I get here.. Thanks so much for spending much of the day talking about me... Go 49ers!!! We will destroy the Ravens this weekend.. Dude, just don't. At this point better to come clean. I'm posting from out of town legitimately FYI. Not my parents basement.
  15. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 1, 2013 -> 01:41 PM) You could say NBC underappreciated it. A show that won Emmys and been network staple shouldn't have the series final on Jan 31st. Not even on during Feb sweeps. NBC hates their best comedies. Community, Paks N Re.c and it feels like they are trying to kill em. If they kill Parks and Rec im going to be pissed. I love that show.
  16. I got back into vball a bit and have been amping up my legs workout (after my knee injuries) and rolling yesterday was as painful as its ever been. I take that as a very good sign.
  17. Did that last post pretty much kill SoxObama from this site?
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 1, 2013 -> 12:54 PM) Ayanbadejo has helped give them a solid reputation on that. But the real answer would be...if you're going to be a bigot, then shut up. I can kinda get a 24 year old in a football environment winding up with a talking to after spouting off on the radio, but after a couple different hits on the topic, they've really stepped up and shown what their locker room thinks of their own city. At the end of the day, not every NFL player is going to be smart, and that guy just happened to be an idiot with a microphone shoved in his face.
  19. I think these types of deals, we trade something we have for something worth alot more. yes!!
  20. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Feb 1, 2013 -> 10:48 AM) Agreed. After about season 3 of 30 rock, that show just went downhill. There were too many better comedies out there to bother continuing with 30 rock. See I think 30 Rock stayed great, but the jokes were more subtle wording at times. You really had to listen to what they said to get alot of them. It was clear Tina ran out of material at the end though.
  21. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 1, 2013 -> 10:39 AM) I barely read you and Brians posts because of your avatars I admit I stare at his quite a bit.
  22. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 31, 2013 -> 03:31 PM) Watched Freaks & Geeks on Netflix streaming. Loved it. That+Undeclared are under the radar smash hits.
  23. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 1, 2013 -> 10:01 AM) Please tell me the guy was not posting random pics from the internet and claiming they were his just to act like he was at some Super Bowl he's not at on some random website. This would explain his posting on Soxtalk "from the NFC Championship Game" when data and wifi access would be nearly impossible due to all the connections. Please, please tell me that there isn't someone out there who would go to the trouble to convince a bunch of strangers he did all of these things. Actually, please tell me it's true. Also, not that I want them, but I think this lends credibility to my "never received Sox tickets" point that I like to make every now and then. Too funny. I dont know if I want it to be true or not.
  24. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Feb 1, 2013 -> 09:12 AM) It's a fair comparison. He's shooting 53% but, making less than 1 three a game, in the past years, he shot 30% and 20% from the three. We all know the NBA range is not the same the college range. Derrick Williams shot an insane 57% from 3s a couple years ago, what is he doing now? If you must know, Ronnie Brewer shot almost 40% from 3s in one year in college with more makes than Oladipo. And there are other similarities in their game besides the jump shot. Yes, that year Ronnie made a staggering 36 3's so great point. I'm sure oladipo won't even come close to that amount. He has a better shot and is making a high percentage from both 2 and 3. He would be a solid fit next to Rose at the 2.
  25. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jan 30, 2013 -> 11:36 PM) Sounds like a smaller version of Ronnie Brewer, athletic, good defensive two guard with no real jump shot. I rather the Bulls go for a scorer at the 2 or a backup defensive center to replace Mohammed. I would say that's a horrible description of him. He's shooting 53 percent from 3 and has been the best player on one k the best teams in the country. Ronnie Brewer and his non existent jump shot has zero to do with Oladipo.
