QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 9, 2013 -> 08:36 AM) That'd be great, pausing a game because a team can't get through to call the bullpen. That happened with the Cubs a few years back. I believe that was Nextel or some s***. I dont understand the need to get rid of bullpen phones. I love how MLB wanted to get "high tech" and they went to cell phones. You could have made an actual jump and went to tablets with video chatting etc but instead, a cell phone.

This thread is awesome, for me its post post, and then a bunch of ignored ones followed by frustrated responses.

Remember Johnny Knox? I almost forgot about him until he was just brought up in another conversation.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 10:36 AM) True, but I know for vandy there is nothing sweeter than beating kentucky. If that were to happen in a mizzou kansas game I would be livid and swimming in officiating conspiracy theories. Twitter was crazy when it happened with opinions of sports writers. It was such a clear shot clock violation. -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 11:25 AM) I got tired of that game. I enjoy DirecTV's upfront and cheaper pricing. For now. They all try to screw you some way eventually.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 09:58 AM) So Kentucky really stole that game last night. Really bulls*** call. More like gifted a win. -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 08:17 AM) I made the switch to DirecTV. They come to install between 12-4 on Sunday. I'm keeping Comcast for internet, though. The Genie whole-home DVR lured me in (that and saving $600 in 2013 and $200 in 2014). Make sure you call comcast and tell them about that pricing though. My bill just went from 235 to 145 in one call.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 09:56 PM) Browns name Chud as HC. Hell of a coaching staff Butch Davis put together at Miami in 2000 Schiano,Chud and Chuck Pagano I was surprised by that when I watched the replay of the title game in 2002-2003. I didnt realize you had all those guys. I thought us having Dantonio and Snyder was impressive but jeez.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 04:15 PM) I was actually going to post that id guess the next generation consoles are 500gb+. It wouldnt surprise me if 1tb was the middle and that the high end were 1.5-2. Essentially glorified PC's at that point. Which isnt surprising.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 05:49 PM) The story was not swept under the rug. The county prosecutor announced that he wasn't filing charges. What else is anybody supposed to say? Is Brian Kelly supposed to hold a press conference and announce that the player was lucky that the woman killed herself and thus open the kid up to civil lawsuits just to pacify a bunch of f***ing lunatic ND haters? Actually her family full of ND fans and alums probably would have appreciated Kelly suspending or dismissing an accused rapist. But ya know, everyones a hater if they arent superfans. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 03:37 PM) The word "commit" means nothing in college football until signing day. Our insiders have been calling him to Florida for some time, there just wasnt a spot for him until today it appears. Odd recruitment in general. Seems as though he didnt tell his friends or his future roommate. It did enable us to jump ND in the scout team rankings which is awesome. -

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 03:40 PM) There's no truth to any of the f***ing bulls*** you've been posting. You're desperate to paint a scarlet letter on ND when one isn't there. huh? I'm desperate for what exactly? All you can say is that no charges were filed, well thats because the poor girl took her life after the university and the police took no action because "it was football season and they are busy." In the meantime she received threatening text messages to "not mess with Notre Dame football." Lucky for that player that the girl he violated had such emotional issues that she took her own life and he kept his eligibility while the story was completely swept under the rug. So what about that is inaccurate? -

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 02:05 PM) Whether or not Kelly knew anything isn't the issue. The prosecutor's office investigated and decided not to bring charges. How else is the coach supposed to be involved? In Paterno's case it was clear that he knew about criminal activity and didn't report it. In Tressel's case he knew NCAA violations had been committed and not reported? This situation at ND does not fit either of those criteria. Why don't you just give your hatred for ND a f***ing rest OK? LOL, ok dude. I'll keep my "hatred (truth)" away from your team, I understand how painful an offseason is when you've been demolished in the BCS title game. -

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 03:09 PM) Alex Anzalone decommits from Notre Dame for Florida Daddy has been steering him there for months. This was his chance to flip. -
QUOTE (danman31 @ Jan 8, 2013 -> 08:11 PM) Assassin's Creed III was available as a digital download on release day. I didn't download it, but it had to be north of 20 GB. Huge games are already available digitally. I expect this upcoming generation of consoles to play heavier into that. So we are looking at hard drives that need to upwards of 1TB for gaming consoles.

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 01:13 PM) That and I would guess some crappy team will give him an MLE-level contract, not worth it unless by some miracle he's 100% healthy. After this much time and that many procedures and opinions there is no way he will ever be healthy even at his still young age.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 01:07 PM) The county prosecutor has a long history of not getting along with the University. There is no way they cover up anything for the football team. Hell, they go out looking to catch football players drinking underage! And Paterno knew nothing and Tressel never lies. I know the story. -

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 01:01 PM) No, it's not in the same category. Coaches don't have anything to do with criminal investigations. Coaches have a lot to do with sending kids up on scissor lifts in unsafe situations. It's funny that you believe that. Campus police and administration would NEVER try to protect a football player and their coach would NEVER hear about crimes being committed. That's exactly why Paterno was INNOCENT DAMMIT!! -

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 12:53 PM) That's 0% on Brian Kelly. Flaws in the ND police procedures? Maybe. No charges filed though, so it would be a terrible precedent for a coach to suspend/boot a player when no charges are filed and the school took no administrative action. LOL, ok. The football coach knew nothing about it being swept under the rug since it was his player. I've read the domers standard retorts so i dont need to see it again, I was making the point that its in the same category as enabling the death of a student, which it is. -

QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 9, 2013 -> 09:29 PM) I'm a Gopher and Gopher fan, but damn those were a pair of stupid foul calls EDIT: Oh, at least it was a double foul on Mbakwe and Egwu. Still should have been a non-call. EDIT2: Also, the negativity in this thread is hilarious. This is FAR from over... Totally. Home team comeback in conference play is fairly common. I think this goes down to the wire
