QUOTE(mr_genius @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 01:12 PM) he's been a liability thats the problem with guys like podesdnik, when they dont get on base, they are absolutely useless...even when a guy like crede goes into a slump, he gets the occasional homer here or there that helps the team, but unless scotty is consistently gettin on base and using his speed, hes not very useful -

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 11:21 AM) Garland needs to get his s*** together. im not gonna blame him too much for what has happened so far this inning...IF hit, bulls*** past ball by AJ, the walk to maggs was bad, but a single on a pretty good pitch by young...gotta get shelton -

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 11:16 AM) Granderson moves into 2nd on the wild pitch. thats absolutely unacceptable by AJ. if there is one major flaw in his defense is his inability to block the fastball low and to his right....because ofi t they have a runner on third with one out -

QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 10:09 AM) Yea, I kinda like it like that though. Although it relies on a certain amount of confidence that someone within the organization can get it done, it also doesn't overpay for relief pitching, which is notoriously unpredictable. Look at Foulke this year, he's pretty much lost the job to Papelbon--so he's a 7.5 million dollar setup man. yeah, i like it too, relief pitching is so volatile it is ridiculous, and this organization has done well to not overpay for it.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 08:32 AM) I'm curious to see what he brings. He's had 1 good start this year, but a shaky 2005. Good day for the rest of the offense to contribute. he struggled in 2005 in 2 big league starts, but he also led the minors in ERA -
over spring and limited action this year from what i saw he throws a fastball with pretty good movement in the 90-92 range, along with a pretty good slider. as mentioned his arm angle is a little less than 3/4 delivery....i havent seen him throw much else, prolly has a change but hasnt really featured it, but as a reliever, especially against only lefties he should be able to get by without it

prediction: if buerhle wont re-sign with teh sox, he will be traded before he gets to free agency
