QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jul 11, 2013 -> 02:55 PM) All you need to know about this roster is not one player was even close to defending Alexei in any potential brawl. All coaches. Is this saying the team is a bunch of wimps or that the team doesn't like Alexei?

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 05:15 PM) No, not in a way. He is a former player, he is definitely in the family tree Right, former Sox player. I'd love to see Martinez as manager, and get some coaches that know how to get the most of their players. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 05:09 PM) Absolutely, bring in Dave Martinez as the manager and let him choose his coaching staff. Although TECHNICALLY Martinez is still the Sox family tree . . . In a way. -
QUOTE (juddling @ May 14, 2013 -> 11:51 AM) I haven't been so wrapped up in "I got to know who the mother is" as much as some of my friends so maybe i've been able to enjoy the ride much more than some. Sadly....Ted having someone in his life who he believes is the one and has trouble letting go time and time again (until he FINDS the one) is something that rings close to home with me. Maybe I'm in the minority but didn't most of us have someone in our past that (at the time) you thought was the one and had trouble letting her go???? I know that was a good chunk of my 20's. Either way.....should be interesting next season to see if they meet early and it covers their courtship or another direction I agree man. I'm sure his back and forth with Robin is just showing how amazing the mother actually is. Its someone who will break that love he always has for Robin. Like in real life, you think you can't get over the person you thought was "the one", then you find the true "one" and no longer care about what might have been with that other person. I'm definitely excited for the final season.

I know I'm in the minority, but I love every episode of HIMYM. I am looking forward to see what the writers do with next season.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 12, 2013 -> 09:45 AM) That looked as intentional as it gets to me. 3-2 count, don't wanna make a mistake, want to put him on 1st base anyways, have recent issues with him...may as well just hit him and send a message. Wouldn't be surprised if some of it is about Quentin crowding the plate, but Quentin obviously feels it's his plate and he's willing to fight for it. I realized 2 things when I watched it - #1, Quentin looks good; #2, I miss TCQ I agree with everything you posted. Quentin has shown he doesn't care to get hit and will crowd the plate over and over. This one had more to it than just getting hit by the pitch so Quentin charged the mound.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 12, 2013 -> 09:34 AM) How exactly did Greinke have a broken collarbone coming to him? Not the broken collarbone, thats a freak thing that happened with it. I was referring to Quentin charging the mound.
-
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 12, 2013 -> 07:57 AM) What a b**** move by Quentin, they should suspend him for a month to match the time Greinke will miss. In that game situation, Greinke was not purposely throwing at him. If you are that sick of getting hit by pitches, then stop crowding the plate. I know why Kemp was pissed, but he was also out of line. Two meatheads don't make a right. Eh, there is previous stuff involved, he shouldn't be suspended for a month. Q has been hit so many times in the past and I'm not sure he has ever charged the mound before. I think Greinke had it coming with Q.

Gamethread: SWAC Womens Bowling Championship

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 4, 2013 -> 10:44 AM) So they go to the National Eastern Division North now right? There I think they face Liberty, unless SW Missouri State can upset Louisiana-Lafeyette in the American Southwestern Division Northern East, then Prairie View goes to the Tournament, unless Northern Alabama upsets Eastern Illinois and Maine ties Xavier, IUPUI would face Santa Barbara and Nebraska-Omaha in a blind choice round robin. Naturally, of course, if no clear winner emerges, a two-person sack race will be held on consecutive Sundays until a champion can be crowned. Awesome. -

This would've been good material for a Catch-All thread . . . Wasn't there someone on here that hates Catch-All threads? But anyways, Prairie View won, for those who even care in the least bit. -
QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 05:00 PM) Wasn't the last time we started 2-0 2005...? Farmer said its only been done twice by the Sox in the last 10 years, '05 and '11. Definitely hope the season continues like '05 rather than '11 . . .

Sox Claim Campana in August Anyone check that little blurb out? What would you guys think if the Sox got him? Dude is fast, but can't hit. I would think the Sox would pass.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 14, 2012 -> 01:52 AM) Sorry, that's actual news. It doesn't make it any more intelligent, but that actually happened. But Brent Morel, Leyson Septimo, and Dylan Axelrod for David Wright (or other ridiculous trade ideas) waste space. Yea, and you would've said the same thing last year if someone had said, "Lets trade Lillibridge and Stewart for Youkilis". Sometimes ridiculous trades happen. If someone posts a trade you don't think has a chance to happen, why don't you *gasp* ignore it.
