The Gigantic all encompassing TRADE THREAD
If we get Ted Lilly in a deal, I hope we also get Aaron Hill. That guy is awesome! He could sub for Crede or Uribe--he's just another great utility player.

What is your favorite Sox Play or Homerun
What about Joe Borchard's mammoth homerun shot last year @ the cell? Doesn't anyone love this guy?

Does your White Sox Fandomaffect you Fantasy Team?
I am third in my fantasy league & I drafted Shingo, Pods, Iguchi, Everett, Thomas, Dye, Buehrle, El Duque, & Marte. I really did pick up too many Sox players. This was my first year playing fantasy baseball, & I know I was really stupid for doing this. Currently on my team, I have Pods, Iguchi, Everett, Thomas, Buehrle, El Duque, & Garland. I ended up dropping Shingo for Scot Shields but now am seriously thinking about getting Politte. Also, I dropped Dye & Marte for Garland & Brady Clark respectively. As you can see, I really overrank the ChiSox players... not a very good idea when you are in a fantasy baseball pool.

Crazy Carl's trade value is rising...
While we're on the topic of trades, Eric Chavez was 5 for 5 today with two homers. We had better trade for him soon before it's too late or he costs too much.

JON FOCKING GARLAND
If Joe f***ing Torre manages for the AL during the All-Star Game then I will be real f***ing pissed. Last year, Konerko should have made the All-Star Game, but instead that stupid Yank Giambi got to play. That was horses***. Too bad Giambi really sucks this year.

Timo
Man, Iguchi almost blew the game with that f***ing critical error. Hawk & DJ said something about the sun & shadows being real bad. I think that is why Iguchi's defense was not its best today.

AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
I think it is funny that good 'ol Dusty Baker took out Zambrano in the eighth. He was dominating the Sox. I just watched SportsNite and Zambrano said he could've stayed in longer (even though he had already thrown 108 pitches). Dusty told the media that Zambrano said he was tired. Who actually is telling the truth? I don't know. But, it is funny as hell that the manager and SP are both pissed off at each other and that the Cubs' bullpen cost them the win.

Carlos Lee with hit #1000
You know, C. Lee beat the Cubs twice this year. Now, he's going to help put the Twins farther behind in the AL Central. Hells yeah! Props go out to Carlos.

AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
I really have to agree--that game was emotional. It was f***ing hilarious to see Paulie put that tag on Derrek Lee when the guy was picked off.

Game Thread 5-15-2005 Sox vs Orioles
The Sox had better win today. I went to the game yesterday and was very disappointed in the SP. I am also going to the game today. Hopefully, Contreras isn't erratic as hell. Go SOX!!!

Upcoming Tampa Series with Ventura?
I heard that Robin Ventura will join D.J. in the announcer's booth for the upcoming Tampa Bay series. Does anyone know if this is true?
-
Everett a fit for the Cubs?
I forgot about Jermaine Dye...damn. He should play right field. And no, I did not see Gload's errors against the Cubs. I was on summer vacation at the time. Forget what I said--Dye is the man. He's so great defensively.

Speedy Lineup
Thanks guys. I had no idea who Ozuna was. I hope Valdez works hard during spring training b/c I think the kid has potential.
-
Everett a fit for the Cubs?
Carl Everett--he is a good player. But let's face it, Ross Gload showed everyone his potential by playing first base, right field, and clutch-hitting in drastic situations last year. Ross should be the starting right-fielder--don't let that rookie QB play right field. Carl should then be a backup/clutch hitter.

Speedy Lineup
First, Konerko is not speedy at all! Secondly, who the heck's Pablo Ozuna?

Maggs Update; Tigers are Close
I guess everyone is right. It's better that Maggs join the Cubs than the Tigers. Magglio's sheer power, once revitalized, could destroy us in the 19 games we play Detroit. We already have one hell of a time trying to beat that team!

Maggs Update; Tigers are Close
I don't really care too much if Maggs goes to Detroit or not. I would hate for him to be with the Cubs. If Ordoñez went to the Northsiders, he would be seen as a traitor. I like him too much for this to happen. I sure hope he gets to go to Detroit, or better yet--the Rangers.
