  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2017 -> 04:22 PM) Joking about wrestling Gotcha
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2017 -> 04:15 PM) Wait, what? The fix is in. Texas is supposed to win this one.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2017 -> 04:13 PM) Shocked Renteria didn't get ejected. Two complete bulls*** replay calls Maybe it's as fake as pro wrestling.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2017 -> 03:03 PM) No way you move Moncada just to put Yolmer at 2nd. Yolmer defense is great but his offense seems to be fading A middle infield of Anderson and Moncada is a recipe for failure.
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 2, 2017 -> 02:54 PM) We still think defense doesn't matter at all? Two unearned runs already, God knows how many extra/high stress pitches. Luckily, they can't charge a run to Jose for not backing up third there. Ugly. All I know is Yolmer Sanchez better be starting in the middle infield for the Sox for years to come. Someone else should have to move.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2017 -> 02:17 PM) Just proves like with the Rizzo play you should make the dirty play as there are no consequences Choo should hit the dirt his next AB.
  7. QUOTE (Butter Parque @ Jul 2, 2017 -> 02:16 PM) No. It should be placed at a league that decided that this is what instant replay should be used for. To dismantle the neighborhood play (and get more guys injured) and to have ppl in dark rooms make judgement calls about where a runner would have been at a particular moment in time. It's ludicrous. Baseball is not the sport for full-scale replay. It boggles my mind how ppl like Stone could support it. Agree on all counts.
  8. There's no way Q should have been forced to stay out there on the mound that long waiting for that stupid call.
  9. More replay bs ruining the flow of the game.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2017 -> 01:58 PM) Nice challenge by Texas. Replay review is ruining baseball.
  11. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Jun 27, 2017 -> 08:18 AM) I'll only add that Alexei was criminally underrated by Sox fans. We'll be extremely lucky if Anderson is as good. Agreed.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 22, 2017 -> 05:54 PM) Yolmer is sensational on defense these days If Yolmer can keep up playing the way he has been, the Sox would do well to move Moncada off of 2B.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 21, 2017 -> 11:31 PM) If you think this is fun, wait until both Moncada and Anderson are playing defense together. The Sox don't seem to value defense much. It's one reason why I'm not as confident about this organization pulling off a successful rebuild as some are.
  14. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 21, 2017 -> 11:24 AM) How about we have a poll, do you want Jose Abreu to start at 1b for the White Sox in 2018/19, or do you prefer he DH for the overall good of a young/developing team? I vote Abreu DH.
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 19, 2017 -> 09:25 PM) With the glut on the upcoming FA market...? Or play Abreu/Delmonico/Hayes there? Available first basemen include Alonso, Morrison, Hosmer, the resurgent Mitch Moreland, Lucas Duda and Mark Reynolds, all of whom are OPSing at least .824 this season. Bad timing for Carlos Santana to be in the midst of the worst season of his career, with his free agency surely affected by this glut and the prospect of him signing a one-year make-good deal likelier by the week. https://sports.yahoo.com/yu-darvish-free-ag...-014441512.html 2) Brewers have seven potential outfielders, any interest? Who would they want in return from the Sox? Kahnle? Ryan Cordell (who is crushing at Triple-A Colorado Springs and adds to the plethora of Brewers outfielders – him, Brinson, Ryan Braun, Domingo Santana, Hernan Perez, Keon Broxton, Brett Phillips – that will, at some point, warrant a trade.) 3) Finally, the Rangers could be a landing spot for Frazier...they need another bat, Beltre's battled health problems and age, can also DH and play 1B along with Gallo. Profar has struggled this year, as well as Napoli. Adding a good fielding, left handed hitting first baseman like Hosmer and moving Abreu to DH improves the defense, improves the offense, and helps keep Abreu healthy. Improving the defense at 1B also improves the defense of the SS and third baseman, as many of their potential throwing errors are eliminated and even converted to outs.
