Losing begets losing. I'd rather see the Sox improve their scouting and talent evaluation so they can draft wiser instead of earlier. It would also enable them to make better FA signings. They also need to improve the organization at developing talent in the minors. In my opinion, any MLB organization that tanks intentionally just to get a higher draft position (I'm not saying the Sox are doing this) deserves to wind up with a high draft slot for decades on end. Losing is for losers.
