  1. Its cyclical. I just think that all teams should play more division games.
  2. This sucks too. I am not enjoying some of these ancillary changes. They are all for the worse.
  3. That sucks. I like the re seeding and the 163 playoffs.
  4. The only issue with this approach is that they are wasting the rookie QB contract flexibility. By the time they sort this out Feilds will be expensive if he is any good.
  5. The meal money is pretty inconsequential. Its around 200,000. I think the max they go is around 240. They will leave a little room for trade deadline acquisitions.
  6. Well considering they are playing all 162, it's not much a win. It would be if they don't play 162.
  7. Thanks, I didn't hear the former just the latter.
  8. Ok. Those both help a little. At least there are some incentives. The lottery was top 6 picks, correct?
  9. Ya don't say. Boras tried his best to extend the lockout.
  10. I thought the lawsuits were for COVID related items? Or were there multiple lawsuits discussed?
  11. How were service time manipulation and tanking derailed?
  12. Congratulations on a great birthday present!
  13. Boras and his group. He did say he wanted to wait another week because the owners are giving in. He appears to be right so far.
  14. Thus was in previous proposals so that qualify as a last minute item.
  15. Want to take wagers that the union won't approve it?
  16. This is somewhat irrelevant or stating the obvious. Of course anything the owners propose is for reducing costs. Just as anything the players propose is to increase salary and benefits for them.
  17. The biggest issue seems to be the union wants an increasing pool of money for pre-arb and the owners want a flat rate. Can't really split that.
  18. Of course, it's posturing. That is all part of the negotiations. It's frustrating but that's negotiations.
  19. Interesting that the deadline went from after the owners get their money Nov. 15 to before they get their money July 25.
  20. People just don't read. Each of those final offers was tied to a specific event, ie, this is the final offer before this will occur.
  21. It does because if it gets past the point of 162 games, they will need to start negotiating if the players get paid for and get service time for 162. The players will want to get paid and service time for games they didn't play. You're right where it doesn't change the current topics but those additional topics will go to the forefront for the union.
  22. Sure it is. Each one of those final offers was for a specific event they planned out. The first one was for the start of spring training. The next one was for opening day to start on time. The current one is get be able to fir 162 into a reasonable timeframe. Each "deadline" is calculated for games and season. They understand it all too well. They are willing to sacrifice games that don't generate them much revenue early in the season.
