I've always been a fan of Jose Valentin since he came over from Milwaukee. I'll defend what he has done for this team in those 3+ years any time. I love the intangibles he brings on the field and to the team, and to be perfectly honest I don't care if you agree with me on that point or not. I know what I have seen from him. However, I really think Jose's career as a starting SS has just about run it's course. I think he'd a great bench player.

JM said tonight that he will be starting because he's had success against Radke in the past. I didn't see anything in the news article you posted that said Paulie will be starting tomorrow night.

I agree wholeheartedly. I don't care if Miles is "non-prospect". The dude has a propensity for making things happen. Jiminez appears to be out there to see if anything will happen. I'd rather have a non-prospect sparkplug playing in our lineup than high-upside lazy ass any day.

The Cardinals need to just add a pitcher as opposed to replacing one. But I'd do Buehrle, Valentin and Rowand for Drew and Renteria.
