  1. Hey! Sammy did get to do his hop .... so the day wasn't a total loss.
  2. For the record, I wasn't trying to start anything. I just couldn't resist being a smart ass.
  3. Hell yes ... I would have had it checked. Just to piss him and all the Cub fans off.
  4. The was one of the wildest games ever played. 10 runs scored before the 1st out recorded. Damon getting a single, double and triple in the same inning! The very scary sight of that pitcher taking one off the back of the head. Then the near brawl at the end. Baseball always has a way of showing you that you have never seen everything.
  5. I'm sure Sammy enjoyed his day at the Cell.
  6. Yes, because I am a baseball fan. Of course, I'm a Sox fan first and foremost.
  7. I think if you get Alomar off of the Muts, he'd get the spark back that he had with the Tribe. Playing there has to be depressing as hell.
  8. When it comes down to it .... Who cares what these ESPN bozos think?
  9. Yes he did. He gets better each game out after his injury. I agree. Danny is doing as well as can be expected after the injury. And he's showing signs of getting better (not healthier, but better pitching wise).
  10. I'll be sitting approximately 385 miles due south of The Cell, watching the Sox kick some more Cubby Ass!
  11. The Twins are going to have to put Santana in the rotation. But, the longer they wait, the better.
  12. Bingo. That rivalry has 100+ continuos years of history feeding it. The only one that I'd consider just as strong in MLB is Cubs-Cards. But, because NY isn't involved, it does get the national pub that Yanks-BoSox gets.
  13. Borchard 0-fer-5 with 2 K's. Ouch.
  14. OK ... I going to really analyze this game. White Sox 4 Cubs 3 f*** YES!!!!!
  15. I agree that our staff has looked, in general, very solid. We have been getting quality starts in damn near every game lately.
  16. I'm not crazy about Colon's production, that's for sure. And Manuel is being protective of Colon by limiting his pitch count more conservatively, lately. Perhaps because he already has 5 CG and he still wants Colon to has gas in his tank at the end of the season, which might be a very smart move to make in the long run. I don't expect Manuel to let Colon go 9 innings tomorrow unless his pitch count is on the low side. So, no he won't be " the workhorse, the complete gamer, the one who gets stronger as the game goes on" because JM will pull him at or near 100 pitches. However, if we are going to do any post season damage, simply put, we are going to have to have a strong healthy Bartolo Colon.
  17. Cheap shots? It depends on how you read it. Reading that article made me proud to be a Sox Fan!!! Sox fans giving Sosa a razzing like he's never seen before just about brings tears to my eyes.
  18. To win this division after such a poor start, the Sox are going to have to simply go out and take the damn thing away from whoever. And beating them in head to head matchups is how to do it.
  19. I agree ... that would be like signing a pitcher with a sub .500 career record and a career ERA in the high 4's ... and the guy be 11-2 with a 1.99 ERA for you. It just doesn't happen. ummmmmm ... wait a minute....
  20. Hey people, lighten up! We took 2 outta 3 from the Cubs at Wrigley, then the Twins at tha Baggie Dome.... and Jose just gave as a big emoyional lift at home against those stinkng Cubs. The sun is starting to shine on the White Sox. Why bring a big black cloud of gloom and doom into the picture right now? Hell, things are good. Let's enjoy it.
  21. I agree with all steps but #2. If we get to the playoffs, we are going to NEED Bartolo Colon. Unless, he is replaced by a reasonable alternative... like Ponson.
  22. OK ... I'll try this one also. 1. Sox 2. Yes 3. 3 4. Valentin 5. 7 6. 0 7. 4.5 8. Lee 9. Yes 10 Yes TB: 96
  23. Gotta go with the Cubkilla for one game out of this series...... Carlos Lee
