  1. I really don't know how good the Packers D is supposed to be. I think they are middle of the NFL at best. Plus they had three starters out yesterday.
  2. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Sep 14, 2015 -> 09:37 AM) False. That throw was insane with pretty good coverage from Ball. The throw hit Jones right in the chest, Jones just had to turn his body back into the field of play, amazing throw by Rodgers. I just watched the replay about 3 or 4 times. I don't know how you could watch that and be like "easy catch, all Rodgers on that one." It's a well placed ball, but Jones has to go over a CB to catch it and then hang on to it and get both feet in bounds. Also Rodgers makes that throw because he trusts James Jones to go get it. He doesn't throw that to one of their younger WR. Makes me think they should have never let Jones go in the first place. Rodgers loves throwing to him in the endzone, almost like a small TE.
  3. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 14, 2015 -> 09:23 AM) Fixed Sure Rodgers has a lot part to do with it, but Jones made some really nice catches yesterday. His first touchdown catch was all him. He had a another nice catch in the end zone that came back because of a penalty.
  4. James Jones almost caught 4 touchdowns yesterday. Thanks Raiders and Giants.
  5. I think we should be taking in similar to what Germany is. As many as we can. It's the right thing to do.
  6. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 11, 2015 -> 10:48 AM) Reading about all the cheating the Pats have gotten away with over the last 15 years has really soured me on the NFL. Watched Western Kentucky-Louisiana Tech last night instead of the NFL game. Probably cutting back significantly the number of Sunday night/Monday night games I watch. They really haven't gotten away with that much. A lot of it is blown way out of proportion. Falcons admitted that they pumped in fake noise at home games, probably a bigger deal then anything Tom Brady ever did with Footballs. No one cares about the Falcons because they aren't the good team everyone wants to hate.
  7. Some coaches have come out and said it happens at multiple stadiums. Tony Dungy said it happens in a lot of stadiums. Mike McCarthy said the same thing in his press conference this morning. Seems like a league wide problem, probably not a huge deal, but PATRIOTS DID IT!!!! THEY ARE EVIL!!!
  8. Every year is different, but Aaron Rodgers vs Bears last year was insane. 40 of 55 for 617 yards, 10 TDs, 0 INTs. Passer rating of 149.0. Only played in 6 quarters.
  9. 15 teams only kept two QB. 11 teams 3rd string is a drafted player from this year or last. Develop type guys. Hundley, Siemien and Grayson type guys. Other teams had older guys, but guys that have been on the team for a while. Like Charlie Whitehurst.
  10. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 8, 2015 -> 11:33 AM) See I don't think either one of these statements is true. He's not GREAT. He's probably not GOOD. But the dude has a winning record and a playoff win. Not a lot of QB's have that. He makes plays. He doesn't make a ton of mistakes. I get that there's a lower ceiling with him, but so what? He does some good things, how's that not worth a 3rd string slot? I think the biggest problem is the baggage he brings with him. He takes away the spotlight from other players. He'd be a guy that you have to talk about constantly despite never seeing the field. I think that, above all, is why he's not on a roster. Winning record has nothing to do with it. They won some of those games his first year even though he played like garbage. He has a hard time reading defenses. He isn't accurate and has a really poor throwing motion. These is some truth to baggage he brings. He probably could be a 3rd QB somewhere, but his cultist fans start coming out calling for him to be the starter. If he signed with the Packers, his cult fans would be calling for him to start over Aaron Rodgers. Also, a lot of teams don't have a 3rd string QB anymore. If you wanna know why Tim Tebow isn't on a team right not. Watch the play below. Tim Tebow misses wide-open WR for score, comes up short on run
  11. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 8, 2015 -> 10:55 AM) I think it's pretty s***ty he doesn't get more of a chance. Given the crap that some teams throw out there, and this guy can't even get a third string role somewhere? Pretty crazy. Are we still doing this with him? Will it ever end? It's not crazy, he is awful. If teams thought he could play, he would be on a team.
  12. Who knows with Nix, he has never played in a regular season game. I remember him being injured a lot at Notre Dame.
  13. @AaronWilson_NFL Louis Nix released by Texans, according to sources. Former third-round draft pick from Notre Dame Kind of a surprise.
  14. QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Sep 4, 2015 -> 10:53 AM) Have teams started cutting, or will we not know until the deadline? I'm curious to see the "surprise" cuts. Some teams have started, but they don't have to until 3pm tomorrow.
  15. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 4, 2015 -> 11:07 AM) I was pissed we didn't take him. I love Hundley's athleticism and moxy. I understand why he fell (he really didn't show improved pocket presence / instincts his last season at UCLA), but was amazed at how far he fell. Yeah, those were some of the knocks on him. He has shown pretty good pocket presence so far. He also doesn't put his head down and run when his first option isn't open. He is always looking down field. I'm sure the Packers have drilled him on that.
  16. With all the awful QB in this league, it's amazing that Brett Hundley lasted until the 5th round. Has looked great so far.
  17. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 4, 2015 -> 08:14 AM) Lost yesterday with all of the Tom Brady news: CB Tim Jennings has signed with the Tampa Bay Bears- er, Bucs. They now have Chris Conte, Major Wright, Isaiah Frey, Henry Melton, Tim Jennings, Khaseem Greene, and Lovie Smith. This is why you don't put Lovie Smith in charge roster decisions.
  18. Back up O-Line play in this league is awful. So hard to find decent back ups. I would bet most teams are looking for some, might have to trade to get anything worth it.
  19. I love the never ending argument about this. Never gets old..... I hope people talk about it all year!!!
  20. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 3, 2015 -> 09:33 AM) This is total bulls***. Brady is a cheater and a jackass. I actually wish physical harm upon him. I still don't get how judges can tell the NFL how to run their league. If I were the league I'd tell the Patriots if Brady takes the field, they forfeit the game. You wish physical harm against a player because they deflated footballs? Seems rational. Are you a Dolphins fan? Bills? Jets?
  21. That Bears secondary could be the worst in the NFL. If they don't put pressure on a QB, they are going to have some ugly games.
  22. It's not fun to watch, but ultimately wouldn't you want to be a 3 or 4 win team over being 6 or 7 win team? Could be the difference in getting one of the better QB.
  23. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 1, 2015 -> 03:36 PM) 4 years later, the Browns have zero to show for trading Atlanta the right to pick Julio Jones They are the Browns.
  24. @AdamSchefter Browns cut DL Phil Taylor. Wouldn't be shocked if the Bears tried to sign him.
  25. @petermaer VA Gov. McAuliffe tells @WTOP alleged killer of 2 Roanoke TV journalists is a "disgruntled" station worker & police are in pursuit.
