Well Joe with the leadoff single....not bad. And Verlander surpasses 100 pitches, and is done for the night. 103 pitches for him in 6+, 119 for Jose in 7 full. Jose gives up 3, Verlander 3 (possibly 4 ). Not a bad night for the pitchers, up to the pens now as Walker comes in for the Tigers.

Infante tries to bunt the 1st pitch and misses by about a foot. 2nd pitch hits the very end of the bat, foul. 0-2 count. Now 1-2.....and fouled off. Jose looks back to 2nd, time. 1-2 pitch....in on the hands and fouled back softly. Another 1-2, JUST got a piece of it. Another 1-2, checks it up and a 2-2 count. This is killing me. GOT HIM with a nasty bender....I don't even know what that was, but it was a great pitch.

Base hit Polanco. 1st and 2nd 1 out for Infante. Jose if you've ever needed a ground ball, you need it right now.
