  1. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 06:31 PM) Despite the low seed, Ill is in one of the easier brackets. Only thing is they have the best team in the country as the #1 (despite there loss to Cuse). I wouldn't say the easiest, but other than the #4, we weren't screwed too bad to be honest. UConn is a b****, but other than that it's an NIT team, Washington, and either UNC or MSU, who Illinois is 3-1 against. Not too bad to get to the Final 4, but I don't see any way we beat UConn, which is the problem.
  2. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 06:18 PM) IF we get past Air Force, Washington scares me a lot. They don't defend, we do. Bring it. No offense, but you did see the bracket we got last year right? #16, Nevada, UW Milwaukee, a #3 seed Arizona.....first 2 in Indy, second 2 in CHICAGO...then Louisville in St. Louis before UNC. That's not a screw job, that's as good a road as you can get.
  3. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 06:26 PM) Dude there you go again! Stop that s***. Let's just focus on SD State and see what happens. Dude, I'm NOT an Indiana fan.....I don't need to focus. I can't jinx YOUR team.....so calm down, hehe.
  4. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 06:23 PM) Who cares about what Jim Nantz and Billy Packer have to say, get these clowns off TV with basketball analysis. Nantz doesn't even pay attention to hoops until February and Packer is an annoying, arrogant son of a b****. Until these guys get hired to make the brackets, they need to shut face. I don't agree with Air Force getting in either, but the mid majors got well-represented in the dance and I am estatic about that. Bottom line is that the committee didn't let teams from the power conferences who played sub-par non conference schedules get in based on a few decent wins in the conference. These schools need to step up and schedule the mid-major teams instead of totally ducking them and loading their schedules with cupcakes. *stands and applauds*
  5. I'll also say I like Indiana to make the elite 8, only to lose to the Kansas/Memphis winner. But those are 2 young teams, Indiana could win this region and I would not be surprised.
  6. I want a Kansas vs. Memphis game. That would be a lot of fun. IMO that game will happen, with the winner taking this region.
  7. I agree after futher review. UConn is a f***ing b****, but I like our draw other than that.
  8. BTW, Illini fans, we should calm down. UConn is tough as hell, but besides that.....we have to beat an NIT team, a Washington team that doesn't defend, and either MSU or UNC, who we are 3-1 against. That's not TOO bad, but of course UConn is pretty good.
  9. Here I go!! 1. Tennessee gets a 2. EVERY #3 and #4 seed has a better resume than Tennessee. Go ahead and check for yourself, it's true. Tennessee if they get lucky makes the Sweet 16 to be blown out by Michigan State or North Carolina. 2. Jim Nantz and Billy Packer- You 2 can f*** yourselves and go to hell. Sorry that all the at large can't be high majors like you want, assholes. 3. Illinois a #4: Iowa a #3 and tOSU a #2 is fair, but Illinois a 4?!?! Come on now, we are f***ed even if we survive to the sweet 16 and play UConn. Illinois finishes #2 in the #1 league in America, beats UNC at UNC....and we get a #4 to UNC's #3. Nice. 4. GW an 8. Yeah they are overrated, but an #8? LMAO, your kidding me. 5. UCLA goes 0-2 against a damn good Washington team. UCLA gets a #2 and Washington gets a #5. Also, Washington gets a #5 and Nevada gets a #5. Great job committee!!! 6. Air Force gets in over Missouri State? That isn't a joke, it's MUCH worse than that, it's pathetic. Have you seen Mizzou State's RPI?? It's about 70 spots higher than Air Force. Also, congrats Indiana fans, I think I might have you going to the Final 4 (and i'm pretty good at picking that) and I like how Duke is the #1 overall seed, yet the worst #2 seed BY FAR is in the UConn region, and Duke will get GW in the SECOND ROUND!! and then possibly LSU and that freaky athletic squad. Wow.
  10. All Nantz and Packer did was b**** that the power conferences didn't get all the at large bids. They were right to b****, but b****ed about the wrong stuff.
  11. Yeah, him and Billy boy b****ed that not all 34 at large bids went to the power leagues. f*** them.
  12. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 05:51 PM) I would just like to say that Mo State and Creighton would beat the crap out of Air Force. Mizzou State should have got in over Air Force. However, Creighton not getting in makes sense to me with their injuries and late season play.
  13. This is such a strong region, strongest by far IMO, which is saying something with the s*** 2 seed that Tennessee is.
  14. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 05:46 PM) ILL can beat UConn. I wouldn't just give up on that right now. UConn will beat us by 20 if they are interested, which they will be since it's the big time now.
  15. I'm never sold on Florida in the dance, and Boston College has a recent history of tourney s***. In terms of THIS YEAR, I guess this bracket is tough...but I can't ignore the recent past.
  16. I like the Air Force matchup, and Washington plays no defense and relies on all offense. So despite the screw job, I like the matchups in the first 2 rounds. But then UConn...and bye bye.
  17. #1 Villanova #16 Monmouth/Hampton play in winner #8 Arizona #9 Wisconsin #5 Nevada (huh? Nevada AND Washington 5's?) #12 Montana #4 Boston College #13 Pacific #2 Ohio State (no surprise) #15 Davidson #7 Georgetown #10 Northern Iowa #3 Florida #14 South Alabama #6 Oklahoma #11 UW-Milwaukee More upset potential in this thread...#11, #13, #10 that 8 vs. 9 matchup is great. Interesting.......to me, this region seems pretty meh.
  18. Every member of this years committee should be fired for this bracket, for every reason possible. What a joke, and it goes FAR BEYOND just Illinois.
  19. #1 UConn #16 Albany #8 Kentucky #9 UAB #5 Washington (WOW!!!) #12 Utah State #4 Illinois (WTF?!?!) #13 Air Force #2 Tennessee (WTF??!!?) #15 Winthrop #7 Wichita State (Valley) #10 Seton Hall (hmm......) #3 North Carolina #14 Murray State #6 Michigan State #11 George Mason (hmmm ok.....) That bracket is f***ED UP!!!!! Illinois got f***ed, I'm suprised at some teams that made it. There are teams in this bracket that don't belong, this bracket is TOUGH AS HELL overall, the seeding is bad. Terrible job committee. Illini are going nowhere .
  20. Kent over Pitt is one I'll think long and hard about. Kent can ball, and it's the always fun 5 vs. 12 game.
  21. I could see Gonzaga losing to Xavier, and Indiana could kick their ass if they get past SDSU. This bracket is impossible to predict, I'm gonna suck it up.
  22. #1 Memphis #16 Oral Roberts #8 Arkansas #9 Bucknell #5 Pittsburgh #12 Kent State #4 Kansas #13 Bradley #2 UCLA #15 Belmont #7 Marquette #10 Alabama #3 Gonzaga #14 Xavier #6 Indiana #11 San Diego State Wow, interesting bracket. Bradley got in!! Yay!! Upset potential all over in this bracket IMO.
  23. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 05:16 PM) I can't be GW dropped that much. But I'm mad that Iowa is in the bracket, plus I could see them losing to West Virginia in the 2nd round. West Virginia better beat SIU and that sick defense before they worry about Iowa. And NW State is athletic as hell and can run, Iowa will have a game with them.
  24. SIU an 11=4 Valley Teams in the dance maximum. Get nervous Valley fans...
  25. Iowa the #3 in Atlanta, there ya go. Taking on #14 Northwestern State, and damn that's a bad matchup for them. They are ATHLETIC AS HELL!!! #6 West Virginia vs. #11 Southern Illinois...hmm ok. EDIT: Duke the #1 takes on #16 Southern.
